Detailed Reviews
Located on a super busy street with lots of shops, restaurants, theatres etc all around you. Half the street becomes pedestrianised in the evenings! Its a bit like Buenos Aires version of time square/broadway. The best thing was how welcoming the staff were. They were the friendliest and most helpful that I encountered during my stay in Argentina! The Obelisco is just down the street and its about a 25 min walk to Casa Rosada. The air con in the hotel is fantastic and the wifi works well.

Centrally located, quiet though on a busy street, close to many of the attractions and main streets. the breakfast gets boring after several days, and seems to be the same even after 4 years:) great sweet melons and watermelons! the room was clean, though basic. great water pressure, slightly outdated fittings and lightswitches in the bathroom. good airconditioning that you can set yourself, house keeping for some reason is in the afternoon so if you want to rest after morning meetings put the Do not disturb sign. the wifi functions ok. we arrived early but got a room before 3pm, which was a blessing after long flights.

I have been to many Ibis hotels around the world. This has been the first time that wifi did not work in the room, and also a small fridge, available in all other Ibis, is not there. I have filed three compaints at the reception, but still wifi doesn't work

I’m a All Gold member and I’ve just checked in at the hotel Ibis Buenos Aires Obelisco. It was one of the worst check in experiences I’ve ever had.
The front desk person was impatient, answered in a rude way my questions and when I’ve asked if my stay was crediting points, he said that the hotel doesn’t account on All if it’s a corporate reservation. I’m a frequent traveler (stayed 54 nights in 2019) and just stayed in a Accor hotel last week in Brazil (Mercure São Paulo Pamplona) using the same reservation process and had no problem at all with it. He also refused to provide my welcome drink, and kept saying that I didn’t had the right of having it in a very rude manner. On the top of it, he has lied to me and other two work colleagues staying at the same hotel just to get rid of us, saying that the room had USB outlets while it didn’t.
I’m very disappointed with the experience I’ve had, and would like to have confirmation from my stay credits, my welcome drink issued and also an apology from the hotel staff. I’ll never stay on this hotel again. After travelling for long hours, I just wanted to have a good rest, and not being embarrassed by an unwelcoming front desk person.
Tried to send this message thru the contact form of the complaint session of Accor Hotels site, but it didn’t work. So, it’s better to publish it for everybody, so please chose another hotel. It’s not worthy to stay here, even more if you’re a frequent member.

We booked 2 rooms both were in very poor condition .Carpet , cushions , not very clean and torn. In one room , water in the bed during night due to water leak in the ceiling . Change of room ... In the mean time , staff , welcome , very good but a bad stay due to lack of maintenance.

Great price, location and staff. We were able to get into our room early. The rooms are clean and the same as any other Ibis. The bed is comfortable and Soap, Shampoo & Conditioner are provided.
The continental breakfast was absolutely perfect to get you started and the coffee is great. A huge thank you to the very kind gentleman on the reception who told us where to find somewhere to change money and spoke perfect English when my Spanish was only at beginners level. We are staying here again after our cruise and for the service, price bracket and location you will be hard pushed to beat it. Thank you to all the staff at Ibis Obelisco.

Hotel location is top notch. Pizzeria Guerrin is next door. Lots of nice cafe and eatery choices in less than 100 metres. Major intersection and square is 2 minutes walk.
Now about the hotel, staff is very helpful. Breakfast is good. Nice choice. Rooms are small. Hardly any space to put large luggage. No fridge in the room. Also charging plugs are limited to one. Very basic room if you are looking for normal options. I would recommend Novotel next door. We stayed their too. And like that one better.

Today at 11:45 am, I went to pick up a passenger coming from India whose name is Prakash Mahojan and who checked in at the “IBIS” Obelisco Hotel this morning. The hotel employee, "Natalia Rios," informed me that the passenger was not responding to her calls. When I asked her which room the passenger was staying in, she told me it was room "306." I waited for 50 minutes, assuming that our visitor might be out of the hotel. Since the passenger did not arrive, I inquired again if the passenger with the name Prakash Mahojan had indeed checked in. Miss Natalia Rios informed me that she had made a mistake and that the passenger had not entered the hotel.
Forty minutes later, a colleague of mine went to the hotel to inquire about the passenger, and Miss Natalia Rios reported that passenger Prakash MMahojan was indeed staying at the hotel, and his room was number 306. When I confronted her about the poor service, she insulted me. I want to record this incident, and I'm sure the hotel's security cameras will confirm the situation.

The hotel is located in a busy street of Buenos Aires, so expect to hear some noise during working hours. Besides, the night we arrived there was a group of youngsters singing and speaking loud at the lobby. Breakfast was very simple and with the same options everyday. The room was clean and comfortable but not spacious. The bathroom had a bidet and no douche shower near the toilet. I understand this is a cultural thing in Argentina but come on.

I stayed here 4 different times during the month of January.
Everyone at the front desk were super kind, professional and friendly.
The rooms were big, super clean, comfortable and quiet.
The location was great, a couple blocks from obelisk and colon theater.
Super safe at night and a lot of restaurants and bars literally next door.
I would totally recommend this hotel.

Meu filho já é adolescente, logo não precusei deste serviço. Não sei informar, mas creio que não.
Yes there was a hair dryer provided in our room
Hello! Yes, they can call a "Radio Taxi" for you, just make sure to let them know the night before. At that time should be around a 20 minute ride from the hotel to AEP. Have a nice trip!
