Just to make this easy, I'll write a list of pro's and con's we experienced during our stay from April 3rd - April 10th. For reference, this was our second time in Punta Cana, and tenth stay overall at an all-inclusive resort. I'll start with the con's: 1) First impression not good. They tried to downgrade our room upon check-in, and it took almost two hours with help from a supervisor to finally rectify. 2) Understaffed in the premium lounge. Really hard to make reservations for dinners at the a la carte restaurants or other accommodations. 3) Speaking on food, there was a lack of grab-and-go options during the day. If you didn't want to go sit at the buffet or order room service, you were stuck with sub-par pizza as your only option. They did have hot dogs 2 out of the 7 days we were there, but even those weren't an option the other days. 4) Be prepared to deal with vendors everywhere you go at this resort. Not just the usual individuals walking up and down the beach selling you braids, coconuts, cigars, and such, but also frequent attempts from the staff to sell you a massage, private dinner upgrade, or a timeshare presentation. 5) The system that the staff is being forced to use is decades behind where it needs to be. EVERYTHING is done on paper. Your passports are photocopied upon arrival and stapled to a stack of other papers and filed away. When you make a restaurant reservation, you receive a slip of paper to give to greeter when you arrive. There are no computers at the restaurants, instead they just have a printed list of names, rooms, and times that they are forced to refer to...no real-time updates can be made. Need to redeem a voucher at the spa? They will print you a copy of an email that you must take to the spa with you. Same thing for a private dinner. Everything would be much easier for the staff if they just had modern networked technology to support them. And now for the pro's: 1) Despite not having a great system to support them, the staff themselves were all outstanding and tried their best to make our stay enjoyable. 2) The grounds are all beautifully maintained. It is a gorgeous setting. 3) The beach is amazing, and there is plenty of shade to be found if needed. 4) Housekeeping was timely, dependable and friendly. 5) Scheduling and performing the COVID tests, and then receiving the results was a simple process. 6) I wouldn't call it a selling point, but I'm going to list the quality of food as a 'pro' instead of a 'con'. I've had much better, and the portions at the restaurants could be considered on the small side, but I found the food to enjoyable overall. 7) The entertainment staff makes an attempt to get activities organized. I was able to do aerobics, volleyball, darts, and soccer all on the beach during our stay. Overall, this is an average resort, and there's nothing at all wrong with that. I had a really enjoyable week at this average resort in its idyllic location. It's priced like a 3-star resort, so if you go into booking with realistic expectations, I think you'd have no problem enjoying your stay here as well.

We had an amazing time. Staff is absolutely wonderful, place is clean, lots to do, relaxing kid friendly. Special Thanks to Yoiner and Bladmir!!! The only thing I would change is improve on the food a lot of the times it was cold!!!!! Are spa tub was broke in both of our rooms but other than that everything was great !!! We can’t wait to come back!

Horrible! 1) I was working there and connection was an issue, it would not be stable and they would turn it off for some mornings (until you complain and things would get better) 2) you need to complain to get something: if you want a hot shower - complain and you will get it, if you want water in your room - complain and you will get it. 3) not COVID safe at all! They had less tables in the restaurant, but they had a full hotel: so people were crowded at the restaurant not following mask guidelines. 4) not enough chairs at the pool: if you don’t go early to the pool you will not have a chair there. It is packed 5) not respectful staff: men would make jokes about “you are a princess”, “you are hot” in the middle of the restaurant! Waiter would ask for my phone number! I felt unsafe by the looks and things that they would say to me Stay away from this hotel!

This place was nothing like promise beside the view. the reception messed up and wanted to make us pay more then they said they settle everything but they lied and next day sent a bill. we wanted to leave but they made it hard to leave during a cuarentine curfew. the made us pay and in "compensation" offered a dinner. but thats not the worse. the worse comes with the hotel staff from a different area than reception gets your personal phone number and who knows what else. hours after check out. guess what. a phone call from an employee. then again afew days later then again a few weeks later and the latest is the tip of the iceberg. i got a call soliciting money $$$$. yeas hard cold cash. f-outta here and when you call managers a never available. don't go to this place. save your privacy.

So at check 4/3, in they tried to put us in a regular room, after I had paid for Ocean Front Suite. After arguing and demanding to see a manager, two hours later we were put in an ocean front suite, but no in room perks. We are supposed to be “premium”. Today 4/5, we are told there are no a la crate restaurant reservations, even though we were told yesterday no reservations were allowed until this morning. Super disappointed in this resort and will let Costco know that it doesn’t live up to the usual Costco above average standard. We stayed at the Ziva over Christmas and it is a night and day difference in how guests are treated. I will say while the staff here are trying, it seems the modus opera do is to over book and try to take a guests money without delivering on what was promised. Will update daily but right now, I’d say buyer beware.
