After a long day at Landmanalaugar, we rolled in at 10pm and we’re able to use a large clean kitchen and seating area to make dinner. Lots of hot water for showers, free WiFi and a couch in the reception area, quiet at night. Best camping experience in our 16 days in Iceland.

Truth be told, we didn't stay here. But we had contacted them in advance to ask if we could do our laundry there, and they happily accommodated our request. We were greeted warmly on arrival, and they explained how the washers worked, the token system, etc. We did have an issue in that it took FOREVER to dry our clothes. Ultimately after a few hours I said "The dryers are taking forever...could we possibly use your commercial dryer?" They kindly said "yes, of course" and 20 minutes later we were back on the road to our vacation. Just wanted to thank them!

The campsite has plenty of spots for all types of campers. Hot showers, nice kitchen, multiple bathrooms, grey water disposal, bathroom content disposal, water, hot tubs, washer and dryer (washer auto dispenses detergent, clothes didn’t smell good coming out but after drying they smell okay) the dryer took two cycles to dry.
The man we checked in with left something to be desired, friendliness. He was prompt to help but not friendly. The younger man in the morning was friendly and redeemed some points here.
It’s not secluded and a bit loud, but it is a more populated area. The hot tubs were great as we did not have time to find a lagoon. All in all I would recommend this campsite as it offered everything.

We stayed here for one night and found to be comfortable enough. Located in centre of Selfoss only minutes away from the local shops and 15 minutes drive from Kerid crater.
It’s on the camping ground offering something for all. For the price you pay can’t really complaint about the place. The staff is very polite and friendly, ample parking, cottages are big enough for a quick stay during a road trip.
When we entered the cottage we had a stale smell which eventually went away once we settled in or we got used to it. It is maintained to a good standard but could do with a bit of maintenance on door and windows. Has basic amenities for a self catering stay. We opted for the one with shower, clean with toiletries and fresh towels provided.
Every time we ran the water the sink and the drains would stink, may be could be improved.
Overall a good and comfortable stay.

The laundry situation:

There is one washing machine and one dryer for the entire campsite. Both are big, but only having one of each is inadequate.

One load costs one token (which is just one coin you buy in the reception), and a single one of those costs 900 kr ice (6.19 US, 5.87 EUR as of today 25th Feb 2023). That is shockingly high for one load of laundry, and if you want to to use the dryer it's another 900 kr.

This was the last night of our 10-day Ring Road trip and we wanted to stay somewhere we could reasonably get to the airport the next morning. It was surprisingly hard to find an available room in Selfoss so admittedly, this was not one of my top choices. However, I would recommend this place to others. We had a large cabin with a hot tub and grill, but did not have the opportunity to use either. The cabin and beds were very comfortable but we left too early to try the breakfast.

The structure is in a camping area in the town of Selfoss, in a strategic position to access the Golden Circle and consists of a large area for campers and a series of independent wooden houses, equipped with bathroom and kitchen. Since it was, in our case, a base for excursions, it proved to be adequate for the purpose given that we stayed overnight on the night of arrival and the following after having been out all day. The kitchen is equipped with two electric hobs. Excellent Wi-Fi. Nearby supermarket and petrol station. Overall, absolutely adequate for the purpose.
A kettle for water and possibly a microwave would be useful. Pillows and beds were a little uncomfortable. The provision of pots and pans could be improved

Beautiful private cabin for four people. Seemed newly remodeled with a functional kitchen, two clean comfortable rooms, a beautiful living room, a deck with a gas grill, and a luxurious hot tub. While there was some confusion about our reservation (we had done it via Booking.com and they seemed to have gotten wires crossed about which day we would arrive) the host was super friendly and helpful. In the end he gave us an upgrade to the big cabin rather than two small cabins for the two couples in our party. Very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here one night near the end of our 2 weeks Ring Rd trip. The cabin was well kept, clean and functional. The owner let us use the washer and dryer. That was very nice. The cabin also has a small kitchenette. We would stay here again if we came back to visit Iceland.
