Detailed Reviews
Very friendly and helpful staff got our group of 17 settled in. They offered us dinner (at a cost) but we opted to go back into Selfoss for dinner. Many of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities that were clean however I wish there had been more shower facilities. The breakfast was good and what I consider to be traditionally European with the addition of pickled herring. The wifi was good. The only negative was that the rooms were pretty spartan and utilitarian, and the walls were thin so it was kinda noisy.

Very nice B&B, very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished. Even the showers in the hallway are extremely clean. This B&B invites you to linger. Close to restaurants and shops. Since you leave your shoes at the entrance and get slippers, you feel like you're at home. THANK YOU

This is undoubtedly one of the very best guesthouses in Iceland. Other places may have individual things that are better, but they can not match the overall quality of this place. It starts from the moment that you arrive. there is someone to meet and assist you if you need help. Like many Icelandic places, shoes are not allowed inside. They have slippers of all sizes waiting for you. The rooms are nice, clean, and airy. The shared toilets and showers are very good. The communal room is very nice and well used. It is stocked with games and books and has coffee, tea, and water available. There is no communal kitchen, but there snacks and instant meals for sale at the desk, The included breakfast is excellent.

+1
Bitra B&B is a great place to base yourself when visiting South Iceland.
Looking at the other reviews, it is true that the rooms are smaller, but who comes to Iceland to stay in their room if only to sleep at the end of a long day of exploring.
The house is spacious, offers lounge-style environments, microwave at our disposal and small fridge.
The breakfast buffet is varied every morning.
I highly recommend this guesthouse.
The soundproofing is not at its best, but it all depends on your neighbors!

Clean and pleasantly furnished guesthouse. Nice and helpful staff. Perfect breakfast. Nicely furnished common areas with kitchen. Our room was in the attic with a sloping ceiling and a double bed. The room was only slightly larger than the bed. Besides the bed, there was a miniature table in the room. There was nowhere to store suitcases and backpacks. The bathroom facilities are common to the entire floor.

We only stayed for 1 night and for that it was a good experience. Modern, clean, simple and small rooms. Beds were very comfortable and it was peacefull; we had a good night sleep. The room included breakfast which was normal basic guesthouse breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and beautifully dark skies for watching the aurora! The guesthouse is about an hour's drive from Reykjavik so is ideal as a stop just before returning to Reykjavik, which is what I did.

This was a nice B&B on the main road about 5 miles outside of Selfoss. The owners were very pleasant. The breakfast was exceptional with many items to choose from including 2 types of homemade jam. The room was basic but cleam
