Detailed Reviews
Ben & MJ wrote a review Apr 2020
Sydney, Australia

We stayed here for 5 days back in February 2020.

Shuttle picked us up from the airport on time. Was very easy and straightforward.
Checking-in wasn't the best experience. They kept asking us to pay 1000PHP for the deposit, and they didn't accept card. We didn't have any cash on us since we had just arrived from a long flight from Australia and didn't have time to go to an ATM.
After they checked us in everything was fine without deposit.

Room was okay, good size, but quiet old and had an unpleasant smell when we walked in, as if the room hadn't been open in months. After calling the front desk, someone came to spray.
Bed and pillows were comfortable and we were able to have a good rest. Just the noise from outside sometime was too loud but not unbearable.

The next day after they did the housekeeping we found that they didn't do a great job. The robes were not changed and seemed like the bed covers also weren't changed. When we called them to do it again the next day they did a better job.

The restaurant was good, breakfast buffet after the gym was a nice way to start the day. Food was fresh and had a nice variety. There were also plenty of tables so it didn't feel too crowed.

The gym had good workout equipment and it's spacious.

The pool was clean but not many people were using it, I think it was because the pool bar was either unattended or not open, we could never get a proper answer.
We could order some drinks from the bar inside, but took a long time for the waiter to come back with our order.

Location was good, since there are plenty of restaurants around the area, and a few convenience stores close by as well as a Starbucks.

Overall for the price we were expecting more, the hotel really needs some upgrades.

The thing is we booked the Robertson Hotel but apparently it's the same hotel but the Robertson Hotel is in the back of this one. So I'm reviewing this one. The hot shower was working great and i'm always picky about the hot showers. most hotels just don't really care if the showers work or not. Funny thing though about the hotel is that every amenity in the hotel is not free. you have to pay for everything, although it has a discount for guests. Like you can't use the pool without paying. You can't use the gym without paying. Also a cash deposit of P1000 is needed. Most hotels use your credit card for that. Anyways, staff was great, lobby was fancier than expected. The kids seemed to enjoy it so ok. But what really bugged me was the noise. 6am or 7am you could hear all the cleaning staff laughing in the hallway. Not just staff but also other guests. The doors are so thin that you could hear the conversation down the hall clearly in your room. The noise level is like the person outside is inside your room having a conversation with you while you're trying to sleep. The key card was also confusing because they asked you to validate the key card everyday. No other hotel in the world i've ever stayed at would ask you to validate your key card daily. But for all the nuisances mentioned above the staff was great and honest so I do recommend this hotel if you need one in Naga City. The hotel also has 2 restaurants on the grounds and several other restaurants nearby-walking distance.

Hi, Ethan! First and foremost, we are saddened that you have experienced inconveniences during your stay here with us, and we would like to thank you for taking the time to leave us candid feedback. Upon checking, your reservation was initially booked at Robertson Hotel, and Robertson Hotel guests are entitled to specific discounts at our facilities. On the other hand, all Villa Caceres Hotel guests are entitled to free access to our pool and gym facilities. Regarding the incidental deposit and key card, on behalf of the whole management, I understand your concern and the hassles it has caused you. Our hotel has its own House Rules for our rooms and facilities, which are different from other hotels and other hotels with us. Yet, we are always trying our best to be flexible in all ways possible for our valued guest’s satisfaction. Nevertheless, we always want to provide you with the best service and the most comfortable stay because you deserve it. Our sincere apologies for all the inconveniences you have encountered, and thank you for staying with us. We are looking forward to having you back here soon!

We have booked a package promo from Villa Caceres Hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary. The package includes a hotel room, free use of hotel amenities, breakfast buffet and dinner buffet for our stay, voucher for massage, and a wine with cheese & cold-cuts platter. We were welcomed with a romantic ambiance arrangement with candles and rose petals. The room is good. You can also order food for your room. I have just a little comment because I saw the matches that was used for the candles arrangement were just left on the floor of the comfort room, I think the hotel staff was being unprofessional and lazy to keep things in proper place. We have checked-in and out smoothly. We also enjoyed the different kind of foods offered in the buffet. Overall the hotel was good. and perfect for staycation and there are also nearby restaurants.

After a long roadtrip from Caramoan, have booked myself a night in Villa Caceres, small, charming, bustling area of the town proper. Jampacked with locals, events all over the hotel and people running around in their gowns.
The room rates are reasonable. The room interior are quite old but charming, good water pressure, small and clean. Buffet Breakfast is included but make sure you go early to get seats and expect Filipino dishes. What is disappointing is the noise coming from their top floor which disturbs you at night. You can hear the noise from the elecator and the hallways.
The location of the hotel is good, around 35 mins away from the airport and they have a service van to and fro the airport , that accommodates their hotel guests .
Surpirisingly, the bar was fullhouse just like the spa and the swimming pool area. They have live music where you can party and dance. Its where the locals go!
Overall, this is a budget hotel at a very good location.

Stayed for 2 nights for our road trip to Bicol.

Location: along the highway, near restaurants, fast foods, and such. Their parking space is across the street from the hotel, but you can park along the front of the hotel at your own risk.

Reservation was a breeze, we were not even asked to settle for a payment/fee even if it was a peak season.

Front desk was very accommodating. Staffs are nice and approachable.

Room: basic but clean. Complete with toiletries, bottled water was provided. Deluxe Room has no fridge, no view. AC was working great, strong water in the bathroom, hot water was okay. We had an issue on the bathroom door knob, but was attended and repaired immediately. On the side note, maybe they can make the room more sound proof. We can hear the noise from the corridor and the other rooms inside our room.

Breakfast buffet was included. They offer good variety of foods. The dining area was quite crowded during our stay, but they do strictly implement the wearing of face mask, social distancing not so much.

Pool area was nice, clean. And they also provide towels in the pool area.

I had originally booked elsewhere but it had temporarily closed due to the virus lockdown. I was transferred here at no additional cost. I ended up cutting my stay short as I was able to secure a seat in a private van taking foreigners to Manila airport.
Very modern hotel with positive reviews but it does come at a higher price. The staff are well trained, helpful and cheerful. No access to the restaurant (room service only) or the gym and pool due to the lockdown.
I was upgraded from a single room to a twin which provided me with more space and was appreciated. My room was spacious with wardrobe, table and chair plus sitting table and chair and power points for recharging. Very good lighting. The bed had clean linens and comfortable. The aircon was freezing but I didn't need it anyway. The TV had limited local channels.
The bathroom had the shower separated by a curtain. Took about 5mins for warm water and the pressure was okay. All toiletries supplied.
Overall, if you want your creature comforts whilst staying in Naga then this is the place for you.

We had our testimonial dinner here at the Dona Jamora Hall of Villa Caceres and it went well. Our graduates and guests were very happy with the location we chose as the atmosphere was very classy. The food tasted great and the staff were nice as well.

Furthermore, the planning went smoothly as the staff are eager to answer any inquiry one may have and they always offered prompt replies. Overall, I recommend this hotel for any formal event you may have as it's worth the money.

This was our first Stay at Villa Caceres Hotel.
As soon as we arrived, the warm welcome and courtesy of the well-dressed and presented staff made us feel like we were coming home. The holiday mode kicked in as we entered the vast suite room.
Villa Caceres Hotel is a relaxing place, the hotel enhances this to the max, and you soon forget the madness of the outside world. The whole hotel is maintained and cleaned to a very high standard throughout. Our suite with whisper quiet air-conditioning, a large bathroom, huge beds, and more than enough space with a generous balcony was complimented by outstanding room service.
With several restaurants on-site, including the RJ’s Buffet and Rolando’s Cafe, you are spoilt for choice, and even an entire hotel found peaceful areas for dining from early till late. Room service provided quality in-room dining of equal quality.
There is a kid’s pool and lap pool alongside the Pool bar, wherein you can dine and relax.
There is an exquisite luxury HRC Spa, and they offer different massage treatments to make your day complete for relaxation. In summary, I doubt you could find accommodation and service of this standard in Naga City at the present rates charged. Well done to all the staff, who have taken the Villa Caceres Hotel to perfection in a short time. Their performance was polished from arriving to departing, and this was a most enjoyable stay.

Stayed here for almost 3 whole weeks for a training-seminar, and it provided all the conveniences of a "home away from home". Clean, safe, and near all the basic amenities like laundry, church, convenience stores and restaurants. The buffet at their famous in-house restaurant is worth the trip from all over the Bicol region. If ever you are in Naga and can afford it, this is the best place to stay.

It's a 2 hour trip from Legazpi Airport to Villa Caceres. Talk to the hotel and they might pick you up...for a fee. It won't be the most inexpensive way to go. (probably charge over P1000) I recommend taking a nice air conditioned bus from Legazpi to Naga City for around P100. Tricycle fro Naga City bus depot to Villa Caceres is P40. There's the UV Express vans for over P100.

Stayed there August 2017. Plenty of giant umbrellas over the poolside tables. The poolside restaurant and bar is covered by a roof. The hot tub and kiddie pool has a giant parachute to shade guests. The Olympic lap pool is always shaded by a tree/vegetation wall. I got a sunburn at CWC and bought swim shirts and a swimming cap poolside at the health spa. They've thought of everything here at Villa Caceres. You're safe here.
