Loved every moment we spent at Steenberg. This was a 5* experience from the moment we arrived until we left. The staff, the accomodation and the grounds are all wonderful. My wife had the most amazing massage at the spa. The wine tasting venue is beautiful and relaxed and the estates wines worth a swig or two. Would love to visit again in our next trip to Diuth Africa. To wrap up the experience have dinner at Trynn, one of the estates restaurants.

Wow what an amazing place to stay. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the hotel is beautiful. We had the pleasure of staying here for 5 nights before we flew to Mauritius and I truly wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were absolutely first class on everything, so polite attentive and nothing was too much trouble , they are all ambassadors for Steenburg and they made our stay so perfect - thank you.

We loved our stay at the Steenberg. The room was spacious and comfy, the bathroom was awesome. I was so impressed with the staff, they all were so helpful and so welcoming and smiling. The food was also great at both restaurant.

Fabulous hotel, wine, restaurant, spa and golf resort for our 9 day stay. Set in very safe and secure surroundings, with superb Mountain vistas, outskirts of Constantia. Two fantastic on site restaurants very busy with locals. Hotel rooms lovely and staff extremely attentive. Service excellent. Great base for all the sights Cape Town has to offer. Loads of excellent quality off site restaurants a short distance away. Will definitely return.

Stayed at Steenberg for 4 nights in Feb 2023 and we will be back, it was wonderful. The hotel and spa is located within 30 minutes of Cape Town but once we arrived we didn't want to leave the expansive site. Surrounded by vineyards and with a top-class spa and 2 excellent restaurants onsite we had no reason to go anywhere else. Service throughout the estate was perfect, all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And the adjoining golf club was a 5-minute stroll away. The onsite wine tasting is not to be missed. A perfect location for a break.

A great stay in this beautiful property. The room (no14) was superb and the whole estate looks immaculate and is very safe. One small moan is the pool trees need cutting back but apart from that we had great food at the bistro,lovely staff everywhere and a great golf course. (Shaun the best ever caddy) A perfect spot for a few days r and r we only had two nights and wish it was more.

We have stayed at Steenberg several times over the past 10 years, usually to ensure a great finish to our Cape Town trips. This year we have spent a week, as we wanted to play golf as well. The whole experience has been excellent as always. The welcome was warm, everyone friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. This is a tranquil hotel and really not suitable for children. We ate frequently at the restaurant, the bistro, and the golf club. All were excellent ! The hotel recommended Blanco restaurant at a nearby hotel as an alternative, fee shuttle, and we enjoyed our lunch there. Noticeable that our hotel’s restaurants were more competitively priced then when we went out. We had not played golf previously, so were delighted with the course and facilities. The pro shop offers a good range of ladies clothing, which was very welcome. In fact, it was noticeable that there were at least as many ladies playing on the course as men ! Make sure you book your tee times well in advance, as it’s very popular. It’s a long course, so a buggy is a good idea, ensure it’s booked in advance as well, as they run out. Overall, another great Steenberg stay. Highly recommended.…

Gorgeous hotel. Avoid the restaurant if there is a party, though, they cannot cope then. But the grounds and service are otherwise stunning. The suites are amazing, probably among the best in Cape Town. The estate is safe and secure, central to everything yet feels like you’re deep in the countryside.

We had the pleasure of staying at Steenberg for 5 night in December. We found the staff to be amazing both while at the hotel and thru the booking process. We can’t say enough about the receptionists and our shuttle drivers especially Manny, they went our of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. The rooms were very nice and well appointed. The food was good but would have liked the menu to vary from day to day. The golf course was splendid and the caddy incredible. On the down side they have a beautiful pool area but the water is freezing. A heater is in order. The wine tasting was very impersonal and we did not get much our of it. All in all a great place to stay and relax.

This is a fabulous hotel, every member of the staff are friendly, you’re made to feel like the only people staying. The attention to detail in the rooms, which are very well equipped is excellent. You have a choice of restaurants Bistro Sixteen 82 and Tryns, both offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with outdoor and indoor seating. We tried both for breakfast and evening, we were lucky with the weather so sat outside and would recommend both restaurants. The in-room breakfast was good and spot on time, the granola is something special! There's a great golf course, which you need to book as gets busy, but you can use range balls ahead of your game, there’s caddies, which are optional and golf carts. They rental clubs looked good, although we had our own. We had a great Wine tasting, which is complimentary as part of your stay, and Steenberg do some good wines, so worth a visit. There is a spa but we didn’t use these facilities. The hotel shuttle offers options to local restaurants (within 5k I think) and also a complimentary shuttle to the V&A at 10am with a pick up at 3:30… so a good amount of time to enjoy the V&A, worked perfectly for us (you need to book though). If you want to go slightly further than the local area, they have very reliable drivers in nice vehicles, that they can arrange for you, including airport pick ups, which we made use of, but of course that’s chargeable.…
