Detailed Reviews
We stayed 4 nights at Monte Soalheiro with our 2 year old boys. Everything was very good: the room was very clean, high quality beds and linens like a five star hotel, welcoming was wonderful, the breakfast served was various with fresh fruits everyday and the food was excellent with tea/coffee and house made cakes offered in the afternoon. We will come back.

This is the ideal place to take some time off the hectic city life! We loved the owners and staff! Veery good breakfast, clean rooms and super comfortable beds! We will be back very soon!
Ps. In the evening sit by the pool and relax observing the sky! Just amazing.... And the home-made cookies... Ooohhh...
Ps. Im writing in English so that all future guests around the world know how great this place is!

We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful B&B a lot.
The best things about it for us are the quiet location (it means however you have to drive a little to see, eat something, but we don't mind at all), the spacious room with a big terrace (upstairs), the tasty breakfast with fresh products, the (rather chilly) swimmingpool, the possibility to have drink (the mini fridge in the room doesn't work really well), the helpful staff, ... actually everything.
The only minor for us was the price. Compared to other lovely places we stayed in Portugal they charge a lot. So quality is top, but the price a little less.

We booked for a couple of nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were delighted to be welcomed by rose petals, champagne and cheesecake by Teresa our host. Quiet, pleasant rolling countryside near stunning beaches. We loved exploring Odemira and recommend the super restaurant in the Jardim Fonte Ferrea.

We stayed 9 nights here for a holiday exploring the southern end of Portugal. The guesthouse is ideally located for most of the main towns around the area so any day trip is possible. Car rental is a must in this area and there is plenty of space to park cars at the guesthouse. The property itself is located a few hundred meters down a dirt track so it is in a very nicely secluded area amongst farmland with views over the hills.
The staff really were excellent, providing useful information on where to go and what to see, but the highlight was the food. The breakfast was great and always had loads of fresh fruit and coffee on offer. You can also ask to eat at the property for a very reasonable price of about 30 or 35 Euros for a meal for two and we went for this option a couple of times, each being the best food we had in our time in Portugal. It was proper home-cooked food, very filling, very satisfying and made with local produce and the owners make a real effort to host you. They also stock a variety of local wines to have with your meal or just on its own by the pool.
The rooms are very comfortable and always clean. Each one seemed to have its own unique design or theme and They are situated in a square around the pool area. There are only a handful of rooms, about 5 or 6 in total, so it was always very quiet.
Considering the rural location the wifi was always good.
Definitely recommended if you are looking for a base from which to explore this part of Portugal.

Everything is perfect here, the hosts and employees are extremely nice and helpful, the rooms are big, comfortable and clean, and if you decide to eat in the hotel with the owners you will experience an excellent home made meal, luckily with wild boar hunted by the owner!
I passed my New Year's Eve there, together with the owners, their family and another couple with a small daughter and it felt great, cosy, just like home!

My husband and I stayed here on the night of my 30th birthday and the team went well beyond the norm to make it a very special, memorable experience. Not only was I treated to a delicious birthday cake and bubbles, but we had a wonderful meal prepared with much love, care and class. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and we felt right at home. Do not miss the opportunity to stay and be pampered here.
Just want to thank everyone (big and small!) at Monte Soalheiro for making my birthday and our stay extra special!

Great stay in the country side.
We stayed three nights in a superior room with private balcony. Beautifull views of the hills and the canal. We felt very welcome. Nice people and great hospitality.
We think its compared to other more luxury places we stayed for simular prices a bit overpriced. But we loved it!

The lovely owners are very friendly and go all the way to make you feel confortable. The view over the green valley is breathtaking. The smell of eucalyptus trees and flowers combined with the sound of birds and frogs makes you feel in full nature.
