The staff at the desk and in the restaurant were super nice and helpful.

The location is good and many dinning options are within a very short walking distance.

The breakfast was good.

The room was good and clean. Housekeeping was good.

I was in the first floor and the window view was to the back of the building and the window did not close or lock properly so this annoyed me. Anyway am not there except to sleep so I don’t care for the view.

The bathroom was small. The bathtub was partially covered with glass and the open space for entrance was right next to the toilet and so inconvenient. The water pressure was weak.

My friends did not complain about the bathroom so I guess I was the unlucky one.

Location of the property, close to many restaurants (20 min by foot/5 minutes by car to Petra visitors center). Take into consideration that food price in Wadi Musa restaurants are very high due to the large number of tourists visiting Petra and staying overnight. In case you want to drink a beer note that there is a single bar in the town, located inside Petra Palace Hotel (a beer is 6 JOD/8 EUR).

I booked a bed and breakfast triple room for 3 nights with my 2 adult sons in , the hotel is amazing it exceeded my expectations. It is very clean with large rooms and comfortable single beds, it provides fresh cooked dinners when requested in the restaurant, the meals are large and we all struggled to finish everything. A good selection at breakfast time, and the staff are very polite and willing to help you with any issues. The free drop off and return trip to hotel from Petra was an excellent bonus, would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is located on the main road in Petra, overlooking the Wadi Musa. Walking distance to the restaurants and Western Union. The front office offers the best exchange rates for a dollar.
The room i got was small (we opted for a four bed). After the beds there was no space to move! The views from the room were fantastic.
Breakfast was up to the mark, and punctual. Early to rise tourists would be happy with that.
The main grouse was the front desk : rude, aloof and condescending. One of the persons tried to get me into a completely unnecessary religious debate.
The front office will not volunteer the information that for each night stay one taxi ride to and from Petra is complimentary.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are very well kept and always cleaned. It is also set in the heart of the town so is really easy to get to different locations. The breakfast and food is good and there is a large variety of things to choose from, they are also are extremely good at meeting people dietary needs.

Positives of this hotel include: clean, reasonable price, good location with numerous restaurants nearby, English speakers at the reception.
Negatives are: dated décor and furniture, no easy chair or desk chair (at least in our room). We had a twin bed room, and the beds are on castors, so when you sat up in bed (no chair to sit on) and leaned against the headboard, the bed rolled away from the wall and headboard. The shower was difficult to step into. It is set up so that you had to awkwardly step around the bidet. No face towels. No extra blankets. The shower also sprayed onto the floor (only partial shower door, no curtain). The breakfast buffet was the biggest disappointment. We went at 7:00 am and already scrambled eggs were cold, pound cakes picked over, overall limited selection and bad coffee.
"Free Parking" is a little deceptive, if is free parking on the street in front of the hotel. There is no hotel parking lot.

The location is far up the hill, therefore you get a beautiful view on the city and the sunset. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. All in all, you have everything you need and will be served a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would definitely go there again!

First the good points, the location is excellent as it is close to shops and restaurants. However it is quite a walk to Petra entry if you are planning to walk. We had to walk and were not told about the complementary taxi ride to and from the entry. Only found out from some reviews here.
The room was very basic and there was hardly any room to move. Also the bathroom was not good. We didn't shower as it would have been a challenge. Breakfast is not upto the mark and there is no water in the rooms. Was quite expensive for the experience but I guess they can charge what they do because every other hotel is expensive too near Petra

My wife and I stayed at Sharah Mountains Hotel for a week during our trip around the world. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff are some of the nicest we’ve met in 3 months. The location is very good, 5-10 min drive to Petra entrance and 3 minute walk to the main circle in Wadi Musa where there’s a lot of restaurants. There’s also markets nearby. The breakfast was good. Bed was very comfortable. Wifi worked solid. They lost water one night but that probably happens throughout the region. We also used this hotel as a base to drive down to Wadi Rum for a full day trip which I highly recommend. Petra is amazing, need at least 2 days, 3 days is ideal. Our only suggestion would be to put a mini fridge in the room. This is a great value hotel and we would stay again.

Hi, can I ask you please. How to get to the hotel from Amman and what's the cost. Thanks.
Answer from Jo C
Sydney, Australia308 contributions25 helpful votes
It costs approx 80 Jordanian Dinar (about 110 USD) with the taxis out the front of the airport to get from Amman to the hotel. The rate is pretty much a standard rate and you cant really bargain. There were buses you could take but we were time limited and split the cost between the 2 of us which helped!
