The rooms are cozy and beautiful...the location fantastic and the staff are absolutely top ranking. The hotel have cafe on the roof with great views and drinks.the breakfast is good but can improve. Highly recommend.
We stayed for three nights in this palafito. We were unable to get a waterfront view but had a side view. Definitely try to book a waterfront view. From the street, the palafito doesn't look like much but once you are inside it is a lovely hotel. The breakfast was very good and the rooftop bar is great. The palafito is a little bit of a walk from Castro but the restaurant next door was very good and convenient. Parking is in a lot across the street from the hotel and the gate is locked at night.
Lovely stay in this Palafito. Rooms were small but well furnished. Get one with an ocean view if you can. The cafeteria on the 3rd floor served tasty light meals. We were well looked after by a lovely waitress who had taught herself English and was keen to practice and happy to be helped with her vocabulary and pronunciation.
We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Palafito, our room overlooked the bay and was very comfortable. The roof terrace, run by Pamela, assisted by Natalie was a lovely place to spend a couple of evenings - the girls really make the whole experience fun, along with great service. The manager Rosario was very helpful, even posting my sunglasses back to me in Sydney when I left them at the neighbouring restaurant. We loved this place and we're sure you will too.
The place was overall very cool. The rooftop terrace was a big plus as it seemed it was, I think, the only Palafito hotel with a rooftop terrace. The view was directly on the bay. The food was so very good at the bar (although maybe a bit pricey) and also during breakfasts as many things are home made. The lady working at the terrace bar (the manager I believe) was super friendly, interesting and was very helpful (and speaks English!). The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had the side ocean view room. We stayed in September, so it was low season and quiet. The only thing we noticed is that the floors of our bathroom needed a bit more cleaning as it was really dusty behind the door all the way up to the shower. Other than that, everything was good! There are a couple of restaurants at walking distance from the hotel but if you want to go in the center of Castro, you need to take a car (or walk about 20-30 min uphill).…
