I will always book the Keystone Resort when visiting West Hawk Lake. The owners are very personable and friendly. The resort has everything you could possibly want. A motel, cabins, gas station and convenience store. There is also a swimming pool however I must say the pool was full of bugs which made me get out quite quickly. The cabin we stay in is always very clean. It has a full kitchen and a hot tub. It's a short walk and even shorter drive to the beach. I highly recommend booking this resort when visiting West Hawk!
We enjoyed every minutes of our 4 days at this resort. The owners and son are greeting every customers with a caring smile, they are above average friendly, Must say our motel room was so perfect, clean and very short walk to a clean pool. I can t say enough about the owners who are so busy with hundreds of people wanting to buy gas, fishing licenses and groceries, and they are still so calm and friendly. We recommend this place any time, the resort is open all year around and the prices are good and comparable. Do yourself a favor and do not read the previous review from a man name Wageh June 2019 .. he must have had a bad attitude day to write such a bad review. I say Viva Keystone resort in Westhawk Lake Manitoba!!!!
The owner of that resort (Mike) is so rude. I was phoning to reserve a room in the motel for one night, He said I have to pay for 3 nights even I am staying for one night as that is the long weekend. I asked him if I can talk to someone else called Cindy, as she replied earlier and she was nicer than him. He rudely refused and hang up the phone while I was talking in a very disrespectful manners. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a decent customer service. Plus the prices are not reasonable.
We stayed here while diving at Millers Beach. This is a hard working crew and Cindy is just lovely. The accommodations were very quaint and the cabin we stayed in was clean had everything we needed for our weekend stay. The bed was very comfortable, next time I’d bring my own blanket- the one on the bed is thin and worn down. A new frying pan in the kitchen would also be helpful- again bringing one from home is no big deal. The store has everything you could possibly need. If you are looking for a larger selection of groceries take a short drive to Falcon Lake and there is a very large grocery store. There is also free fire wood and a saw to cut it. Each cabin has a fire pit situated slightly in front of the next cabins deck (made it very awkward to enjoy conversation on the deck with our neighbours in-front of us having a fire. The air conditioner stopped working on our last day - hopefully it can be fixed before the next occupants utilize the cabin. …
I can't say enough about this resort. I stay at the Keystone at least once a year. This year I stayed on three separate occasions. I usually always stay in the motel but this year we rented a cabin. Cabin 16 was a one room cabin with a full kitchen and hot tub. Very comfortable! My only complaint was that coffee was not provided as it is in the motel units. Bring coffee filters if staying in the cabins. We wanted to return on the Labour Day weekend and stay in the motel but were only able to stay 2 of the 3 nights. Usually, this resort and all resorts in Whiteshell will only allow a booking for all three nights on a long weekend, but the owners were so gracious and let us book for two nights as we visit so much. Very appreciative! The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable. Devon is great to deal with! I highly recommend this resort! …
