The positive aspect about the hotel is that the rooms are spacious and the bed is really comfortable.
However, most of the rooms overlook the road so it's quite noisy and not ideal for resting. Besides, they are not equipped well enough.
On top of that, the breakfast is extremely disappointing, they bring you a box with industrial stuff, including powder milk, ordinary bread, etc. An airplane breakfast is way better, no kidding.
The service is not good either, I requested a toilet brush, since there was non in our toilet but we were never given one. We also asked if they could please pick up the breakfast cups and a few dirty dishes from our room and it never happened.
To sum up, I recommend avoiding this hotel, it's by no means a 4 stars hotel as stated and it's not worth the money
The bad: The small bathroom with a shower-bath combo. The bath was very narrow so it was difficult to get in and out of. But very manageable for a night or two.
The ugly: Nothing ugly about this place. But we did have a bad Uber driver experience when our 6 minute pick up turned into more than 30 minutes. So be Uber-wary.
Julietta & Awwa, if you are reading this – What a way to royally upset your customers. You provide us with a dirty, bug infested room, refuse to refund us for that night, then take back the compensation offer that *you* presented, and manage to insult us all at the same time.
Fellow travelers, please avoid this hotel. There are much cleaner and more affordable establishments elsewhere in Buenos Aires.
Reason 1: Hotel is very close to LIBERTADOR, the very large and main road in Buenos Aires and Lafinur is a busy cross street in the neighborhood. There seemed to be noise day and night at mostly from room on 6th floor.
Reason 2: The walls in this hotel are paper thin. It seemed that through the night I could hear everyone around me flushing the toilet, or closing doors, or having a conversation, or watching TV.
Reason 3: Large clanking noise off and on through the night in rooms on 9th and 8th floor. When I mentioned this to the management they told me there shouldn't be any noise because I was on the top floor of hotel. I think the clanking comes from the engine for the elevator or the elevator of the adjacent building, but no one looked into this for me so I left.
Other small problems that came up happen every once and awhile. The AC didn't work well for the first 2 days and the refrigerator (pretty nice kitchenettes) didn't work well the first day.
Overall, without the essentials of life on the road (good nights rest and good wifi) I was not going to try a 4th room. I found other hotels that were much more comfortable in Buenos Aires. If you are trying to stay in Palermo for the location you can try the neighborhood Palermo Soho or Palermo Hollywood.
However in 48 hours this is some of what I can tell you about:
* I asked for lunch a small change in the salad and the cook DENIED me to add the lettuce I asked for
* Later that night when we were coming back we asked in both rooms for late check out, they admitted it until 1300pm but kindly informed us that if we will check out later they would charge EXTRA price
* About 1000am I went out for two hours, however when I retuned (approximately 12:20) I opened my room and realized although the DO NOT DISTURB sign, my room was INVADED, my belongings were NOT in the room except for 2 shopping empty bags I had in the trash and a letter from the hotel for 2 bottles of water indicating a bill for 76 pesos. I called frightened to the front desk indicating that I was robbed and during that same call shockingly they stated they were in my room when I was out and cleared out my PERSONAL stuff without permission, I felt deeply disgusted by it.
To make a long story short, I finally got my stuff back as I claimed for it but the fact is that I went to Buenos Aires for good time and it was actually very upsetting !
The towels a the bathroom have long forgotten their days as such, they are rags.
The staff at the breakfast restaurant adopted the attitude of the front desk people , they ignore you, at best.
It's a shame that a hotel that offers a good location and nice amenities considers that those qualities compensate a service oriented attitude. I'm not going back!!
