Detailed Reviews
We have been several times. We had such a positive & lovely time the first time we went that we have taken several people back to the same place over the last 6-8 years. We highly, highly recommend. Lovely, large rooms, great food, grounds & pool. But, the thing that brings us back time after time, are the people. They couldn't be more gracious and helpful. I cannot tell you the exact dates we went - there have been 4 or 5 over the last 8 years!!! You will not regret going to Chateau de Garrevaques. Five star for sure!

Very nice setting, fairytale. Beautiful park. The site is extremely charming and well maintained. Very close to Toulouse it is therefore accessible from the airport in 50 minutes.
We were received with great courtesy and remarkable kindness.
Thanks for everything.

What a nice place ! We really spent a wonderful WE. We really enjoyed the peaceful terrasse, the service (the staff is thoughtful but not intrusive), the garden (great for reading, exploring with children), the nice swimming pool, the silence, the bed, the space, the quietness. The owner and Virginie are very kind and nice and give some good recommendations. The chef is good. The breakfast was good as well. Nothing to complain about. A place we really recommend.

Our room was very pleasant, although a trifle dark and with no views. Very comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom, AC, safe, tea and coffee making equipment but no fridge. Everything very clean and high quality. Matthieu, the owner/manager was charming, very smiley and attentive and speaks excellent English. There is also a lift, which is useful for luggage. Lovely spacious well-kept grounds at the rear where the large pool is (brilliant little ‘Husky’ auto-mower which silently trundles around day and night), although the front garden is less well-kept and rather weedy. We had hot weather, so the pool was delightful, with plenty of sunbeds and shade if required. You can’t eat by the pool but they will serve you drinks. Good room service too - we had breakfast in our rooms both days and it was generous and good (although the orange juice was not fresh, which I think it should have been for €700 for 2 days!). In fact all the staff were delightful and exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only thing we felt a bit let down by was the quality of the chef. The first night’s dinner was OK, although nothing special - himself had to return his steak as it was well-done and not ‘a point’. The menu doesn’t change frequently and we were thinking of going out the second night, but Matthieu said ‘’what would you like to eat if you could have anything?” I replied ‘steak frites’ which he looked appalled at, but came back later and said we were on, which was just what we wanted! And it was good. Lunch the day before, which was a salade composee was disappointing and expensive at €20 each. Matthieu definitely went to a lot of trouble to accommodate his guests, for example coming round to the pool on Sunday to say he was going home and to say farewell to people. If in the area again we would come back to Le Pavillon and hope there might have been a change of chef!

Have just spent three nights there, and after living in France for 14 years, and holidaying there for twenty more, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
The rooms are magnificent, large and extremely well fitted out. The restaurant is lovely, both inside and out. Food is of extremely high quality, both breakfast and dinner. It has lovely extensive gardens, with a heated swimming pool, and is situated in a lovely rural setting. And the staff are magnificent- friendly and informative, and very attentive.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

My best friend got married in Chateau de Garrevaques. We stayed all there for the week-end. the most romantic week-end we ever had. Everything was done to make you feel at home in a french family. Even the owner's dog was very friendly ! The food is all you can expect from France, nice wine, nice cheeses, you shouldn't go there if you are on a diet ! My husband offered me a massage at the Spa, as profesional as the one I use to go in Paris, except that you are in a pink castle like a princess! If can afford to go to Toulouse, after 1 hour drive you'll find the perfect place to rest in a peacefull atmosphere. yoga lovers, you'll appreciate the park and its trees,

This hotel is extremely difficult to find, even with GPS, so be aware one needs to be intrepid.
Our room was fine, airy, clean and had elegant silk curtains. Matthew the owner was very friendly and kind.
Unfortunately I stubbed my toe on a clear plastic chair in the room which left me in pain and limping. l have poor eyesight so a clear perspex chair in the middle of the room was a danger.
The hotel was full of unattractive paintings and strange dead branches in tubs.
During dinner the waitress started to spray chemicals at a wasp while we were eating which seemed strange.
Dinner was good in parts. My fruit salad comprised of chopped apple and orange sprinkle with over sweet red coulis which was unappetising.
Breakfast was a tiring buffet business with no service and small choice. The orange juice was not fresh.
We were advised to visit the rather ghostly garden next to the hotel which has an ancient oak tree standing magnificently in an overgrown meadow with pink cyclamen gleaming like jewels beneath the enormous tree. I enjoyed seeing this ancient tree very much.

Never judge a book, that's what folks say. We found this place quite easily, staying for one night although the one table set for two for dinner was a little worrying. There was a party of twelve so that gave us some atmosphere but didn't interfere with us. The rooms are huge and one of the best hotels rooms we've ever stayed in, the bathrooms are a delight, two basins, bath and open shower with rainforest shower head and smaller head, they were spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. Rooms have air con, tea and coffee facilities, lovely furniture, TV (if you're bothered). There is a pool and lovely grounds to walk round. We went down to dinner and what a delight, the food was amazing! Lovely amuse bouche, the portion sizes were just right, you could eat everything and not feel uncomfortable. I had foils gras, he had scallop tartare, we both had filet de beouf - perfectly cooked - a selection of regional cheeses and then one of the best deserts I've ever had travelling round France! A sablet biscuit, with creme and tiny meringues - awesome! Nice wine selection too. All the staff were very friendly, chatty, and couldn't do enough for you, the host Matthieu was lovely to talk to and came and introduced himself to us at breakfast, which is another gem! Huge selection of breakfast items from cereal, jam, honey, yoghurt, eggs (both boiled and fried, but you do your own) to bread, pastries, and much more. So despite my reservation that the experience wasn't going to be all that good it was exceptional. For one night this place was perfect for us, and we will return.
