Was invited by a friend who rented for a month-long stay. We had to leave after week one. Even though they cashed in on four weeks. It is Filthy, Fridge leaked and they would not fix it. All the issues were indicated and ignored. We lost the entire grocery stock. Towels were stained and see-through and when we requested additional ones, they wanted to charge us 20 USD. Cockroaches invaded the hallway and a continuous stench infiltrated during the stay. No reimbursement was given, not even out of courtesy for one out of the four-week prepaid week. The staff was horrifically rude. With so many excellent lodging solutions in Punta Cana, I highly recommend that you go elsewhere in the area. I do not under any way shape or form advise this place to anyone. They lie about services and comfort and safety. They give a bad name to the industry and to Punta Cana which has amazing places to stay. Do not judge PC by this place. Just dont book…
Again the warning goes out avoid this at all cost the front desk is terrible in customer service they lied about the pool it has never been open what I was told by the people around the area the shops they say that I have never open the pool they’re still working on it it showed when I but this four day penthouse supposed to be with Pool and supposedly the pool is going to be open by the time I got here it was not and still is closed the batteries in the TV remote was completely dead the batteries were leaking acid The door to the outside balcony is hard to open it is like stuck in really hard to open When I booked it on book.com and after I had saw the reviews which I finally found it was going to cost me $45 to cancel The place is also called Ducassi Suites Beach Club & Spa Like I said do everything you can not to come here it’s not worth the value for the money stay away from this area there’s also a place across the street that’s not good which is a restaurant it’s called Bohio They will charge you 28% tax on top of your bill stay away this is a rip off place as well…
We had booked this hotel in advance for 3 nights. But one night was enough, we did not sleep a bit b/c of noise from the bar downstairs. My husband checked the upper floors and same noise all over. We asked for refund for 2 nights we could not stay there. The answer was no. My husband called hotels.com and they tried to call the hotel, but no answer. We booked an other hotel and just got email from hotels.com that Ducassi will not give us any compensation. We paid 298 € (the price for 3 nights) for one night and could not sleep at all. I can say this was very expensive. And if you really want to stay at Ducassi, note that they have salty water in bathroom & kitchen. And the noise is really horrible from the bar and corridors.
I am still on vacation with my wife staying at Ducassi Suites. This is our first time and most likely last time we stay in Punta Cana. We have stayed in Puerto Plata previously and hands down much better experience. We have had to request maintenance support for faulty AC 3+ x’s with nobody showing up. Theses rooms are advertised under multiple names “Truecost”, Airbnb and other names. The ads are completely misleading with the majority of facilities in a state of disrepair and as I would characterize the staff as having a “could care less” about their major source of income in the region...tourism. Net net you have much better options, skip this place at all costs.
Upper floor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We spent most of our time on the balcony when we were there, otherwise, we were at the beach 8 hours a day, which is directly across the street. The place is on the Aruba Street, which has many great great breakfast places and bars! DR is a beautiful country-the people are so nice and the weather is good for your soul! Staff checked in with us often to ensure we had everything we needed-to have a people that stay in touch with you is really awesome and makes you feel right at home. And when you’re on vacation, you want to make sure your place is clean, comfortable and safe. This hotel is just that and so much more. We would stay in here again in a heartbeat! I can’t wait for our 2020 Puntacana trip! It can’t come soon enough!
