This well kept secret is situated in the “Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano”, land of gentile rolling prairies bathed by the blue sea and unruly beaches. It is this protected Natural habitat that now welcomes “Casas da Lupa”. The purity of the local architecture on the outside combined with the modern construction and comforts on the inside create a welcome surprise to all those that visit us.

Detailed Reviews
Had a great stay in Casas da Lupa - I’ve been there before a few years ago and glad to know it still has the same sprit and feel - even during pandemic state, it’s very cosy and you don’t want to leave.
The breakfast is great has they will make you whatever you want and more (feels like grandmothers house :)).
This April was not the best sunny days but still able to enjoy the little private pool on the master suite.
Conceição was a great host and made us feel like home.
Totally recommended for a long weekend getaway or even a week off.
You have easy and close access to several beach’s but bear in mind you will need a car.

Had a wonderful stay where Maria does ... does everything that you could wish for. And if you want to find out about why Love does, then check out the book in the book shelf Love Does by Bob Goff. ... and don't get put off by a few blemishes to the cover. The dog loved it too! :-) enjoy

A beautiful place, but very stressy owner. From the second we arrived, the owner was so stressed. Rambling and mumbling anxiously about anything, from the iron in the rainwater to the dogs, to money, forms etc. While we paid a lot of money to stay in a master room. It was very clear she didn't like us from the beginning, it felt like she always watched us with hawk eyes. We even caught her checking our 5 euro notes if they we're legit! It made the atmosphere grim and not tranquil at all, what the place is suppose to be.
We put a sign on the door, to not be disturbed, the workers came in regardless. There was no cutlery or china in the room. I guess to stimulate for the guests not to have food in the room themselves, but to order with her an overpriced home cooked meal. The coffee that was included in the breakfast was so bad that you are very tempted to order a nespresso coffee, of course also for an extra cost.
It is a shame, cause the area surrounding casas de lupa is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable, but not worth the price at all.
The only decent thing that happened, is that the owner called us to say, that even though children under 12 are not allowed, 'by accident' a couple with a baby was staying there anyway. But that was before she saw us. Though we look young, drive in a van and one of us has tattoos, the owner should learn not to judge a book by its cover. Cause we have money to spend, but we didn't do that there. Instead we left early because of the atmosphere.

Great place. Nice room, decorated with good taste, with an eye for details. Very good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff (owner/host Conseicao is very good: always available, personal, making you feel very welcome). Close enough to the beaches. It is relatively new (3 years), so the grounds will be even greener and nicer the years to come.

A beautiful place where you are greeted full-heartedly. Great ocean view- beautiful clean modern and country-like style. Finally a place where you and your pet feel welcome a 100% with style and charm. I couldn't have imagined a better place where I can satisfy my mother and my dogs needs all at once. Thank you!!!!

Room Tip: We took a master suite which was only a few euros more - it offered a lot of space and privacy.

If you want to experience Portuguese hospitality at its best in a beautiful, rural location in the Algarves, then Casas da Lupa is for you.
Right from the moment of booking, Maria (our lovely hostess) was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. After a short 'check-in', a complimentary Apéro, and a tour of the lovely estate, Maria asked us if we wanted to enjoy the sunset outdoors with a glass of red wine. Without hesitation, she provided us wine, snacks, and blankets, and allowed us to stroll through the eucalyptus forrest until the sun set.
Then, after realizing that it was already too late to go to town to dinner, Maria spontaneously decided to cook us dinner from scratch. Eventhough she already had cleaned the kitchen, she spent nearly 30 min cooking a lovely pastry-dish from scratch, whilst we enjoyed another glass of lovely red wine in her beautiful living room (which served as a communal area).
I honestly can say that I have never seen such personal, caring hospitality. Casas da Lupa is a must stay for any romantically inclined couple, looking for a restful time out.
Our only regret: we only spent one night. But, we will be back for more, that is for sure!
I can only highly recommend Casas da Lupa!

Very relaxing stay. The suite was lovely and quiet. Great bed and linen. Lot's of clever details.
Delicious breakfast.
The location is great, close to many lovely beaches, restaurants and villages yet far from it all.
This is not a bling bling place, great taste and understated and the idea is privacy, peace and quiet for couples. It is not a family place so you can lie and read by the pool in blissful silence.

Once again our stay was as expected: very calm, relaxed and great to recover from all the accumulated stress. Strongly recommend. Good breakfast, great rooms and very welcoming owners close to some amazing beaches and great restaurants.

This place has a lot of potential but hasn't quite got there yet. The place is very quiet so you can relax. Our room was large and minimalist but comfortable at the same time. A few things like some wine glasses, a couple of plates and knives and forks in the room would be nice so you can just relax in your own area. A toilet roll holder wouldn't go amiss either. The owner was friendly but we found 9.30 for breakfast a bit late for us when we wanted to go to the beach. The food was fine but not explained that well, we didn't know that there was a cooked option until after our first breakfast. The juice options were plenty but the fruit was only a very small selection and we didn't care for the quality of the coffee. The grounds could do with some weeding to clean them up and some of the paint work was flaking off which in such a new place disappointing. The pool looked nice but a bit cool at this time of the year. The bed was very firm but this seems to be the norm in Portugal. Overall a pleasant stay but you need a car to get around.
