Detailed Reviews
You should definitely go there. The houses look very traditionnal and cute. They have a lots of bathrooms so it's not a problem even if you will have to share one. The water is hot. Every morning and evening you will share the breakfast and dinner with the other guests. These are the best moments and great opportunities to meet people. We played music, sang and dansed every night. It was our favorite hotel in all Jordan. Enjoy the atmosphere!

We spent one night in this hostel-style hotel on a hiking tour of the beautiful Dana reserve. The owner kindly found us a room last minute and grateful we were as it was full!!
The highlight of this place is definitely the rooftop views of the sunset across the Wadi and the incredible dinner spread - the best food we’ve had in Jordan
However the room and bathroom setup was very basic - certainly more of a hostel style. We didn’t have a usable shower, the doors didn’t lock, and the room was basic.
Overall though, for the price, Dana Tower is the best place to rest in Dana and the owner was both friendly and very helpful with arranging tours. I’ll be back!!

We stayed in a room with private bathroom and double bed. The room is nice and big with a comfortable and a lot of blankets. Our trip was in december and luckily the room had (gas)heating. The common areas inside and outside and communal dinners are a great way to meet other travellers. The food was delicious and among the best we had in Jordan.
The staff go out of their way to help you and are friendly from early in the morning till night. They can arrange guided hikes (we really enjoyed our 3 hour hike with guide and freshly prepared lunch), onward transportation and laundry.
I have really fond memories of the days we spend in Dana Tower Hotel!

The hotel is housed in an anciente and tipycal building and it looks nice when you see it from the outside.
Unfortunately we have been completely deceived.
The most important thing for us in selecting a structure for the night is the cleaning of room/bathroom, we do not bother too much for the rest.
We were given a small, unconfortable, freezing room (it looked like a dismissed warehouse) in dirty conditions with poor beds and linen.
When we asked for a portable gas heater, as provided in other rooms, we were told there were none left .
No warm water in the handbasin, just in the shower. Unfortunately the filter in the drain line wad chocked so the floor was flooding.
We could clearly hear all conversations and other noises coming from the near room.
We were charged 106 JD (130 €) for one night, two dinners, two breakfast with a surplus of 28 JD on the price shown in Booking.
Disappointing!

When we arrived, we were told we could choose our room. Unfortunately, if we had a real choice, we wouldn't have chosen any of the rooms we were shown. In the end, we had no choice but to be in a cramped dark musty room, beds with broken springs and hardly any padding, and no place to put our luggage. We ended up using the blanket as padding for the bed, otherwise, we would have broken springs digging into us if we tried to sleep. This meant we were cold as it became quite cold at night. The hotel was crowded with mostly young backpackers, and dinner in the poorly-ventilated dining room was crowded with no one wearing masks while serving themselves at the buffet and no hand sanitizer in sight. This hotel should be avoided unless you're young, don't care where you sleep, and have no fear of catching covid.

Strange thing where the Expedia confirmed booking was half the price of what the hotel said we had to pay. Nice room though, great views and amazing dinner. Free unlimited turkish coffee for breakfast was great. Ran out of gas for the heater in the room in the night but it wasn't that cold.

We didn’t spend the night here, but met Salem in the village and he invited us for a night under the stars. He was an amazing host, took us to a really nice place, no people, made nice tea, shisha, and sang for us. We had a great time! He asked 30 JOD for this. In Wadi Rum you would get things like this for free. But we didn’t stay at his hotel so I understand that he had to charge something. Overall a nice experience and Salem really made us feel welcome, since the host of our hotel didn’t help us that well

If you want to experience the local Beduin lifestyle, then try to stay at Tower Hotel, a hotel built out of the ruines of the old town of Dana.
We were a group of 21 people, and we all agreed that the staff went way beyond standards to make each one of us feel special.
Special thanks go to Salem, our guide :)

Where can I start... the views from the hotel are breathtaking, very good location. The food was amazing especially dinner, such a tasty variety probably one of the best in Jordan in terms of food. The rooms are basic but had everything we need and are really comfortable. Our tour guide Ahmad is really friendly and has 10 years of experience in the trails he took us to. 10/10 would 100% recommend.

Sorry?? What do you mean? I gave the Tower Hotel a very nice review; what part is not honest?
hello.
plz take the bus to maan...and from maan at the same station take the bus which come to al qadysia...call us at 0795688853 we drive you to the hotel...or we can arrange a car for you from petra to dana at 17 jd
Hi Caroline. We did exactly that - a relatively close by trek in the morning and then went to Petra. No trouble at all. We did have our own car but you could make the trip easily in about 2 hours. We stopped along the way to look at the castle Shobak which was about 10 minutes drive from the main road to Petra. I wouldn't bother going into the castle if you've seen the Karak Castle. I don't know the price I'm afraid as we had our own hire car (which all went really well) hope that helps.
I think you can get to Dana village by bus but then it's maybe a mile down to the hotel. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to ring them and ask. When we needed picking up and moving they organised an excellent hire car and driver.
