The positive points are: good location, close to several tourist attractions, such as the Casa Rosada, obelisk, Palacio Barolo, Café Tortoni, etc.. close to the metro, there is a Carrefour on the same sidewalk, close to Western Union agencies, restaurants and coffees, another positive point is the value.
Regarding the negative points, we have: small and slow elevator, only accommodates 3 people, sometimes the wait was so long that we preferred to take the stairs, the wallpaper in the room looked moldy, the beds had broken springs, the bathroom was not There was a carpet, the room doesn't have a full-length mirror, but the worst of all was that one day we had to take a cold shower because there was a problem with the hot water pipes, which flooded the entire reception area and took a whole day to fix. .. given the naturalness of the hotel staff regarding the problem, it seemed to be something recurring...

The location, second to none, close to the metro and Corrientes. Away from the noise.
The room very cramped, the evenings small and showed the passage of time relentless.
The bathroom very well, with shower with very good water pressure, hot water.
The bidet is always appreciated when staying in Argentina.
The electronic key failed 50% of the time.
The deplorable electrical installation, I was always afraid to connect my cell phone.
The slow, narrow elevators.

This hotel is old and worn down. It’s worth nothing I booked a small budget twin room, the larger rooms could be nicer? The hotel was noisy, the paint was peeling, the room was very small, but the price was right. I arrived around 11am and was looking for a place to crash for a little bit for a 12 hour layover that would let me explore the city. The front desk checked me in right away with no questions asked which was great. However the front desk was staffed by someone who didn’t speak great English, so certainly not really a bilingual hotel and not sure I could have gotten a lot of help had I needed it. The hotel was cheap at 48 usd so it served what I wanted. I would definitely think of this hotel more as a 2 star motel than a 3 star hotel. Had more hostel like vibes than a hotel. Fine for a long layover like I had but I wouldn’t stay for an extended vacation unless you get a good deal and you’re on a tight budget. Location is great, close to tourist attractions and walking distance. You have to walk a bit to get to the famous pink building in the current TA cover photo so that is a bit misleading. Easy to flag a taxi outside the hotel which was a plus.

First, the publications are misleading regarding the price, they publish it in pesos at the official dollar rate, which is not real. You end up paying double, since they charge you in dollars and the service they provide is a scam (it has no destination).
The attention is lazy, the facilities are very old and it is the first time I have seen such narrow individual beds.
The room smelled musty, the air conditioning didn't work, and when I went to take a shower I found that one of the soaps was used and full of hair.

Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires is located on Avenidad 9 de Julio. The hotel was easy to find, being situated on the main thoroughfare. The avenue is really wide and tree-lined, making it a perfect one for a long walk. The hotel is within walking distance from some of the main landmarks of BA, namely Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada (presidential palace), Teatro Colon and the iconic Obelisco are within walking distance. There are several food joints nearby. All said and done, the hotel is in a good locality. I had chosen a single room and it was really small but clean. I needed to catch a flight at 5 AM and the receptionist arranged for a taxi. For a night, the hotel is really convenient.

Great location , very good value, super clean. Had a “junior suite” and nothing to complain about, UNTIL: After first day room was not cleaned and when inquired I was told the price did not include that service but could be added for an extra USD 12per day increasing the room price by 33 % !
Wrote to agoda.com and was assured that cleaning was included. What trick costing the hotel 2 stars.

I am Argentine, for foreigners accustomed to other comforts, technologies, almost 90% of Argentina's structure would be terrible, I verified it when traveling. But comparing only Argentinian, it is a nice hotel to stay in. Clean porcelain floors (the good thing is that they don't have old carpets) the bathrooms are in good condition. Only the air did not work, the motor compressor in room 412 did not start. The service was good, they were friendly. Nice location. The hot and cold water dispenser does not reach the temperature for mate, and takes a long time to heat up. It doesn't have ftihobar. I give it a 7 point

Located in the city centre (10 minutes from the obelisk) it is a hotel that clearly have seen better times. Dated, poor housekeeping (found a use towel behind the bed when trying to use the socket) and except one of the night receptionist, the morning team seem quite serious and unapproachable. The room itself is not bad and the water pressure and temperature are great.

Simple hotel, old, with accessibility (although I did not stay in a room adapted, say that only from the reception, breakfast area and bedroom), with excellent location. In the center, there are few meters of the main streets like Florida. Next to it is Carrefour 24h. If you don't want something sophisticated, it's a good choice, again, basic hotel. Near the Casa Rosada, Madero (I did everything walking). Basic care, I did not need much interaction with the employees. For a fee, they schedule a transfer and/or return airport.

We had the bad luck to stay at this hotel in August 2023. Mainly because of the attention we received. There was this bald employee, I think his last name was Monti or something like that. He treated us in a very rude manner and when it came time to charge us he insisted on doing it in cash. I'm almost sure that he scammed us to keep some of the money. This hotel should put honest and educated people to deal with customers. People like this guy should be fired. Horrible experience!
