Lovely resort in the old town buildings converted into a hotel. Large outdoor swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and an indoor pool for the winter months. All public areas of the hotel were very picturesque. The guest room was large with excellent a/c, but that is the only positive aspects of the room. The bed was hard and rather uncomfortable as were the pillows, there is a small window but it overlooks a public walkway therefore meaning you need to have the curtain closed if you want privacy. TV was a bit old as was the furniture in the room. The bathroom was a disaster for a so called 5 star property, it was small, with a low ceiling, no where to put your toiletries, a small bath tub with pathetic shower hose overhead with not enough head room to stand under the water spray, you have to stand in front of the spout and duck under the spray. With the hotel charging such high prices for a stay the room is an enormous let down and needs a seriously big upgrade - luckily the public areas are so good as to drown out the room disappointment. The buffet dining room offered an excellent choice for dinner, but I felt the breakfast effort was disappointing - a hot breakfast was not good with not much suitable, there was a egg station but little else to go with the eggs. Many of the breads and pastries were a bit dry, I'm guessing due to being put out for more than 1 day. Also disappointed that the hotel is dry, with no alcohol on offer, sitting around the pool area with an ice cold beer would have been just the thing after a long day sightseeing, and the large balcony in the dining room which has superb views of Petra town and the sunset really invites you sit down with a bottle of wine, again seeing as you pay so much per night I would have thought management would relax the rules and cater to the tourists expectations

We stayed at this wonderful hotel in order to visit Petra. As soon as we entered the reception we felt so relaxed and were given a very warm welcome by Musa who was so helpful and looked after us throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was very good with an extensive buffet for both breakfast and evening meal. The setting of this hotel is stunning and we enjoyed the beautiful views both by day snd by night. The pool is stunning and there were always plenty of sunbeds to chill out on after a long day exploring. Room service was prompt and the general level of service and friendliness was exceptional. I would recommend this hotel to anybody seeking a relaxing stay with top class service. Congratulations to all the team. We couldn’t have been better cared for!

The location of the hotel is amazing with beautiful views. The food and service are also very good. There is an outside and inside pool. HOWEVER some of the rooms are connected via doors which means you can hear EVERYTHING what your neighbours are doing or talking about. This gave us more of a hostel vibe rather than 5 star hotel. However they did switch our rooms when we complained, hence 4 out of 5 rather than 3 star review. Additionally, the hotel does not include ANY drinks to your dinner. You even have to pay an extortionate amout for just water. This was such a rip off. The hotel is far from Petra site around 10-20JDs for a taxi. All together I would not recommend staying there. Just book a hotel walking distance from Petra and you may be more satisfied. In Old Village you basically pay for the view you get.

I loved our 2-day stay here. The hotel property was built on the ruins of an old village, and many of the employees there were descendants of those villagers. The property is modern, will all the best amenities without compromising the feel of a charming small village. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, outdoor jacuzzi and sauna. My husband was able to schedule a same-day deep-tissue massage, which he said was excellent. The staff were the friendliest people ever, and all spoke good English. The only downside was the uphill walk to our rooms, this was a challenge after a day of touring. If you come here and have a limited mobility I suggest you ask for a room closer to reception, or a ride on one of their golf carts.

I can't recommend it highly enough and i wish we stayed longer... The property besides historical is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous view from the terrace. We were amazed from the moment we entered. The staff did everything to make us feel welcome. They are excellent from every aspect. Big room, beautiful, very comfortable and quiet.. Breakfast is super and dinner is exceptionally good in both buffet and grill restaurant. Lovely pool area (outdoor and indoor) perfect to relax after a day exploring Petra. It was a great experience and hope to return some day...

Wow, wow, wow! Outstanding hotel! The staff is super friendly, the quality of the food is outstanding! The view at meals, whether breakfast or dinner, is beautiful! The swimming pool is heated perfectly. Towels are free of charge. The minibar in the room is free of charge. Manager gave our children an ice cream. The rooms are super clean, the bathroom too. One small thing, maybe a real toilet paper, instead of tissues! We will be very happy to come back. Thank you for the wonderful stay with you! Greetings Gottal family

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at and I will stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Jordan. The staff are all passionate about the tribes heritage and the hotel which really sets it apart. They’re not just friendly and helpful but you can tell it really brings them joy that people are supporting the hotel and interested in their culture. There’s a million little things that sets the hotel apart like fruit and pastries in the room, turn down service including putting your slippers on mats, the little shop selling incense and perfumes. There is a shuttle to and from Petra and Petra by night which is a solo traveller made me feel very safe and meant I could enjoy everything worry free. The food is amazing, the breakfast has fresh fruit and pastries as well as the normal buffet items, there is also an egg and pancake station. The dinner buffet is delicious and they make fresh bread for the dips! There is also a pool side bbq restaurant which was delicious and perfect for a romantic evening. The entire hotel was very well kept and clean. The pool was the perfect temperature and there are staff to give you towels and put up umbrellas etc. The rooms are absolutely massive with movie channels, seating and mini fridge. There is also a dead lock on the door and safe for security. The manager when I checked in showed me some of the archeological parts of the hotel and explained the bricks and rooms had all been repurposed. Also the flowers are stunning. The entire place was perfection and I have no negatives.

Great hotel. Two amazing swimming pools. The rooms are large and the overall facilities are good. The hotel is a little out of town, so you will need transportation to downtown Petra. Friendly staff and an amazing grill restaurant. Congrats to Hanmsa.
