The owner is the most tourist-friendly encounter you can have, he will be able to direct you and put you in contact with all the nicest people around Jordan. Easy going, curious and willing to share the owner will greet you during all your stay and give you very precious insight on the Petra site, but also all the country. If you are in Jordan to discover wonders rather than going to fancy hotels this is the place to be.
The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, there is free bus transfer to Petra, lunch packet for visiting Petra, good central location, fast WiFi, hot water, good breakfast. Incredibly good value for the price
Good Location, nearby market place, good for budget friendly stay, Breakfast is ok. During our stay heavy rain, evening time we were went to nearby Shobak Castle, where we enjoyed beautiful snowfall, vehicle arranged by Mr. Mosleh.
Veeeery friendly, honest and helpful owner. Made our lives easy. Organized our tours, rides to sites and meals for us during our stay in Petra. He even found a cheap return taxi to the airport for us. During our stay we didn't have to worry about a thing.
We loved the Cleopetra hotel! We stayed three nights, and will defiantly stay again if we ever return to Petra. The staff were some of the kindest people we have ever met on our travels. They went above and beyond to make our stay good and memorable, including excellent drink and food, and even helping me recover a lost jacket. The room was clean and cozy, and had an amazing view. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family, I can't think of a single negative thing about our stay.
Mousaleh was so welcoming and the other staff went out of their way to make sure we were looked out for. Nice breakfast and lunches were available to take away for purchase which we brought to Petra which is only about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Rooms were very clean as well, would definitely come back!
Very good location and cozy and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this hotel such a good place to stay is the host. He is very welcoming and friendly, helped us with everything that we need and is very generous with his time and advice. We arrive in a hotel with a host and left a home away from home and a friend. Strongly recommend it!
Location is good. There is a supermarket next door. Pharmacy nearby. A couple of restaurants down the street, there is one directly next door, that you can try as well. Tips: Do order the dinner with the hotel after spending your day at petra. It's only 7 JD per person. Your leg will be sore from walking at petra. Eating-in is cheaper and more convenient than any of the well-reviewed restaurant down the street. Menu do vary so you do not have to worry about eating the same thing the next dinner. Room is clean, size is acceptable, bathroom of reasonable size (have seen smaller ones). Lunch box/bag is 3JD per person. We got it for our 1st day in petra. But not 2nd day because we couldn't finish the bread that was given to us in the 1st day. Also it does repeat so we didnt get it. You should get it whether you spend 1 day or 2 days. Saves you time and money. Most people do bring lunch box anyway. …
It seems Petra has either insanely expensive resorts or budget accommodations. We opted for the latter and Cleopetra did not disappoint. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Private shower/toilet as well. For a budget location it had all the necessities. The only minor things were the wifi has poor connectivity in the rooms so you have to go in the hallway to get a better signal. If people are loud in the hallways you can hear them quite easily. Would likely benefit from a quiet hour rule seeing as how many people are waking up bright and early to beat the hoards at Petra. Would recommend to friends looking for a budget place!
Didn't actually stay at this hotel but did organise a wadi rum tour through Mosleh after a recommendation from a friend. From start to finish he was so warm and friendly, welcoming us with mint tea every time, telling us his funny stories. He asked his guests at the hotel what their plans were and tried to coordinate everyones goals together. He managed to arrange a fantastic trip for us for 1 night in wadi rum with 6 hour jeep tour. The whole team from the welcoming committee, the jeep driver, the camp hosts, chefs, waiters, everyone, really pleasant happy staff, genuinely made us feel THEY wanted to be there having fun and dancing. Cannot recommend highly enough this professional outfit and the genuine honesty and good heartedness of Mosleh and team. If everyone was a bit more like Mosleh in life it would be much much happier place inshallah…
