My husband and I just wanted to sit down and have a drink somewhere and relax a bit before our tour as once again we had walked miles. We walked in, acknowledged by no one, waited a while then decided to go sit down. We saw another lady come in, she sat down….she got up to get a menu then so did I. A server finally walked by, we watched then for a long time up at the bar, when she walked by, she acknowledged me but never came back to get our order. We sat for 20 minutes and nothing. They were not crowded either and one of the ladies was just standing around really. We left after 20 minutes of nothing. Terrible.

A good location for seeing the centre. Hop on hop off bus stop within easy walking distance. Staff very pleasant and accommodating/ good breakfast and very pleasant and spacious lounge/ bar area. Comfortable room and bed. Wandered into the shopping/ restaurant quarter by accident - only a short walk from the hotel - seemed very vibrant but unfortunately weren’t able to stay long as we had to pack for early flight up to the Iguazú falls on the following day.

This is a very good hotel, located at the heart of Buenos Aires, making the visit to the city very easily. Although the building needs to be refreshed, the very kind and professional staff make for it. We were 5day at this hotel and we enjoyed the location, the kindness and staff and breakfast. We will be back indeed to this hotel.

It’s an old hotel with that period grandeur - they do try hard to maintain Pros : In centre of city - close to most places - Uber dead cheap £2-£3 max to local tourist spots & walks Rooms ok size Beds comfortable Staff in reception helpful Lovely bar - looks like out of a Agatha Christie movie Given inflation - western union office close by offering great rate of $ exchange rate Tip- take $ NOT £’s as they are not intrested !! $ ‘s get great rates Porters helpful & speak good English Cons : Privacy limited in rooms - over looks flats opposite Bathrooms old - water flows out of shower all over - poor planning Breakfast very Poor ! Juices cheap standard / only scrambled egg plus unbeatable tiny pieces of sausage ( ?) Dining room staff unhelpful No coffee making in room Couldn’t see room service Argentina is going through a difficult phase now as we can see with a lot of homeless people etc .. Whilst clean and nicely decorated in public areas, the rooms are a bit shabby in parts eg chips in bath and furniture in need of touch up etc. We booked a junior suite and it was v dark but big. No daylight. Not worth any extra £. Cleaning v superficial. We had to change rooms (to an inferior sized room which staff claimed as an upgrade) due to problems with air conditioning. Reception staff were helpful for shows/trips but money change from bill was paid in pesos on official rate which was lower than change we had received previously from a street vendor! Breakfast was ordinary and pretty much continental other than runny scrambled eggs and sausages. Restaurant staff quite unhelpful in general and v glum. This is fading glamour a bit like Buenos Aires itself.

The staff were fantastic. It was our first visit to BA and we had lots of questions. The desk staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a super stay. We got advice on the underground, places to eat and shopping. I wish I could recall the names

The hotel was well positioned and close to all amenities. The hotel staff were very friendly and exceedingly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I had left my phone in the taxi and they contacted the car company and it was back in my possession within minutes. They loaned us a phone charger for the duration of our stay. They also recommended a restaurant which was very authentic with great food, atmosphere and hospitality at a great price. All in all they made our stay a great one and we will be back. The hotel was a magnificent place full of character and charm from a bygone age but with modern overtones. What was great was that Einstein visited here in 1925 and our friend who was a lookalike was amazed at this.

The hotel os confortable. Some details need improviment like: Ar condional was not working. There's no explanation inside bedroom explain How to use internet. The shower is terrible because The floor goes wet everytime you take a shower. The Glass tô protect The Walter is to short. And there ia no hanging for towels next to The shower. And alão, there is no floor towels so you can step out of The shower. ALL of This is dangerous because you are wet and can call and have a Head trauma.

the location is good close to the main touristic places. The personal is very friendly and the rooms are okay. The bar and the restaurant are fancy places to spend a good time and to have a good food. We have traveled as a group and the check-in / check out process were very rapid.
