When a review emphasizes good location of a hotel, usually there is not much else worthwhile to say about the place, but in this case, you will understand everything once you get to Petra. After spending the whole day in Petra walking many many many miles, you will highly appreciate having followed my good advice to choose this hotel for its location, at just two-three minutes from the entrance to the site. It's convenient for starting your day early as well, of course. Apart from this major consideration (trust me), I'm also recommending Sun Set because everything in the hotel is brand new and shining and food (buffet dinner for 10 JD) is also abundant and tasty. Of course, for some luxury there is Movenpick next-door, but for regular western travelers, seeking comfortable modern room at a reasonable price, this hotel is a perfect choice. I stayed there with a group and we all enjoyed our stay and the food (breakfast and dinner) very much.…
Great hotel, very clean and extremely helpful and friendly staff. They organised a tour guide to take us to the back entrance and it was brilliant. Everything you need for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
Ready to relax in our hotel today: the Petra Sunset Hotel where the cook delights us with a series of finely decorated dishes that he shows us with great pride! One of the highlights of this hotel is certainly the location, just a few steps away from the Petra Visitor Center!
Honestly folks .... from the moment I walked into the hotel as a weary traveller until I left 2 days later I was made to feel like a Prince from a visiting nation. Super friendly and helpful staff. An owner who took great pride in his hotel. Clean comfortable room. Nice breakfast and super evening meal. Only a couple hundred metres from the Petra Visitor Centre and entrance. "Shukran" Sun Set Hotel ...... Thank You
This hotel is the best hotel in Iran, I am very happy that I chose this, all the staff behaved well and the service was excellent, and I thank Mr. Ismail Ghaffari who helped me a lot, and behaved very, very well, surely later. If I travel to Iran again, I will choose this hote
We had no hotel pre-booked for our stay in Wadi Musa, so we walked in to the Sunset Hotel after a long day visiting Petra and were pleased we did. We stayed in a triple for one night, the hotel were prepared to negotiate on price, within reason. The location of the hotel is great, 3 minutes walk from the Petra entrance and 1 minute walk from shops. It is also near plenty of places to eat. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was a slightly odd smell in the room, but that may have been a one-off. Breakfast was included and was pretty good. WiFi signal was strong in our room and they looked after our luggage after we had checked out. I'd definitely stay here again, as a lower mid price range hotel in Wadi Musa.
The hotel would actually need renovation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and there is something for everyone. The location is perfect for visiting Petra, only about 300 meters from the main entrance. Would definitely come back.
Five minute walk from the Petra visitor Centre. Clea, with hot water all day, very very helpful staff and on a main road near to restaurants, currency exhchange, souvenirs etc. We stayed overnight an woke up very early to enter the Petra area. Did not get a breakfast.
I don't understand the other reviews - service at this hotel was some of the best I've ever had - true Jordanian hospitality. Service desk bent over backwards for us, making our stay so easy. Rooms are good, breakfast is plentiful, and you're 5 minutes MAX from Petra gates. What more do you need?
Nothing wrong with this hotel, but it's not one of the best. True, it has great location, just a few blocks away from Petra. However, its design and service could be better for the price. Poor breakfast with not a lot of food variety.
