A brilliant hotel only yards from the entrance to Petra itself. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and had everything we could need; tea and coffee making facilities, tv, safe, minibar, etc. The bathroom was also well supplied with towels, soaps, etc. The public rooms were comfortable and inviting. Our meals in the Aloe Vera restaurant were excellent as, also, was the service. The service in the Cave Bar was also excellent. We only had two nights here but would loved to have stayed longer. Can certainly recommend a stay here.

Super convenient hotel for visiting the archaeological site of Petra, next to the entrance. Clean and comfortable rooms, courteous and attentive service. The Cave Bar is amazing, one of a kind. I recommend asking for a late check out if you visit Petra..a shower is essential after visiting the.site..especially if you are on holiday in the summer months. Go very early in the morning because walking at 40 degrees is a nightmare under the scorching sun... we entered at 7.30 in the morning and it was worth it also to avoid the crowds. One piece of advice: avoid Petra by nightclub, the night visit to the Treasury...it's not worth it.

The only great thing about this hotel is the location. It is the only hotel RIGHT next to the entrance to Petra. You are truly less than 5 feet from the main entrance to Petra
The food is awful Very low quality breakfast and dinner offerings The a la carte menu is expensive for 1/10 quality
The staff is not great
I was here 3 nights, 4 days Given a standard room (room 105)
The bathroom flooded every time you took a bath (every time the bathtub plug was pulled out, the water poured out of the drain on the floor... causing the bathroom floor to be covered in two inches of water) I told the front desk about this (taking a video of what happened)--- two hours later, they said the issue was fixed. The issue was never fixed. This happened the entirety of our stay
The air conditioning in the room did not work I told the front desk about this too....
12 hours before my departure, the manager (Ahmad) says he was sorry this was happening, and said we could change rooms.....This was 7:50pm on my last night.. We were checking out the next morning. I said it was too late/ not worth the switch, given we leave in a few hours
Therefore, he offered a complimentary fruit basket (which I never received....) and a 1/2 off discount for the dinner buffet (which was awful food)
They will tell you they offer dinner buffets (many staff members will confirm -- not just one person)- just to turn around and not offer the buffet, but only offer the a la carte menu (This happened 2 of the 3 nights we were there)
The sheets and towels are so scratchy The bed and pillows are rock hard
Not worth your money.... there are other hotels around the same price point one block away from the entrance (which offer a night and day service/ experience than what Petra Guest House provides)

This hotel is perfectly sited adjacent to the entrance to Petra so we were able to walk everywhere we needed. We had a lovely room with balcony overlooking the town. The food was good. When we stayed there the hotel was practically empty of other guests due to the drop in tourism caused by the instability of the surrounding countries. Throughout our stay in Jordan we felt totally safe and would reassure others who are thinking of visiting Jordan. Our only concern was about communication. It is understandable that the hotel wouldn't open the full dining room at lunch time with such few guests but this was not made clear to us at the time. The alternative food venue at the hotel is the Cave Bar which was kept open so we did't go hungry.

Petra Guest House Hotel – special We carefully chose this hotel for its location and facilities and over 3 nights it did not disappoint. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Great room (with a balcony overlooking the mountains). Tremendous staff: On the front desk really helpful (arranged a difficult transit in bad weather to Wadi Rum with driver Amer and the Cave Bar crew (including Zayed) and restaurant team. The staff were all amazing, especially Mr. Ahmad Nawafleh and Mr Barakat Nawafleh who took care of every need from well before we arrived until we departed. Our rooms were all upgraded, they found us the best Petra guide and arranged a Christmas Eve dinner for 12 of us at The Cave Bar and a dinner prepared by a local family on the second night. They arranged all transportation and were ready to help at any time. Combine this with reasonable prices and the perfect location right next to the historic area, I can't recommend this hotel enough.

If you’re coming to Petra as a tourist the Petra guest house is ideal location only a few steps away from entrance to Petra. The hotel has very nice bathrooms equipped with robes slippers iron toiletries big soft towels, beds are comfortable big and well made with room service everyday, outdoor patio restaurant is the best location in Petra to sit at sunset or anytime in the afternoon with the shade and classical music playing and a reasonably priced food and drink menu. Outstanding service in all the restaurants, waiters going out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Buffet dinner and breakfast included in the stay was worthwhile, with the fish curry for dinner being one of the best fish curries I’ve had in a while. Also the coconut slice desert and bread and butter pudding. A great two nights! We were three friends from Dubai travelling for Eid break.

Our stay at Petra Guest House was nothing short of exceptional! The location is unbeatable, as it’s literally right next to the main entrance of Petra, making it incredibly convenient for early starts and late returns after exploring the ancient city.
The food offered at the hotel was very good, with a variety of options that catered to different tastes. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the meals were always satisfying and well-prepared.
One of the highlights of this hotel is how peaceful and quiet it is. After long days of sightseeing, it was wonderful to return to such a serene environment. The surrounding views are breathtaking, offering stunning landscapes that make the experience even more special.
The staff were incredibly accommodating and made sure that everything was perfect during our stay. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests.
Overall, Petra Guest House provides an excellent balance of comfort, convenience, and beauty. Highly recommended!
