This is a hidden gem, especially the restaurant, which had the best food of our trip. Some reviews said taxis didn’t like going there because of the rough road at the end, but our driver had no problem with it. Some reviews said it was moldy but our room was clean , spacious, and even had a bidet. The hotel restaurant and pool have a great view overlooking the Paraná River. The grounds are charming, with a mission motif. Service at the restaurant was impeccable, and prices extremely reasonable by US standards. The bill for ojo de bife (ribeye) which seemed like a filet mignon to us, mashed potatoes, chicken with rice and vegetables, an excellent bottle of Mendoza Malbec, and a passion fruit mousse for dessert, came to about $50 including a generous tip. I believe non-hotel diners are welcome. We stayed at Iguazu Jungle Lodge two nights before and everything was superior here at a better price, only because-it is off the beaten path. Highly recommend.

I was with my family at he end of the last august, it was a beautiful experience because it is not a traditional hotel. The place is very nice and the staff polite and warm. You have breakfast looking at the Paraná river and the Paraguayan coast. The room was large and comfortable.

The hotel have a good atmosphere, and an average service, however due to the old building smell like mold and is quite far from town in a dirt road. It can be an exotic location near the river and walking distance to the 3 fronteras monument. At the restaurant they have tango shows at dinner time.

Wonderful hotel that offers river view, a museum, and clean, comfortable rooms. Hotel staff was super friendly and cordial as well as restaurant staff. As you make your way to your room, you can stop by the museum to learn more about the Guarani culture. Our room was very spacious and super clean. We had a chance to try traditional foods such as mate cocido, mbeyu, reviro, and dulce de leche. As you dine you can enjoy the beautiful river view and even a tango show. My favorite part was the natural setting and taking a few minutes during sunrise and sunset to enjoy the sound of birds in the rainforest.... truly a wholehearted cultural experience for the senses!!!

Very dirty hotel, towels, and linens stained - even the curtains! We found giant cockroaches in our room on multiple occasions. Yes, it's the jungle, but this is advertised as an upscale hotel. Mold all over the bathroom and ceiling. Hotel is very far from town, which requires a taxi each way. The restaurant is overpriced as a result (800 pesos for a mediocre main plate!) The one highlight was the gorgeous infinity pool!

The spectacular river view and the historic character of the place make it worth visiting for lunch or dinner even if you're not staying there. Museum-like display of Guarani history and artifacts, and the feel of a Jesuit mission. Well worth it!

The access route to this hotel is not great - down some rough-looking roads about a mile from the centre of Puerto Iguazú. Once there however, you get a very warm and organised welcome and enter into a high-quality hotel set-up, with helpful friendly staff. The reception and hotel rooms are housed in converted red stone mission buildings with everything you need. The furnishings are practical rather than luxurious but you’ll feel perfectly comfortable. All the surroundings are green and glowing. There are two pools - a large open pool with lots of space around it, plus a smaller infinity pool overlooking the river. The restaurant and breakfast building is stunning with great river views. The food we had in the restaurant was ok but not exceptional, though that may just have been our choices. Breakfast is good and wi-fi is excellent. If you manage to get Hugo as your taxi driver from the airport, then he’ll happily assist you throughout your stay.

What a fabulous hotel. I could easily spend a week here, if not for one tiny problem... there's really not much to do in Iguazu to merit staying that long. The falls are incredible and the town is fine enough for killing time, but I wish I could come up with a reason to spend more time here. The rooms are fantastic, the restaurant is exceptional, the spa and pool are divine, the breakfast buffet is delicious, the grounds and views are picturesque — even the lobby is cozy. Again, I just need a good reason to come back and I'm there.

Very happy I only had to spend one night in this dump. The pillow cases don’t cover the entire pillow - ieeeeuuwww - my bathroom was not cleaned. Already at first glimpse it was obviously not cleaned and wanting to throw away something I found out the garbage bin was full with rather personal garbage. Breakfast quite poor. Totally NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Staff were as indifferent as could be - even when pointing out there were sanatary napkins in my bathroom. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! RECOMMENDED

Sadly this hotel was a great disappointment. 1. It is very far from the Falls if that is your reason for visiting 2. Isolated. No restaurants or shops nearby so only hotel to eat at 3. Taxis expensive to go anywhere due to location 4. There is a Compound right next door with a large swimming pool which plays loud music all day. Very intrusive. Same place played rave music ALL night on Friday 15th. 4.20amSTILL going and VERY loud. Police were called eventually to shut it down. Reception next morning not too bothered. Said it is a regular occurrence. Don't know who Manager is. Only ever seemed to be regular staff on duty who didn't speak much English. Wi-fi never worked on my iPhone 7 for the 3 nights I was there. To be fair it worked on my husband's who has same phone. Weird! I had read the positive reviews before choosing this hotel so was surprised when I had this experience. Recommend a hotel in town. (Puerto Iguazu) if just here for Falls. Plus side. 2 very friendly dogs seem to live there!
