So let's preface this review by saying that this is not a luxury hotel - $60/night in Banos is not going to get you the 4 Seasons. However, this place is delightful. You have a communal kitchen at your disposal ('just help yourself to vegetables...More
The house is very homely, they make the kitchen available for cooking or storing food during your stay. Bottled water available for free. The breakfast is wonderful: aside a selection of fresh fruit, juices, cereal and seeds/nuts, they make something new every day (pancakes, homemade...More
We absolutely loved our stay at La Casa Verde. We spent 3 nights there and had a room with a balcony, including a hammock, that faced the rushing river. The room was the most comfortable that we experienced on our trek through Ecuador. It had...More

Hi, So happy that you will be visiting beautiful Banos. You will love it. My suggestion would be for you to stay in Quito overnight then go to Banos the following day. I would suggest taking a taxi to a hotel in the city for the night. I would hate for you to miss any of the amazing beauty of the country because of travel after dark. We took a bus to Banos but we were in the Amazon prior to going there so not certain about bus service to Banos. We also used private drivers several times during our travels. It is more expensive but affordable. Have a wonderful time!!!

The weather in Banos does not vary greatly, except during the rainy season from June to August. Typically it is cool in the mornings and evenings and can get quite warm during the day, unless it is overcast, in which case it simply stays cool.
I hope this helps!
