Mullingar Park Hotel boasts a selection of amenities that consistently receive praise from guests, such as its well-maintained leisure facilities, including a large pool and gym. The inviting lobby and the quality of food are popular, and the comfort of the rooms, especially the pillows, is often highlighted. While the hotel's service is generally celebrated for its professionalism, there are mixed reviews on value and some suggestions that certain areas require modernization. Cleanliness is a strong point, with public spaces and rooms meeting the approval of many travelers, though a few note the need for updates to keep the hotel feeling fresh.

I booked the Mullingar park hotel when I suddenly had to cancel my booking elsewhere due to covid 19 lock down.

I was really happy with my choice. This is a lovely hotel. It's very clean and the swimming pool and Azure leisure club are great. The grounds are lovely with plenty of tables and chairs outside to enjoy the sun. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The reception staff are so welcoming and everyone we met was very polite and helpful.

The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and it is served to the table because of covid 19. All health precautions have been taken. There are plenty of hand sanitizers everywhere and all the waiting staff wear masks. We ate in the bar one night and the food was nice, except for the chips which I thought were overcooked but that could just be personal taste as my daughter thought hers were fine..just crispy!

All in all we had a lovely two night break and would recommend this hotel. The only negative to our stay is that my room was to the front of the hotel and therefore near the main road so with the windows open because it was warm, the road noise is constant.

Stayed here for four night stay. Glad I stayed here the Hotel, staff and facilities are a credit to the hospitality sector. From check in to check out from Breakfast to bar food from bedrooms to leisure centre we could not fault any member of staff . The hotel is spotless bedrooms the same as is every part of the hotel. Leisure centre was fantastic the large jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and pool clean and relaxing. The only gripes were shower curtain in bathroom are dated a shower screen would be more upto date , and maybe a cold meat , cheese , salmon platter at breakfast would be a nice addition otherwise we could not find any fault with this brilliant hotel . The location of the hotel is superb as it’s only minutes from the main road to Dublin less than an hour away, We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Keep up the good work .

Had the most amazing weekend at the Mullingar Park. As soon as you walk in you can see a lot of love had been put into the place recently as it looks newly renovated. We stayed for 2 nights with a baby and they could not have been more accommodating.

Ordered from the bar menu in the stunning garden to the back of the hotel where the sun sets and it was perfect with delicious food, drinks and service.

Rooms were really clean and the beds were very comfortable, they also had the cot set up for the baby. Plus lovely seating by the window.
Breakfast and dinner was served in the restaurant and again the staff were exceptional and even got suitable food for the baby at breakfast.

Loved the dinner menu, the chef has a bit of creativity for flavor it was very had to decide what to pick as I wanted everything. The duck and pistachio spring rolls and the salmon and prawn tian on the specials menu were my favorites.

The one thing that stood out to me from other hotels was the number of staff they had, some new and some there for years but you get a great warmth from them that you don’t find in many hotels.
Even in the pool there was always a lifeguard present and other staff available if you needed anything. Including offering a family room for us to change in. The pool is fantastic so good we went both mornings, great big pool, separate kids pool and the biggest jucuzzi and hydrotherapy pool to relax in. The hydro jets are as good as any shoulder massage Also a great hot sauna and steam room. I believe you can also get treatments down but we did not avail of that.

We only left the hotel once to visit Belvedere gardens which is 10 mins away and a great little get away for walks, see an old house and a swim in the lake.

Overall a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend.

Booked this weekend away as my partners Xmas pressie along with Tickets to see his all time favourite Ballad Singer Christy Moore . I’m surprised the hotel didn’t run a package offer .
I booked & prepaid for all this back in November’19 so we were eagerly awaiting our trip.
Our Checkin was the quickest most abrupt I’ve ever had . Literally asked my name , handed out keys , pointed to the lift and said about time of breakfast. Done ! No chit chat , no pleasantries , hardly a smile . Got the impression it was change of shift time .
I had sent a message to the property via the booking agent with a request for a quiet room with a king size bed but I didn’t receive a reply .
Yes it was a quiet room and correct bed size but it was freezing !! Room was at corner of building so we had 2 huge windows but only one tiny radiator ran under one window with no ac control available to control the thermostat etc .
Breakfast on Saturday morning was a farce ! Had to wait 30 mins on a table , sat in lobby waiting for our room number to be called . A few other guests & myself had to complain about how long we were left waiting. Then the buffet was virtually depleted when we did get a table !
Had a few beers in bar on Saturday evening and as it was very busy and a concert crowd was gathering, we decided to have a ‘takeaway ‘ in our room . I asked for 2 plates & cutlery ,2 glasses which the barman gave me . But then forgive me , but I asked for a wine cooler full of ice at which point the Barman said “ Ohh for God sakes now Madame that’s all gonna cost you a fiver ! What’s your room number & I’ll get it sent up ! “ . 35 mins passed & no ice bucket arrived so I had to go back to the bar to get it myself . The duty manager served me , all apologetic for it not being sent up . When I emptied the ice bucket this morning I discovered it could’ve done with a good wash previously.
Woke up to a freezing cold room this morning but breakfast was top notch this morning.
So just asking ye to ask the staff to be more pleasant , polite & friendly . I paid out a lot of hard earned money to find nothing outstanding or luxurious about the property . I won’t be back in a hurry .

Our stay was horrible from start to finish in this hotel and I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Upon checking in we were given keys for our room and told breakfast was between 7:30-10:30 and where the lift was. Nothing else we were not told where the bar was or where to go for dinner or breakfast. Our room was dirty, I rang reception to advise and we got upgraded to a nice room and we asked for a late checkout as we had planned on using the leisure facilities after breakfast the following morning, we went and had a few drinks and dinner which was ok the cocktail menu could do with improvement my partner got a bollini which was awful. We had 2 cosmopolitans and they were ok but did get the impression that we were putting the bar staff out of there way by ordering cocktails. Also my partner asked for a Long Island but was told no because it wasn’t on there cocktail menu even though they had all the ingredients in the bar.
We got up the following morning and went for breakfast, the waitress took our order and I got everything I ordered while my partner only ordered the hot breakfast and clearly there was a mix up in the kitchen as my partner waited half an hour for his breakfast while I had finished all of mine(well what I could eat of it) the breakfast was complete rubbish fried eggs came out upside down on his plate and were like rubber, white pudding was pure muck and I love white pudding but this I could not eat it.
We returned to our room where housekeeping knocked and walked in before we could get to the door, in my opinion they should not have come near our room until we had actually checked out.
After all the hick ups we decided we were not going to use the leisure facilities or avail of the late checkout as we couldn’t wait to leave the hotel.
Then the final straw Upon checking out the receptionist tried to overcharge me and then tried to blame the restaurant for the hick up as the package I had ordered was for an overnight night stay with dinner and breakfast to be included, I had the confirmation email ready to show her. Not once we’re we asked how our stay was and we have stayed in many hotels but this was definitely the worst experience ever, this hotel is rated as a four star but we definitely did not experience four star treatment and also I had emailed the hotel to ask them to leave a wedding brochure in our room as we were considering this hotel as a wedding venue and not once were we asked would we like to view the ballroom or if we would like to be put in touch with their wedding coordinator.
I would never go back to this hotel very poor customer service and overall our stay was a disaster for a night away that we were really looking forward too.

Stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights. Upon entering the reception, you would think what a lovely hotel, this area & this area only give the impression of a 4 star hotel but don’t be fooled. The room was dull, dated & depressing. Ripped curtains, stained carpet & mouldy window sills. The shower was a complete joke, once it was turned on the water just sprayed everywhere & the whole bathroom was drowned. Again very plain & dated, grey hard towels & very few toiletries. We decided to eat lunch in the bar, dirty tables everywhere, the poor guy making the sandwiches was run off his feet. He had to come & ask us after 15 minutes waiting to repeat our order. Clear to see there was a severe shortage of staff on a bank holiday weekend!!! also took forever to get a drink from the bar. It was a terrible evening so we decided to eat dinner in the bar also, ordered the steak which was just edible by wow the chips that were served with it were disgusting, severely overcooked. Believe me I would have returned it only I was ravenous. The bottle of red wine had a stained label on, it’s the finer details, unacceptable!!! Again cut backs were clear to be seen in the leisure centre, no clothes spinners, no plastic bags for wet swim wear plus the smallest towels given out. The breakfast had to have been the worst..I was served up a completely overcooked, tasteless omelette which was clearly left sitting under a heater. Everything else on offer was barely adequate. To conclude, I certainly will not be returning to this hotel, a very disappointing experience from beginning to end.

We stayed here for 6 days on B&B basis and i can’t complement it enough . In a time when finding good staff is hard - Mullingar knocked it out of the park.
Jane at reception was so kind to my 2 girls and while morning breakfast was a hit and miss with orders for us I totally understand the pressures the young staff are under .
Our girls loved the swimming pool facilities . The pool is big so never felt crowded and what my youngest loved was that the Depth stayed the same . The staff at the pool are so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us . The steam room/ sauna and jacuzzi were amazing and so relaxing.
The family room was perfect for us and the cleaning staff were working around the clock and so helpful with anything
Overall I would definitely advise a stay and am very thankful for the staff on our stay

We began looking for our wedding venue in January 2019. From the moment we walked through the doors of Mullingar Park Hotel, we knew it was the venue for us. Not only was the reception area itself beautiful but there was also a very welcoming atmosphere. The recent renovations have only added to the impressive interior. We met with the coordinator, Imelda, who couldn’t have been more accommodating in helping us build a package that suited our needs.
We were due to be married in March 2020 but due to Covid-19, had to postpone, at very short notice, until October 2020. The team’s professionalism and kindness during that difficult time was incredible. They held our hands through every new regulation and change and were always there on the end of the phone (or to meet in person) to discuss the wedding. Never at any stage did we feel pressured to make unwanted changes. We always felt the hotel had our best interests at heart and wanted us to have the best day possible.
We were originally having almost 200 guests at our wedding in March. By the time October came, we were down to 25. We had picked the hotel because of their excellent reputation at catering for big numbers but were blown away by how well they adapted and catered for the smaller numbers. Their attention to detail was second to none. It was clear to all in attendance that everything from the food to the function room was done to the highest standard. The wedding felt so intimate and special and that was down to the hotel’s management of the event. Every guest commented on how courteous and attentive the staff were and how wonderful the day was. We had a couple of guests with specific dietary needs and the hotel were amazing in how they catered for this.
The bridal suite was stunning as was the guest accommodation. We were served a beautiful breakfast the following morning and everyone left the hotel well-fed and happy with the day.
We cannot recommend Mullingar Park Hotel highly enough to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Whether you are planning a small or large wedding (or anything in between!) you can be assured you are in safe hands and that your day will be beyond your wildest dreams. Not long before our October wedding, the hotel assured as that whether it be 25 guests or 250, our wedding would be the star attraction of the day. They exceeded our expectations in this regard and we can’t thank them enough. We had the most wonderful day, we only wish we could do it all over again!

We had booked in because we arrived a day early to our other venue. Front staff were great and helpful, booking online saves money but stay away from sites that are not their own as they add extra costs.
We were provided with a travel cot that was slightly broken, but we had our with us and used the mattress from ours with it. They provided a baby blanket too.
Breakfast was OK it was just warm not very hot. But we had a toddler with us so it was perfect for him
We only stayed one night but I don't think i would stay more than one night. Rooms are very dated but nice and roomy.
I would be back

Am a regular at this hotel and leisure centre and find it consistently top class. The most recent event was a large end of term gathering. We had the 3 course set dinner menu, which consisted of good food well presented and was most appreciated by all. It's been a long time since I heard people at a table joyfully commenting about the flavour of the food. The room was beautifully presented with crisp white linen tablecloths combined with elegant floral displays on every table. Our food was well served by attentive smart and efficient waiting staff. The only disappointment was having to go home! I have yet to stay the night at this hotel but do occasionally pop in for breakfast and generally order fish from the menu rather than the standard Irish buffet breakfast. Thank you for a memorable evening.
