Nestled in a picturesque setting, Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa offers a welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by live music and recent renovations that have been well received. Guests consistently commend the hotel's cleanliness and the spacious, modern rooms. While the location's natural beauty is a highlight, some find the lack of nearby conveniences a drawback. The hotel provides a variety of family-friendly amenities, although guests have noted some inconsistencies. The professional staff garners praise for their attentive service, but opinions on value for money are divided among visitors.

I stayed this past weekend with my husband, we wanted to get away from the madness of Dublin and did just that. From the moment you walk into the hotel you feel relaxed, the staff on reception were very welcoming and really friendly. We asked for a quiet room away from the function room or any music that might be in the bar and we got just that. The hotel is old style and is right in the countryside so you hear no noise in the mornings when you wake only the birds.
The food in the bar is delicous, we did eat in the restaurant as part of our package but have to say we preferred the bar food as it has more options and was tastier.
Breakfast is a bit chaotic it has to be said its so busy it seems like everyone comes down at the same time but in saying that the staff were well able to cope with the crowds, my husband ate the full Irish where as i had the continental which is a buffet now I would say that although the continental had some choices it wasn't very fresh on the Sat morning but was better Sunday plus it needs more options and there seemed to be a queue forming around the toasting machine & that is because of the guests not the hotel.

The rooms are spotless they are not modern rooms but do the job, the bed we slept in was too soft for us and we found ourselves rolling into each other like there was a dint in the middle of it so we flipped the mattress and that seemed to help but I do think the hotel should invest in some new mattresses.

There is a pool and its heated so we loved that plus a Spa but maybe check on busy times in the pool as we found that lots of kids were in it when we went around noon so we couldn't swim freely.

This is our second visit to the Bloomfield as were here for a wedding two years ago and it won't be our last we really love this place.

Myself husband and 5 year old son are just home from a lovely night away here. Firstly my husband booked an executive suite for just us 2 but last minute we decided to bring our 5 year old, when we rang the hotel it was totally hassle free and an extra bed was offered for my son to stay for an extra €10 for the night. The total cost was €159 for the night and there was a small box of chocolates and a mini bottle of prosecco in the room on arrival. The room was quite spacious, comfortable and had everything you'd need. The hotel is set on lovely land with a lake and plenty of space for a nice stroll, the playground on site went down a treat with my son. We ate both lunch and dinner in the bar as the restaurant was fully booked when we tried to make a reservation the food was lovely and tasty and price wise what you'd pay anywhere. The bar has a great atmosphere and very busy. We didn't stay for the evening music as our son was tired it was only setting up around 10pm but id have gladly sat in the bar even if the entertainment wasn't provided. I must mention all members of staff are very friendly here even when rushed off their feet. Thank you to all at the bloomfield hotel we will definitely be returning.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bloomfield House Hotel. We had a spacious and comfortable room with delightful views overlooking the Lough. The breakfast and dinners in the evening were beautifully presented and delicious with a good varied choice. We used the pool etc and it was very pleasant. ALL the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. A massive thank you to Katrina for making it extra special. The Covid 19 measures in place were excellent. Felt very safe. We thought it a great idea that during our stay no housekeeping came in our room. If we ran out of anything it was provided there and then.We plan another break when we can and was very sorry to leave. Even in these strange times the hotel had great vibes. Well done to all.

Three friends and I treated ourselves to the ultimate pamper package here which included:
Swedish Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage (25minutes)
Germaine de Capuccini Taster Facial (25 minutes)
Use of Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steamroom & Jacuzzi
Light Lunch & Tea or Coffee
Glass of Wine
1 hour use of of the Relaxation Room with Tea, Coffee & Fruit available

This was €89 per person. It is not available on Saturdays.

It has been many years since I last attended the spa. I noted that the leisure facilities have a new entrance and reception area which looked very smart & fresh. Also the leisure facilities are wheelchair accessible which is really excellent.

We booked 3 weeks in advance as there were 4 of us. Two of us had treatments at 12pm & 2 of us had treatments at 1pm. The treatments were very good but I find 25 minutes too short for a treatment (even though we had 2!). The girls used the leisure facilities/relaxation room while I had a wander around the grounds.

We preordered lunch the day before. We had lunch at 2.30pm & had a choice of garlic and lemon chicken or baked cod with mashed potatoes, vegetables & chips or soup and sandwich which was served with chips. They were large portions: one of the girls couldn't tackle the soup after she finished her sandwich. The food was good. It was a substantial lunch rather than a light lunch. Only one of us had the wine with our lunch as the others were driving. We received a drink of choice in lieu of the wine I assume but weren't offered any further tea/coffee.

Overall, we were at the Bloomfield 6 hours approx. We really enjoyed our day of pampering and relaxation and I thought it was very good value. I'd recommend it to others and will return in the future.

We stayed 4 nights here and couldn't have felt safer - hand sanitizer everywhere, staff wearing face masks at all times. Housekeeping didn't enter the room during the stay, we got towels etc left outside the door. Very safe and would highly recommend 😷👍

Spent 2 nights here with my wife and 2 daughters 3 yo and 3 mo. Room was ample size but unfortunately we were between a lift and stairs which meant we had a LOT of traffic outside the bedroom door late into the night. I had thought when booking through their own website that a family booking with a baby would be put in a quiet corner, but obviously not. If and when we visit again I will definitely request a room that is far from everything. Paying extra for the lake view wasn't worth it for us to be honest, could have been used somewhere else more effectively. The staff are a credit to the hotel, and how the they dealt with families happy to spend ALL day and night in the bar and leave the kids literally run riot around the hotel. It was very unfortunate that we were stuck in the middle of all the unforeseen action but I didn't let that take away from the hotel's reputation or credibility. The food and drink was all reasonably priced and of a high quality. The leisure centre is a great asset and the staff, especially Michelle, are very friendly and helpful and can't do enough to make you feel comfortable. Even with all the current restrictions around COVID 19 we never once felt uneasy or that staff weren't doing all in their power to help. Check in and out were great experiences and the girls at reception were both "in training" but acted and performed like consummate professionals and didn't put a foot wrong. We will definitely consider returning in the near future as we had a great break, with requesting a particularly quiet room 9/10

We stayed in Bloomfied House Hotel for a one night breakaway in July.
We were so glad we chose it at it was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay.
All the staff we encountered from the reception to bar/dining room, leisure centre etc could not have been more friendly & helpful.
We stayed in a deluxe king room on top floor. This was a lovely quiet room (as we requested) with a great view over the lovely gardens. The room was spacious and unusually the windows were fitted with fly screens which we thought was great idea, especially during summer weather.
We had a great nights sleep in a super comfortable bed and very spacious room also came equipped with tea/coffee making, full size stand alone fan, robes and slippers. The only way to improve on the room facilities would be a safe and fridge but it was not an issue for us.
Due to Covid regulations We had to prebook a time for both dinner and breakfast and also for using the swimming pool but this was great as it meant no queues or crowds. I hope this arrangement continues even after the pandemic is over.
The food at both breakfast & dinner was very good with plenty of choice and very well organised with social distancing guidelines being followed.
It was the same in the swimming pool and we found the water temperature was just perfect.
The Hotel grounds sweep down to the lake and is a lovely walk in the evenings.
We loved this Hotel and were only sorry we were staying just one night but will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

Myself and 13 others from the same family stayed here for 3 nights. When we first arrived the room we were given was a little too small for our family of 4. I phoned reception and they had us moved within 15 minutes. The food each night was delicious. All 6 adults loved the food and the kids gave the pizza & chips a big thumps up👍 swimming must be booked in advance and time given for the changing rooms to be cleaned. Staff couldn't have done more for us, nothing was a problem for them even under the pressures of complete table service. The playground, lake, local attractions such as Mullingar bike hire and belvedere park made our stay even more exciting and fun. All 14 of us recommend this hotel....even the toddlers🙌

I first want to say the gardens and outdoor areas of this hotel were beautiful and well equipped, the staff were quite helpful for the most part and the food was nice.

The area where I felt was a huge let down for a 4 star hotel was the rooms. My husband and I got to our room and the bed was a small double, there was no body wash in the room and there was a tiny bit of cardboard in the shower from previous guests or cleaners? There was no plug sockets bar behind the wardrobe which was pretty inaccessible and at the dressing table, there was none beside the lockers. There was a rotating part of the dressing table and when I moved it the lid of a pen and dirt came out. Positives were there was a fan in the room which helped with the heat that was there the weekend we stayed (up to 30°).

When I asked for extra pillow, for the body wash to he replaced and for extra toilet paper, they were very obliging and fulfilled my request very quickly. The food was nice and enjoyable both outside and in the restaurant and breakfast. I probably won't stay here again though due to the bedroom being such a let down. I would recommend this hotel for a day out, but not for over night accommodation.

My family and I stayed in Bloomfield House Hotel for 3 nights recently. As soon as we arrived any concerns we had about travelling during Covid were immediately put to rest as everything was spotlessly clean, social distancing rules were adhered to and the staff were well trained in how to manage the flow of residents safely. We were free to relax and enjoy ourselves. This was my second trip to this hotel and the first with a a large family group. I have to say everything was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the grounds are so pretty. The kids were thrilled with the outdoor playground, swimming pool and especially the 99 ice-cream cones which are sold in the hotel :). Looking forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommended.
