Detailed Reviews
Craveiral has everything you need to relax and enjoy a break with your family - great design, great ambiance, great food and amazing staff! You cannot imagine how many stars we saw in the sky... an outdoor fireplace is the perfect place to gather after dinner with a glass of wine. And during the day you can lay in the sun by the pool while the kids enjoy themselves in the indoor pool! We stayed is a house with 2 rooms, that includes a kitchen with a jar full of cookies and a fruit basket, an outdoor area and a fireplace.

Craveiral was an incredible experience and a pleasant surprise for our family. We stayed two nights, we went with our 3 children (12 and 8 years old, and the 9 month old baby). We traveled by train, which in itself was a different experience as the children had never been on a train journey. We were welcomed at the station by a very friendly Craveiral employee who picked us up in a local electric van. As soon as we arrived, they showed us the activities for children, the yoga class schedules for adults, and showed us the garden from where we harvested the vegetables for our lunch and the baby's soup. There is no fresher food, from the earth directly to the pan. The kids spent hours in the pool, played ping pong, rode their bikes, saw the animals, in short…they created memories for life! The house is cute, well equipped and when we missed something like the magic wand for the soup, or the colander for the pasta, they immediately came to deliver us to the house. They even provided diapers and wipes for us when we were in trouble with the baby. Excellent service!! All the workers are extremely friendly. As for the restaurant, the menu has 70% of the food made with ingredients from the garden, the breakfast is phenomenal. The only thing I have to point out is that the lunch and dinner portions are not large at all (in my opinion, a bit overpriced for the portions they present), and there was one night when table service was quite slow. But Craveiral's charms overcame any flaws and we really wanted to return soon. These were days that will remain in our memory.

I had been willing to come to Craveiral and, this weekend, it finally happened. And I loved it. I loved everything! It felt like home. The decoration and furniture by Portuguese brands, the Unii brand zero waste amenity, the engraved towels, the smell of the bedspread and sheets, the well-equipped kitchen, the fruit and cookies waiting for us... everything makes me love Craveiral a little more. But as if that wasn't enough, there is also the fact that they compost and treat their own waters, the fact that they don't use imported fruits / vegetables by sea / air, and the super friendly and helpful staff; without forgetting the incredible space, the vegetable garden full of goods that can be harvested by the guests and the fact that they have animals (donkeys, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens) raised just for company. There are also bikes everywhere that we can ride whenever we want. It remains for me to say that I became a fan, that I loved it and that I highly recommend it.

We were really disappointed with our first impressions of the hotel. We had saved for ages to be able to afford to take our 2 children.
The air con in our room didn’t work and we were made to feel like we were asking the world to be moved. No apology, no offer of helping us move. In 30+ weather, in a room that cost £300 and with 2 young kids, working air conditioning shouldn’t be an unreasonable ask. We also had to compromise with a different type of room, again without any apology.
There are some good things about the hotel. It’s beautiful, and the rooms are nice. The farm side of things is also great.
The food is ok, but certainly not aligned with the price tag.
The pools are nice. The gym is poor.
It does feel like the hotel has lost sight of the basic elements of hospitality.
It could be a great place, but for the price we paid and the experience we had, sadly we were left feeling we made the wrong decision to stay and left pretty disappointed.

Craveiral is more than a hotel or rural tourism, it is a project based on the cornerstone of our future world, sustainability, in addition to being a maximum self-sustainable project, it has impeccable service, the staff is fantastic, the studio where I stayed it had all the conditions, staying in the center of Carnations, with an outdoor pool, heated indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, gym, everything in excellent conditions, the food is excellent, and without a doubt they have the best pizza I ate in Portugal, made with the best ingredients and divine desserts, the red fruit pannacotta and the rice pudding ice cream were just one thing...it's in a quiet area but close to the nearest town and in addition we can cook in our own home using ingredients from our own farm , fruit and vegetables. Fantastic yoga studio and the farm animals are awesome, a dream for a couple who wants to bring their children. Adequate quality/price ratio for everything they offer in the space, in addition to having free and paid transfers and activities depending on your preference. We can also cycle freely on the walkway around the development. I recommend visiting and I will be back as soon as possible!!

We had a great 3 days at Craveiral which is about an hour and half drive from the central Algarve. The apartment units are spacious and the wood fired ovens create some great food in a semi covered outside setting. There is a large outdoor and indoor pool and the place has a lovely relaxed vibe with some great staff including Pedro. It's also close to some amazing beaches ( we went to Odeceixe which is fab ).
Well worth a detour from the more crowded Algarve.

The welcome was really friendly and welcoming. The staff explained us everything and showed us the facilities and the sourrounding. Because of COVID we ordered our daily breakfast. The choice was really big, from normal breakfast to vegetarian and vegan breakfast. It was also no problem to change some things. The pool is pretty big and the paths with wood connect the small apartments with the main area. The indoor jacuzzi and pool are good, especially when the weather is bad. The gym is a little bit too small for all the things that are standing around...
Apartment: The Apartments are very well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need, you have the possibility to make fire, and the bathroom is very spacious. The pictures and all the equipment is local produced as far as possible.nThe only thing that is missing is a net on the windows (especially in the bedroom) against the mosquitos. There are plenty of them and it is not possible to sleep with an open window.
Breakfast: The breakfast was really good. The products are all local and a high quality. We really enjoyed it. The delivery service is very time intense for the staff. They have to run a lot and they are doing their best. If something was missing, you got it without problems.
Surrounding: The place is really cute and made with caution of the nature. That is great. The animals they have are very nice to observe, not only for the children. For them they have a lot of vehicles to drive. You can go there for a walk. To go to Sao Téotonio or the beaches you need a car. The beaches are not so close, but good to reach with the car. The nature there is very nice and there are some hiking-ways.
We really enjoyed our stay there and I think we will come back. :-)

Excellent hotel, with a beautiful white architecture, mix of tradition and modernism.
The service was attentive to the asks of our family, and the place disposed of nice equipment with the pool and the bikes for everybody. The food was delicious.

We spent two nights at Craveiral and it was great! Everything was very well taken care off, super friendly staff and the food was really good as well. The farmhouse is comprised by several houses available for guests and there's the main house with the restaurant, interior swimming pool and sauna. Even though this place is perfect for families we had a great time ourselves and enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of the place. The house was very well equipped and the bed and bedlinen were amazing! Super comfortable. It's definitely an experience that I would recommend to anyone - watching the sunset, picking up your own veggies from their vegetable garden. All in all a GREAT stay!

The best hotel experience I've ever had, honestly.
I stayed in Craveiral 3 times during this year, and it was an incredible experience every time. Feel close to nature but with all the necessary facilities to live a comfortable life: well-designed apartments, cork bath, smeg kitchen appliances to cook a dinner for your family.
There is a restaurant in the hotel with delicious food that is based on farm products both from the hotel's farm and local producers.
Moreover, the hotel is located 20 min from the ocean and you can reach amazing beaches to jump into the ocean or watch a sunset.
The team of the hotel is incredibly pleasant and happy to help you with any issue. They even bring the bed for my dog!
To sum up: it's my favourite place in Portugal.
