We had a lovely stay here, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The main house architecture is stunning and the gardens and roses beautiful. Great value for money. The rooms could do with a refurbishment as the interior carpets are old fashioned as are the bed throw and scatter cushions on bed. The actual bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.

Please do let us know by email which room you stayed in, so that we can look at the soft furnishings of the room. The carpets are öld fashioned" but wear beautifully with the constant mullberry stains from our mullberry tree, light colored capets, although fashionable, are not sericable in this industry. With pleasant and well kept gardens this is an ideal place to chill out. The room was spacious and well equipped with even a mini kitchen hidden away in a cupboard. With load shedding an every day occurrence it was great to find that lighting and the internet was always available. The staff were friendly and efficient and Cleo the chef produced an absolutely stunning evening meal. We would have no hesitation in returning.

Wonderful welcome and great hospitality. Great location a short drive into Capetown and Chapmans Peak. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean thanks to the hard work of the team. All the staff were polite and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent and set evening meals were delicious. Beef and fish dishes were eaten and they were all beautifully presented. We will certainly return when we are next in Cape Town. Several great vineyards in the area and some very good eateries nearby. Our experience was excellent.

Great calm spot to stay when visiting Cape Town. A short Uber ride to all the sights. calm service and welcoming staff and property ideal for relaxing! Great food and wine! Robyn is a perfect host and Wendy runs the place so it works really well.

Lovely boutique hotel in a very pretty part of Constantia. Flowers and greenery everywhere and the hotel and gardens are very cute. There is a nice pool and sitting area. The staff at the hotel and warm, friendly and welcoming and did their best to ensure we had a great stay. Breakfast is wonderful and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal.

Lovely address, but the venue is visibly decaying. Lack of on-site generator or sufficient backup power not acceptable under current circumstances, especilly for a 5 star premium resort. Lovely, warm staff but owners were completely absent.

Its a great pity that the Country seems to be visably decaying, not Glen Avon Lodge, the maintenace on the property ahs never been what it is at present, its also a pity that you found me completely absent, I was in the kitchen cooking your breakfast some mornings during your stay. The lack of a generator is due to our Green emmissions, and we take pride in our Green certificaiton, and that we have solar energy, and battery back up for lights and wifi. The use of a huge generator, would emitt huge pollution, and definately be a discturbance to the guests when running during load shedding at night, and during the peaceful days. My partner and I spent 4 nights at Glen Avon - it was great! Wendy and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms spacious, and the food is excellent - both breakfast and dinner. Glen Avon is perfectly situated to explore Cape Town - particularly the Constantia wineries and restaurants, and Table Mountain National Park. I would highly recommend!

excellent breakfast, lots of choice, very pleasant to be able to have breakfast on the patio with a view of the weel-kept garden; the staff were very considerate and helpful (especially Beauty and Mallie), the rooms were spacious and well-appointed; we had rooms with a verandah and garden view; the beds were large and comfortable; the location was excellent and very close to High Constantia vineyards, and also and excellent starting point for excursions in the wider Capetown region; a bit of traffic noise during rush hours, but otherwise quiet and peaceful.

We booked in on Sunday afternoon and had friendly and efficient welcome by Mali at reception. The suite is very spacious and clean with a small kitchen inside a cupboard for coffee and tea and a microwave for heating food.The bathroom look modern and stylish, big bath a shower toilet and his and her basins. There is a TV with Netflix available for entertainment. We have dined in on Sunday evening in the restaurant and the food and service were great. The breakfast in the mornings is up to standard for a place like Glen Avon. All in all a pleasurable experience and will visit again. The only thing that I surely think can be upgraded is the size of the TV Screen.
