Detailed Reviews
My husband and I had occasion to visit Capetown, South Africa. We stayed at the Beluga guest house. Peter was a wonderful host. Being a local resident for years, he had many tips on great restaurants and tourist options for us. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Hair blowers, tea, coffee, fans etc. All available for our use.
Breakfast was terrific. An assortment of yogurts, fruits, mixed meats, hard boiled eggs, croissants and breads were available every day. Delicious.
The grounds and pool area are gorgeous. Meticulously maintained. Beautiful place, reasonably priced. Enjoyed our stay.
Thank you Peter.

We stayed 4 nights end of March in Beluga of Constantia and after our tour through the Western and Eastern Cape we stayed another night beginning of April before flying home to Amsterdam. The Beluga of Constantia is situated in a beautiful suburb of Cape Town close to many excellent restaurants, vineyards and the Constantia shopping mall. It is also an ideal starting point to explore Cape Town and its surroundings. The new onwers of Beluga of Constantia, a british familiy who recently moved to South Africa, will do their utmost to make your stay as pleasent as possible. The rooms are big and are very nice decorated. The house has a very big garden with a nice swimming pool. The breakfast is the best we had during our holiday in South Africa. The Beluga of Constantia is also a very child friendly guesthouse to stay (cribs and toys are available and even a toddlerbreakfast), our 2 year old daughter had an excellent time playing in the garden and pool. When we return to South Africa this will be our choice to stay in Cape Town!

This guest house is a hidden gem. Such great value for money in beautiful constantia. Easy access from here to all the day trips to wineries, beaches and waterfront. But with a private oasis to return to after a day of sightseeing. Great pool, beautiful relaxation areas and clean but cosy rooms full of country charm. We couldn't recommend this place more highly.

We stayed at the Beluga for 3 nights and the one photo on here doesn't do it any justice at all. Daphne really was a lovely lady and she has made the garden so beautiful that it was a pure pleasure to sit and eat breakfast on the terrace every morning. We felt completely looked after like a home from home from the moment we arrived, but able to come and go as we liked. The room was beautiful, the shower was amazing and Princess was such a smiler! We would definitely choose to go back to the Beluga should we ever visit Constania again (hopefully we will!) and well done to Daphne for all your obviously hard work making this a really wonderful place to stay.

This guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay in the Cape Town area. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with private entrances and baths. We loved the large shower in our room.
John and Una the new owners are wonderful hosts. They made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious with fresh fruit and whatever else we wanted. Some days we chose the English breakfast and once the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.
The location is very convenient to everywhere and it beats the rat race of down town Cape Town.
We would return happily.

Our stay was very enjoyable, the rooms well located and well equipped. The bed is huge!!!. The location is great, breakfast is very good, the swimming pool very warm and Peter is an excellent, welcoming host.
My only recommendation for improvement would be to put a blind on the door between the bathroom and the bedroom as the frosted glass doesn't quite provide the correct amount of privacy.
WIFI is very quick.
We definitely plan to return to Beluga when we come back to Western Cape.

My wife and I booked in at Beluga for a few nights in February this year when we attended a wedding in the Cape. If you have read any other reviews I have done in the past few years, you will know that I love my creature comforts, in particular bed, shower, and the breakfast. The helpfulness of staff is always commented on when there is a problem or the service exceptional. Well, this report is more of the same. The enormous bed with crisp white sheets beckoned after a quick satisfying shower. The large shower allowed my wife and I to conserve water by showering together. (The Cape is in the grips of a very serious drought, I believe the worst on record).
The breakfast was simple and consisted of cheeses, cold meats, fruits, yogurt, cereals, and tea and coffee. Although my self help portion was small, I never felt underfeed.
The staff we interacted with and the owner are the same person. Peter always made us feel comfortable and nothing was too much hassle for him. We will definitely book in again at the Beluga the next time we travel to Cape Town, for another good value for money, pleasant, and extremely comfortable stay.

This was a really homely guest house. The room was comfortable, the garden attractive and the pool welcome. The chameleon an added attraction, which we were lucky to see. Having a separate water supply was handy in the drought. It is close to Kirstenbosch gardens, so we parked the car there and took the tourist bus into Cape Town, seeing the sights and saving the drive into the city. Peter was so helpful, advising me of a nearby Avis dealer do I didn't have to take the car to downtown Jo'burg. He readily came with his car and brought me back to the B&B. Next morning he arranged the cab into town. Thanks, Peter. T&J.

Wonderful welcome and great hosts. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly fresh and clean with a king sized bed. The gardens are tranquil and the two dogs are homely. Highly recommended 👍👍😊

We took the two 'garden' rooms at Rick and James's fantastic oasis of calm. From the tranquil bedrooms to the lush and verdant gardens Beluga was synonymous with the beauty of Constantia. Rick literally could not have done more to make us feel more welcome and I would highly recommend Beluga for the breakfasts alone!
