We have spent four days a family of four in one of the bungalow cabins. They are as they appear in the pictures and are fine, have everything you need, comfortable beds, the right kitchen and bathroom small but in good condition. Very friendly people and even brought us things for breakfast every morning as a detail. Outdoor swimming pool, another deck, pool room, a lake with four small boats and a perfect location, next to Zambujeira. A good place to rest from the worldly noise visit the nearby beaches (Zambujeira, Carvalhal and Alteirinhos are next door) or make an excursion to Almograve.

I've been in this fantastic place with my wife and a friend. This place is fantastic to relax, people are very friendly and you really feel you're at home. The place is located 2km from Zambujeira and have fantastic conditions to relax from day by day. You can do free bicycle rides, see animals (pigs, horses, cows and others), there are 2 swimming pools (one interior), jacuzy, snooker, bar and a massive lake where you have "boats" to ride to. The breakfast is included and it's very good since you've fresh warm bread, fresh fruit from the farm and fantastic natural orange juice. This is really a fantastic place to return.

This place is wonderful!!! People are very nice, breakfast is fantastic (with products from the farm, and wonderful Alentejano bread). The outdoor pool is a little small, but you have also an indoor poll, and a Jacuzzi. Nice lake to use boats, and bicycles you can use for free. Snooker is also for free. Has some small wooden houses ideal for families. Want to comeback as soon as possible.

After travelling for a couple of weeks in Portugal we thought we should mix up our accommodations a bit. With the excellent ratings of this Herdade we thought it would be a good choice for something a bit different. It was not. It's not 'rustic', it's crude. The rooms are so small there is no room for a computer desk or even a chair! The world's smallest corner shower stall has sliding doors that i'm certain several of the guests would not have been able to enter. The 'lake' is a shallow pond but since there are no steps or ladder to enter or get out of the lake, we can't say how the swimming was. The pool was very small and with many lounges with torn covers crowded around it so that is not appealing. And no coffee available until 9 a.m. Even our own photos make this Herdade look like a paradise but it is not. Even the kids there looked bored out of their minds, thank heavens for hand held devices because that's what they were doing. If you see my other reviews you'll realize that i always look for the best and the charming, but it's difficult to find here.

Our grandchildren loved this experience and labelled it 'awesome'! They pedalled around the lake, swam in both the indoor and outdoor pools, played snooker and spent hours looking at the the all animals and especially the newborn kittens! They loved the bungalows and took turns sleeping on the top bunkbed! The accommodation was comfortable and great for families. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. Thank you so mu.ch D Gloria and Daniel for all your assistance. Hopefully we will be back soon.

In the Middle of Alentejo, a nice, cosy and relaxing farm for a "siesta"of one ore more night. The dogs of the farm welcome you immediately, and right after you're in the calm atmosphere of this region. From the initial greeting and tour by the charming Daniel we knew this was someplace special.
Sitting by the lake as we wound down from a long day of biking, we were befriended by several of the resident cats who roam the huge working farm that houses the inn and cottages that are available on the property. There are indoor and outdoor pools , a huge common living room with pool table and stocked bar.
Our room came with a huge bowl of fresh picked raspberries and strawberries on which we munched all evening.
Best of all was the included breakfast, which largely came from the premises. Amazing orange juice squeezed from the fruit in the beautiful grove just yards away. Fresh eggs, bacon, wonderful Portugese breads.
If you are traveling in the Algarve - don't miss this place.

Amazing place to relax. Its a farm and you have a lot of animal species to see and interact with. Free bicycles to ride along the farm, a big lake were you can go on pedal swans for free. Fantastic outdoor swimming pool and also an indoor pool. The rooms are very nice and quiet. Very good for families with teenagers or yongers. The breakfast is excellent.

The herdade/homestead is in a great location, close enough to many beaches but far enough away that you are in a peaceful area that allows you to relax and truly enjoy your holiday. The on-site facilities are more than enough to keep you occupied including both indoor and outdoor pools,jacuzzi , lake with pedalos and a bar/lounge area with very good pool table. Outside there is a animal petting area and bikes you can ride round the ample grounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bungalow we stayed in was very clean daily and very suitable to our needs with separate room with bunk beds for children.
To make the most of your holiday you need to have a hire car and a sat nav, there are beautiful areas with excellent blue flag beaches and places to visit including Zambujeira and Odeceixe.
