This is one of the most beautiful and romantic places I have ever stayed in. Gorgeous view, amazing rooms, excellent food, arusha roses, and so much more! The accomodations include a sitting area, balcony, separate shower and bathtub spaces and a fireplace. After a day on

A bit of English Country Life in the middle on Tanzania. The Lodge is truly beyond comprehension. From the butler service, to the view from the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, there is nothing missing from this hotel. The food is outstanding, the rooms homey, the people so friendly

We stayed at the Crater Lodge for two nights. I would give an unqualified five stars for the location, and the service. The food while very good does not quite measure up to its vaunted reputation. We stayed in a cabin that I think was one of the original ones built. It had an

Hello, the schedule for game drives are generally customized to you. At the crater, we only did one in the morning. It was toward the end of a 12 day safari, so we decided to take advantage of the relaxing aspect of Crater Lodge in the afternoons rather than drive 2 x per day. The trip down to the crater is a bit long, so making 2 trips down is a lot. I would make your preference clear in advance. Can't hurt. Please know that the staff will be falling down to serve you here. Your wish is literally their command.

Rhinos are probably the rarest of the big5 to see, and I don't think you will see them at the property. I was only here one night and only saw buffalo that had come close up.

Would anyone recommend doing the Lake Eyasi walk?
I can't help you with this question because I didn't take the walk. Sorry.
