Even though meteora was really difficult to reach by bus, train etc. I'm extremely glad I managed! The hostel owners Stella & george were so nice they even let me keep my key because i couldn´t find it while being super stressed to catch my bus. I still managed to give the key to travellers who were going to meteora from ioannina luckily and who gave her the key back :D The rooms were nice and clean, i was able to do my laundry there and they helped me with all the information I needed. In general, the few nights I spent in kalampaka were great and I felt like in a movie! for breakfast I'd recommend going to "feel the rocks" and definitely hike up to the monistries!!

THE Best hostel!! Great location, ckean, comfy and everything you need. If you cant find what you need, Stella & her husband will get it for you! They are Súper nice! All the little details were so important...cold water fountain, shoe holder, wet wipes in the bathrooms, appliances, coffee, sugar, huge lockers, etc. JUST GREAT!!

This is a great little hostel, in a very central part of town close to bars, restaurants and shops. It's also a good location to hike up to the Monasteries as the main hiking route is close by. My hosts were super friendly and very welcoming, they spent a lot of time giving me advice about the area and where is best to view the Monasteries, opening times and other tips. A friendly environment in the kitchen too, where i met and spoke with some other guests. I would come back for sure.

Best hostel I've ever been. Beds have very good mattresses and covered with curtains you can have your own privacy. Every is super clean, has a cleaning service every day. The building is pretty also. Owners are very nice and super helpful.
Thank you for everything George and Stella.

Located on the most commercial street.
The bunk beds had a small hallway where things could be left, with a mirror and a hanger where things could be left. Good individual light. The mattress a little loose. I widen the bathroom, so I can shower comfortably.
The washing machine, had little space and charged 4 euros. Something expensive.
The hostel had attached a cafeteria with entrance from the street, although they did not serve breakfast. Good indoor terrace for dinner.

Excellent location, in the centre of the city, near to the train station and the intercity bus station. On the opposite sidewalk there is a stop for the public bus that goes to Meteora and in the surrounding area there are plenty of restaurants, steakhouses, coffee shops, patisseries, supermarkets, as well as other shops and services. The rooms and the other areas are clean. The beds in the dorms are spacious with large luggage storage places. The staff is friendly and at the same time professional in their work. They give all the useful information about the transportation to Meteora, so as about the buses that connect the town with the surrounding cities. Meteora Central Hostel is the ideal choice of accommodation for those who plan to visit Kalambaka.

This is a great hostel. It is centrally located, so walking distance to everything. Stella and her husband do a wonderful job. The hostel is SPOTLESS, there plenty of hot water and the beds are comfortable. It is also very safe. Stella was a great help in showing us how to use the local bus system to access the monasteries and hike through a canyon with in credible views to get back to town. She even loaned us scarves to use a skirts in the Monasteries. I would recommend staying a minimum of 2 nights if you are doing the Monasteries. It's a fun town with cute streets to walk, and great places to just relax after the big hike.

This Hostel is outstanding. The cleanliness is impressive, the beds are comfy and private for dorm style rooms, and the staff is unreal!
Class begins once you arrive when Stella sits down with you and explains the best ways to see the area depending on your time. I stayed 2 nights here and had plenty of time to see the area, drink local and enjoy good food.

The owners are the most friendly and helpful people I met in Greece so far. They do everything to make sure you're having a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and you've got quite some personal space. The kitchen is small but it has everything you need right there. Most importantly, the vibe in the hostel is great. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Meteora.

You can take the 8:20 train from Athens which arrives at 13:28. It’s very good just watch your valuables. It will give you time to explore in the afternoon but Meteora is worth another day.
