It's cozy, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, has a great breakfast, and has wonderful people. We felt at home; that's how great the owners are.
Whenever we feel like we need to recharge, this is the place I think of. Lovely.
The house and the rooms are very clean and in a very good condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
There is a patio, which is surrounded by the rooms and you can have your breakfast there, which is included in the price – very nice!!!! Watch out for the turtles
WiFi is provided and works mostly free of problems.
The rooms provides sufficient space, the beds are ok, its clean and got a nice atmosphere. In the rooms you’ll find a small fridge enough for some drinks and some snacks.
We have been there in September 2012 the first time and hope it won’t be the last time.
This really wouldn't bother if the room was spacious and when there was a proper breakfast served. Instead, the room was tiny and the breakfast was the poorest we had on a three week trip in Portugal, served in the room the night before, all wrapped in plastic and with instant coffee! We were wondering how the bar one block away survived but it is probably from the guest from this B&B (well, forget about the second B).
Now this village is nothing about nightlife, clubbing, beach partys etc., it's about relaxing in an unspoilt environment: surrounded by national parks, nestled atop the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, offers cosy little beaches and endless walking/biking trails.
Now the house lies in the second row looking from the coast. The area is completely quiet save for the roar of the ocean. There are a couple rooms both in the ground and in the 1st floor; the former include tables on the patio, the latter have a shared terrace around the inner yard. The rooms are simply but beautifully decorated, cleaned daily and fresh bread is provided for breakfast in the morning; the rest is stored in a room fridge for the next morning during every cleaning. Amenities also include a selection of teas and free wifi. Now, it's not a high-end hotel of course but an excellent spot for all who seek to relax and unwind in a homely atmosphere :)
The breakfast was fantastic (freshly baked bread rolls, cheese, ham, yogurt, juice... really a lot to keep you going the whole section on Rota Vicentina whichever direction you're heading)!!
I wish I've made a break and stayed one day longer (the beach - Praia de Nossa Senhora - is one of the best along the trail).
"We had a ground floor room on the beach side, didn't find it noisy while we were there."Read full review
