We styed here for 1 week in October 2 adults and 2 children. Rooms as previously mentioned are great size, comfortable and clean. good AC, clean and massive bathroom. Good size balcony, just not very private. Food was good, we were on full board and there is always something to eat, food is generally hot and tasty. Staff were really nice. The plus side for us was that we were able to use the indoor pool at their sister hotel as the outside pools were very cold. I will definitely go back.

It's really a 3 star hotel not a 4 star just like so many others in Fuengirola. Plus points. Lovely refurbished rooms so much better than our last visit. The rooms are large with loads of storage space, air con was very efficient and also the quietest we have ever had. Free fridge, free safe, free WiFi so please take that into consideration when booking compared to the price of other hotels. Nice clean bathroom, towels plentiful and bed linens changed frequently throughout our visit, unlike the 4 star hotel in Torremolinos where our sheets were not changed once in a 10 day stay. Cleaning was constantly being done throughout the hotel. Food..... the lunch is better than the evening meal this was also the case on our previous visit in 2019. We stayed half board and we could swop evening meal for lunch whenever we wanted this was definitely a plus point for the hotel. For us breakfast was the worse meal and could be greatly improved if there were omelettes cooked to order, however for the price we paid to stay here its just something we put up with. The evening meal was OKish. If you enjoy fish then this hotel serves some of the largest and nicest fish portions we have encountered in the Torremolinos and Fuengirola area, sometimes it's a bit challenging to find something to go with the fish but you won't starve. There was always a good selection of fruit at meal times. I have read some reviews where guests are surprised they have to pay for bottled water at meal times. We have never received free water in any hotel on half board in more than 40 years of travel. If you are AI then all water is free just like any other drink. Take your own water in at meal times if its a problem. Bad points... the hotel looks dire as you approach it, certainly nothing like a 4 star and the reception area needs a refurbishment the seating area is really not good. No separate lounge to have a drink in just the entertainment longe, hotel entertainment is not our thing and it was pretty poor from what we saw/ heard. Drinks are a good price compared to other hotels we have stayed in, in Fuengirola. There is an outside area to sit weather permitting. Two pools and plenty of lawned area to sit in we could always get a sun bed, the weather was very warm for October and beds were plentiful throughout the day. Hotel is next door to the train station which is brilliant, the line runs from Fuengirola to Malaga centre with plenty of stops in between, so it's great for exploring. The trains are quiet and don't really impact on your stay. Buses run frequently from Fuengirola bus station to Mijas village and other areas along the coast. The local bus stops are just a few minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is just a few minutes from a flat promenade, plenty of shops, bars and churinguitos are within minutes, this end of fuengirola is quieter than the port area. Beautiful beaches and cleaned throughly everyday. If your looking for beautiful views and scenery this isnt the place, although you will find that just a couple of miles inland. Benelmadena pueblo is beautiful. I would stay at this hotel again. It's good value for money, clean and staff are helpful, they even tried to sort out a problem we had with extremely noisy guests in the adjacent room. You can hear the TV from the adjacent rooms as their TV is behind your headboard so if others have it on quite loud you can actually hear what is being said. Expect cleanliness, large refurbished rooms, helpful staff and close to amenities, and a very good price for the area.

The location and hotel facilities are all good. The room was spacious and a good, side view from balcony to the sea. The biggest issue by far was the food. For a four star hotel the food is very poor. Low budget and poor quality. I cannot recommend this hotel due to that but if you stayed room only or B&B I would say it’s a good choice. But do not go here expecting decent evening meals.

We had a room on the 6th floor, lovely room and great view of the surrounding area and the sea, large balcony. Plenty of wardrobe and shelving. Free safe, which was a bonus. No tea and coffee making facilities so glad we had taken our own kettle, cups and coffee. There was only one pillow each, but I asked at Reception and after returning from our dinner, two had been placed in our room. TV with a couple of British Channels. Food was nice, good choice, especially at breakast, there was only one night we eat out. Not a great choice of inclusive drinks, although I only noticed the pink gin on the day before we flew home. We didn't use the sunbeds, and although people were queuing at 10 am, there were still a few sunbeds available throughout the day. There weren't many British people at the hotel. There was evening entertainment, but we preferred to sit outside and play cards. All staff were polite and friendly. There was a bit of waiting for the lifts, and they got a bit cramped when the golfing fraternity turned up with their golf clubs! Train station, 2 mins walk from hotel. We overlooked the train line, but the trains are very quiet.

Good and bad honest review: Myself and my son ( aged 9) Currently staying at this hotel. On arrival at 10.45pm ,receptionist was very friendly and informed us we could get a snack from the restaurant if we were hungry. Hotel is immaculate and cleaned to a high standard! Room: Room is very spacious and clean. All linen is clean and smells lovely and fresh. Good size beds and balcony, tv with a few British channels but not much. There is free air con and free safe. Bathroom is big and comes with complimentary toiletries such as toothbrush, razor, soaps etc. also a hairdryer in bathroom( which is a good dryer!) room is cleaned daily and towels changed on your request by putting dirty towels in the bath tub. Restaurant: typical all inclusive buffet meals but always plenty of choice. We are staying half board basis, we have breakfast and choose to have lunch instead of evening dinner which you can change by just informing the person in restaurant of your room number. Breakfast is 08:00-10.00 Lunch : 13:00-15:00 Dinner 19:00-22:00 Pool: Doesn’t open until 10:00. There is always a queue at the gate waiting for it to Open. There is a main pool with pool bar but also a grassed area with another pool hidden in the far corner of the grassed area which many people didn’t know about. Now the bad bits! If your under 70 years of age, the hotel is not a great choice. Very limited daily entertainment at the pool, the odd water aerobics. Zero childrens entertainment day or night. The live singers in the evening start at 22.15, are awful and seem to be for the elderly Spanish tourists more than anything. if your all inclusive you’d probably end up leaving the hotel every evening. The hotel is not family friendly at all. We were unable to sit outside the bar most evenings as the seats are so close and every single person was smoking and covering us in smoke. There is a LOT of waiting around, waiting for pool to open, then waiting for drinks as the bar doesn’t open Until 11am. ( no vending machines either) Then AI and half board share the same pool bar at 11am so often waiting for loads of people to get their coffees at the pool while we just want a water. There are no vending machines for snacks or drinks at night , so only option is to walk to the shops ( which is a steep hill back to hotel) The majority of holiday makers are Dutch and Spanish. Very few British people. Lovely hotel but could be so much better! I wouldn’t stay again.

Visited this hotel in May 2022, from the outside the hotel looks lovely and this doesn't change when you enter. Decor is nice and simple, and rooms are spacious with comfy beds and great AC. We did have to ask for additional pillows fory partner and I, as on the bed was one long pillow not seperate ones. Not great for two people that like to more their pillows around during the night. Buffets food was delicious but got a little repetitive over the 5 nights we were there.

Just back from a weeks stay at Monarque Torreblanca. Firstly the good bits. The rooms are very modern with big beds. Had some of the best nights sleep I have ever had away from home. The food was pretty average but always found something to eat. It’s very good you can change your dinner for lunch if you were in the hotel during the day and fancied dinner out. Drink prices in the hotel were very reasonable. Bottle of wine for 7 euros! Location is good. 5 minute walk to the beach and bars, restaurants and shops. It is also literally next door to Torreblanca train station making it very easy to get to and from the airport. Or you can go 2 stops into Fuengirola town centre. We tended to get the train into the town centre and then make the 40 minute walk back but stopping for dinner and shops and bars to break up the journey. Now for the bad bits! There are only 2 lifts and are very busy during peak times. We had no chance of getting the lift down after breakfast with our luggage to check-out. Luckily we are only on the 3rd floor so could take our suitcases on the stairs but imagine being on the 9th! Weirdly all balcony lights go off at 11pm. Was literally like a prison calling lights out. Whilst on holiday I would like to decide on when I had finished reading my book for the evening. Lastly and by far the worse aspect was the pool/sunbed situation. As has previously been said in other reviews the pool does not open until 10 and there is not enough pool area or sun beds for the number of guests. This results in a que forming, Sometimes as early as 9am followed by a mass sprint/brawl when the gate is unlocked. I was literally elbowed out of the way by an old Spanish lady whilst her husband threw his bag onto the 2 sun beds they were determined to get! Perhaps the situation eases outside of the 6 week holidays but it was ridiculous! Overall we were happy with our stay based on the price we paid (was literally the cheapest holiday we found on Jet2 for that week). However perhaps try somewhere else if you can for similar money.

First of all, I will say we enjoyed our holiday despite few drawbacks' It say on the website that the hotel has had a makeover but I think it needs another one in certain areas. We stayed half-board for 3 weeks - myself, Wife, Daughter and 2 Grandchildren. We found the rooms very spacious and comfortable with lots of storage and the aircon is brilliant. Would have appreciated tea making facilities. The views to the sea and the mountains are lovely but when you look down it's badly in need of repair and repaint. Similarly the approch to the Hotel needs some attention All the staff are lovely, reception helpful, ding room staff friendly and cleaners, especially go above and beyond ! As I say it was a 3 week stay. The first week we thought the food was brilliant but it does get repetitive over the weeks but still good quality. I'm sad to say we did join the sunbed stampede at 10:00. There are plenty but also some better positions. The was always a Belgian chap at the front of the queue but or 10 year old Grandson beat him one day - it was great to watch ! The bottom pool is badly in need of cleaning and renovation. It was closed for one day but needs a few weeks to renovate it properly - full retile I would say. It's very handy for the station and its a nice walk downhill to the sea, but, as has been previously mentioned, it's a trek back uphill. My wife uses a walker so we used to walk down then get a taxi back. Overall we all enjoyed our stay but with some reservations

Had a lovely 10 days here. Well kept and very clean. Our room was spacious and had a wonderful view over the sea. There were complimentary toiletries and shower gel. We stayed B&B the breakfast was amazing with so much choice. We arrived late about 2am but a snack of salad, meat and rolls was laid on for us with bottles of water to take to our room, which was a really nice gesture. All the reception staff were polite and very helpful especially Juan Carlos. The pool areas were well kept with plenty of shade. It was a 5 minute stroll to the beach with a reasonably priced supermarket to the right as you got to the beach. Found a right gem of a Bistro called #Bistro Michel the meal was superb. Would need to book in advance. Also #Santorini done delicious Greek food along the seafront. Would definitely recommend but take a travel kettle.
