Sleep Quality
Welcome to a new way to experience Iceland’s Golden Circle. Sleep in one of ten custom-made yurts, built in Mongolia but inspired and furnished in contemporary Icelandic design. This is glamping at its best – sleeping under canvas yet with the comfort of private wash facilities and underfloor heating.

This is *the* place to stay in the Golden Circle. Skip the cookie-cutter hotels and enjoy a truly unique "glamping" experience in the coziest and most beautifully appointed and surprisingly spacious yurts. We reserved two yurts for our family of five and appreciated the custom arrangements of the beds to suit our family's needs. The beds were so comfortable, and despite the rain and chilly weather, we stayed warm and dry all night. Each yurt includes a toilet and a sink; showers and additional toilets are located a short walk away. The included breakfast is simple but lovely. A casual dinner restaurant is an easy walk away, and the property also adjoins a horse farm. Fields of wildflowers surround. Gulfoss and Geysir are only minutes away, which allowed us to visit in the early morning and have the places to ourselves. I would love to come back to Naturra Yurtel in the winter to experience the Northern Lights, but the summer experience was gorgeous, too. Our entire family agreed this was our favorite accommodation (out of five) in Iceland. Love the concept, the execution, the rustic luxury, and the charm. Highly, highly recommend!

These yurts are INCREDIBLE. Beautifully designed and thought out each has a toilet and sink and tea and coffee makeing area and also a fridge for milk or a bottle of bubbly. each yurt has underfloor heating makeing the hole yurt really warm and cosy. The bed was really comfortable with ample blankets and pillows. There's no outside lights here so when the northern lights are out you can really see them dancing arround the night sky along with the most stars iv seen in the northern hemisphere sky, we got up a few times in the nights we stayed to watch them. The hosts told us the best time to see them and were really helpful and knowledgeable about the local area with little hidden gems off the beaten tourist track to go and explore and do witch we found amazing as we love that kind of stuff.. Everything here is thought out so well from the view when you open your yurt door to the layout of the room, the underfloor heating to the distance between each yurt. We've stayed in posh hotels all round the world but this was by far the best for so many reasons. A short drive to the geezer and the glacier were you can rent a skidoo and tour over it or go in the ice cave (really fun ride to the top in a big monster buss) also one of the big waterfalls is just a 5 min drive down the road! When we come back to Iceland we will be back. If your considering staying here just do it. It's total bliss. Thank you Hubert and beata you guys make this place that extra bit special.

We stayed at Nattura Yurtel for two nights during our week in Iceland. We were so pleased with the ease of check-in and our yurt when we arrived late on our first night. We found all of the amenities to be extremely well appointed, including the shower, breakfast yurt, and our bathroom and kitchen areas within our yurt.

The location was also excellent. From our yurt, we could see geysirs erupting the distance as well as the “sunset” over the mountains. Gullfoss and the geothermal area are both right up the road, and Thingvellir NP was also easily accessible for an afternoon trip.

Perhaps best of all was the graciousness and friendliness of our host. She provided lots of helpful information prior to check-in and was able to give local recommendations for during our stay. She also loaned us chargers for Icelandic outlets, going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was convenient and comfortable.

We would happily stay again or recommend staying here to anyone touring Iceland’s Golden Circle!

If you want a break from hotels on a roadtrip around the Golden Circle, this is a perfect spot. It's a few minutes from both Gulfoss and Geysir and a 5 minute walk from the neighboring restaurant and bar Skjol.

We stayed on a pretty windy night but the yurts are solid and secure. The underfloor heating keeps the yurt warm, even though there was a little bit of snow on the ground outside. And the yurt comes with its own toilet, sink, and fridge, as well as tea & coffee making facilities. We fell asleep to the sound of birds chirping and the wind blowing around us. And when we stayed the co-owner's mom was looking after the place, and she was a wealth of information about local activities - and prepared a lovely breakfast! All in all a wonderful experience.

I've stayed here a few times and have fallen in love with it. The yurts are beautiful, very comfortable, toasty warm and clean. There's something special about being in a yurt in this environment that is enchanting.

You can see the Geysir in the distance and Gulfoss is really close as well as being about 30 mins from the Secret Lagoon which is a special place - far more natural and affordable than the Blue Lagoon. On a clear day you can see the awesome Glacier in the distance.

You're surrounded by nature and every time you step out of the yurts you're greeted with skies of different colours and beautiful light. There is an immense feeling of space that makes the soul feel good.

On a practical note as with anywhere in Iceland its important to have the right outdoor clothes but inside I've never been cold. The staff are lovely and helpful, you will feel very welcome.

And the best thing - I've been lucky enough to see several stunning displays of the Aurora Borealis from just outside my door, there is no light pollution and a bar/restaurant in walking distance. A great stopping place to see so many things and enjoy the immensity of Iceland, stay a few days so you don't need to rush.

I've been alone and with friends, it would be especially romantic as a couple. You will fall in love with this place and want to come back.

We have been delighted to have you stay. Thank you for your wonderful review. This really does capture our own feelings about the place. Yurts are such special structures. It is said that the equalisation of positive and negative energy moving up and down the two Bagaans (the two legs holding the top up) represent the balance between the earth and the sky and this helps to create the enchanting feeling you have mentioned. Along with our modern under floor heating means you will always stay safe and warm inside too. We welcome you and your friends back again.

Perfect stay in a yurt with atmosphere and great interior in Nordic design. Iceland has so many boring middle-class hotels at a higher cost than this. Náttúra Yurtel is a lovely change!

The breakfast was served a little late, so instead we got skyr and fresh fruit in the fridge in the yurt the night before, so we could leave early in the morning.

Nice restaurant/pub at the camp ground close by.

We stayed at Nattura Yurtel for 3 nights and it was nothing less than perfect. The yurt was spacious, impeccably clean, really cosy (it was -15 dc outside) and comfortable with underfloor heating + everything else you could need (comfy beds & sheets, towels, fridge, tea/coffee, wash basin, toilet, nice lighting). Everything you could need.

Each morning was a very good continental breakfast in a separate (also very cosy) yurt - good coffee too. This is when we met and chatted to the owners, who run the Yurtel, asking all the questions we had about the area/Iceland/the yurts. It was also just really nice to meet them as they’re really good interesting humans.

The location of the Yurtel is ideal. A big highlight was seeing the Aurora in all its glory right above our heads. There some really good local restaurants, close to the hot lagoons, geysers, and the surrounding views are beautiful!

Yurtel over hotel any day.

Thanks so much to the Nattura Yurtel team, we’ll be back in the summer x

The yurts are increadibly cozy and have a fun, quirky atmosphere . There was ample space for a family of four and the private bathroom was a personal favorite. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was great. The environment is very serenic and beautiful and the view of the northern lights was spectacular. The overall experience was wonderful, the yurts are the perfect getaway to break away from stress and recharge. Absolutely recommend.

The Yurts are on the one hand in a very good location and on the other hand it is an experience of a special kind. We stayed two nights and felt very comfortable. It is all very clean and well maintained. The own toilet and lavabo in the yurt, pure luxury 👍 showering in the cabins, close to the yurts, no problem. Everything is very clean. What additionally totally thrilled us is the very nice and friendly nature of the owner Thomas.! He welcomed us for breakfast, even in a yurt, the breakfast was sensational. No wishes were left unfulfilled.
Always happy to come back. With heartfelt thanks
Andreas & Margrith Tauss from Basel Switzerland

This is probably one of the most romantic and cozy places I've ever stayed at. The yurts are super nice, heated floors and overall relaxing atmosphere, away from everything.

There are a few things to keep in mind though. There are no showers in the yurts, so you have to walk to container showers. I used them and they are nice, but may not be ideal in the winter since they are pretty small (but work very well and are super warm).

There is a sink in the yurt, but we ran out of hot water pretty quickly. We didn't bring it up since it wasn't an issue and we only stayed for one night.

If you are looking for a getaway, quiet, relaxing and chill, then this is the place.
