The Travelodge Dublin Airport Swords hotel boasts an approachable entrance and a prime location near the airport that guests find convenient for early flights. While the rooms are recognized for their cleanliness and spaciousness, reviewers often describe the decor as dated and the accommodations as basic, with some complaints about dampness and noise. Service at the hotel is frequently praised, with staff members noted for their helpfulness. However, opinions suggest that the hotel's value proposition is diminished by additional costs and underwhelming amenities.

The room was very warm with a heater provided, it almost became too warm which is unusual in Ireland! The room was very basic. As we stayed in a family room, there was a lovely, comfy double bed and then 2 single almost camp beds, these were not so comfy but ok for children. The room was fairly clean however we did have a few questionable stains on the bath. The breakfast was very good, it was buffet style meaning you could eat as much as you could. The staff were also very nice and pleasant. Overall, good value for money.

The location was good as it was close to the airport but I had my own car which made it easy to travel there. Given the queue for taxis at the airport at 1am I would not like to have been relying on them. The room was clean and comfortable. You can hear noise when people move around but our neighbours were not noisy so it was only in the morning when people were leaving their rooms. Given how late we arrived it would have been nice to sleep longer though. I would advise to eat breakfast elsewhere it is slow as its table service with only 2 serving staff and it's overpriced. €10 for a full breakfast that doesn't include pudding and its an extra €2 for each coffee or juice.

Had to stay here at the last minute for trip out of Dublin and needed to be near the airport. The location is good for proximity to the airport and Swords village. However, the property really needs to do some renovations. It’s a very run down property. The carpets inside are old and dirty. The rooms could use updating to make them more inviting. It’s like staying in a hotel from the 1970’s with an actual room key to open a heavy medal door. There are no basic amenities in the rooms like wash cloths, bath mats, travel shampoo and hair conditioner. The TV is about the size of a 15” laptop. There were men hanging out in alcoves below the stairs (no elevators). I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. I saw mostly men at this hotel, very few families or women. Breakfast is not included in the room price. There are much better places to stay nearby.

This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. We had an early morning flight and decided to stay here instead of having to travel from home which is over two hours away(makes a difference when you factor in three hours for check in before flight). We were very satisfied with the accommodation it is clean & basic but does the job for one night. When booking in we were offered the choice of a ground floor or first floor room. The room is large & has everything you need for an overnight/early morning departure. Bathroom was very clean. There is a charge for parking on site it is for 24 hour. We found the staff very friendly & helpful even when booking out at 4am. Didn’t eat in the adjoining restaurant as the menu is not plant based friendly- not all non meat eaters want to eat mock meat! Will definitely stay here again

I booked this hotel as it was handy for an early start to the airport for a trip away. The room we got was completely carpet stained everywhere, it had a stench and was overall less than clean, we just made do as we were only putting our heads down for a few hours. We left our car there while abroad, we decided that because our flight back was in late that we would book and stay on the Saturday night instead of driving 4 hours home, we went to the desk and the systems were down, the man said that we were booked for the Saturday night we just needed to put a card to the booking when the system came on, still at 4 the next morning they were down nothing we could do as we had to catch a flight, to arrive back exhaused on the Saturday and realise that they didn't bother saving the booking. The man behind the desk was less than helpful to us as we didn't have a clue where to start looking, basically said not his problem to sort it out ourselves. Disgusted with this service all over, never be back!!!

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. This certainly isn't the level of service we wish to provide to our guests here at Travelodge. We are doing rooms refurbishment at the moment and this include carpets and furniture and we hope that this will bring a better experience to our guests. The Travelodge in Swords was a simple, comfortable and reliable space for us to land for our last two days in the country. Very welcoming and helpful staff, clean and quiet room, and the beds were comfortable. We had been hopping between private B&Bs and small hotels throughout our trip with a range of comfort and accuracy between the booking info and the reality of the rooms we ended up with. Travelodge was dependable, we got exactly what we booked and it was affordable and well-maintained.

My door lock and chain were faulty wasn’t fixed even though I reported it. I tried the food but it was bland and unpalatable definitely wouldn’t recommend eating there either. The place needs a complete makeover of both facilities and staff, incompetence and insecure rooms.

The hotel is very average without any lifts so you have to carry you luggage up the stairs. The hotel is right on a bus route and cost $2,60 each way but takes about 50 minutes to the centre of Dublin. Did not clean the room or make up the beds as they said it was due to covid (which is now over). I think there are better value for money hotels. Cost $15 to get to the airport which is very close.. Expensive for what you get. Rooms hot and no airconditioning. Staff pleasant and free tea/coffeee in the foyer. There is an attached resturant but the food is not the best, Mac Donalds is in walking distance, Tesco about 1 mile up the road.

I stayed over night at the travel
Lodge the sink was locked. However, the room was clean, the carpet can certainly get a wash. The bed was impecabble, there was no trolley to roll the luggage and there is no lift for the higher floors, so they should provide a locker facility downstairs. I was lucky i had 6 pieces of luggage and the receptionist provided me with a room on the first floor, i could not configure how the lock for the door worked from inside? And the door had a manual key. There were no bugs and the airport was literally 10 minutes away. I even went for a walk up the block to the Lidl supermarket, fresh and enormous. The receptionist did not tell me that breakfast was being served. The reception area can certainly get a wipe down as well.

Very conveniently located close to the airport (from the airport take Bus 741 or 41 in the direction of Swords (2.6 Euro), taxi is around 12 Euro). Friendly staff, clean, quiet. If you have time, you can visit the Swords castle (2 km away, absolutely walking distance). For a great dinner in Swords (also about 2km) go to "The Old School House".
