Detailed Reviews
Very good option to visit Meteora. This hotel is not necessarily in the central busy location in Kalabaka, and I certainly enjoyed the quietness of its location and how close it was to the monasteries. There are at least 3 decent dining options close by for lunch or dinner.

+1
Hotel Kastraki has the old charm. We had a nice and comfortable stay there. The staff gave us Meteora map and described each monastery and viewpoint, how to get there, etc. Everybody at Hotel Kastraki were friendly and always smiling. We booked a triple room. It’s got a balcony. The bed was comfortable. Towels and pillows were fresh and clean all the time. The bathroom is a little bit old and needing an upgrade though.
I have never seen a hotel where floor is carefully washed each time. The cleaning lady did an amazing job. My husband walked with white socks in the hotel room, bathroom and balcony and socks had no trace of dirt at all, still very white.
The breakfast was good. Everything we needed to start the day. We’re satisfied.
There’s free parking in front of the hotel.

I stayed in hotel two night , very freindly personal with fantastic service.
Receptionist Mary ( as was discovered late she is a daughter of hotel owner ) helped for me solve my problems with the road support of the rental car, called and helped in solving my other problems.
Breakfast was delicious, nutritious, and the worker Victoria is cute, professional and helped us with tips in finding interesting attractions.

Comfortable beds, and decent pillows (ie had a bit of bounce in them). No restaurant but there are several typical places within a short walk or further into the village. The one downside is the small showers - either step-in or a small sit-in bath. Plugs in washbasins a bit limited too. Breakfast quite adequate and staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel Kastraki is a well run, traditional small hotel. The daughter of the family greeted us, made us comfortable in our room, and recommended the restaurant just down the block for dinner. We had a King bed - extremely comfortable - and our view of the Meteora monoliths was front and center - mind blowing view! The price was modest (80 euros), which included an excellent buffet breakfast. We would stay here again and again, and can easily recommend it.

Nice hotel with clean rooms and a great view. Service was friendly. Went as a family and had 2 separate rooms. Both rooms did not have working AC. Cars driving by all night not allowing you sleep with the window/balcony open. Not as quiet as it would seem. As tourists we asked for a good local restaurant. The restaurant they recommended was owned by the same family as the hotel. Food was dry and would not recommend as well.

The village of Kastraki is much more quiet than neighbouring city Kalambaka. Hotel Kastraki is a good hotel. Our room had a lot of wood and the breakfast room is sort of in the same style. Their breakfast has a lot of choices. We liked it.
The hotel doesn’t do laundry and there is also no laundry in the village.

Visit Meteora Travel planned this leg of our Greece trip for 3 friends and I. They arranged our stay at Hotel Kastraki. The hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. There are a couple restaurants right across the street and taxis are readily available to take you to Kalampaka for shopping and other restaurants/bars. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel.

The hotel was OK, as promised and expected. Room was clean. The only wonder was the breakfast. If you want to eat in the morning, order the breakfast with the booking or day before you are planning to have it. Otherwise you don't get any. The breakfast time was at 8-10, but they stopped offering it at 9.40. We were last people eating and they did not sell to a mom and doughter, because "breakfast time was over". There were food left and we just were wondering, why they don't want to utiluze extra food. Otherwise OK experience.

You will visit 1 monastery and many other beautiful and interesting places. Moreover a Byzantine church of Saint Maria and some old hermitage caves.
If you will arrive early maybe you will have time to visit 1 or 2 monasteries with the bus of the line or by walk.
For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact with us.
Best regards,
