We spent 3 nights here and it completely blew our expectations. The staff supporting Rhino post were incredibly friendly and highly knowledgeable about the Kruger, the service was second to none. Every aspect of our stay was fantastic, from the gorgeous lodges themselves to the food at breakfast, high tea, and dinner to drinks later on in the evening gazing at the stars. Special mention to our guide James who drove us on the safari both morning and afternoon for making our trip special. James's passion and enthusiasm for the Kruger and its wildlife made our trip! We can't wait to come back and experience more magical moments in the Kruger - thank you all at Rhino Post! If you are looking for a bucket list safari trip, this is the place!
We spent 4 days at Rhino Post Safari Lodge in January 2023. The best part of the visit were the game drives. We saw all the big 5, in addition to many other animals and birds. The food was great, service was excellent. It was a bit difficult to rest in the afternoons because of the heat in the room, but the rooms were clean and well maintained.
Utterly compelling experience! Really thrilled and delighted. We were hosted by Andrew, a knowledgeable and trusted ranger. He was leading a team of five at the camp. (Special thanks to lovely Amos and Trinity) The tent surpassed the tent I previously experienced at “Jocks lodge”. (Note - I underJocks have disbanded the remote camp and walking safaris) I can’t recommend this enough. Sure, one does feel a tad “exposed” or nervous on the walks .. But it’s perfectly safe. Andrew and “second gun “ Amos are experienced and safety is their top priority. I can’t recall the chefs name (please forgive me) but the food and drinks at the camp were a highlight. We can’t wait to return. (Perhaps not in rainy Feb though )
RPSL was our first experience on photo safari in Africa, and this venue and its staff delivered a memorable and quality experience for us. The lodgings, food and refreshments, service and guided safaris were amazing, well-staffed and responsive. I would recommend Rhino Post to any safari explorer from beginners to even experienced explorers (and remember to bring sufficient local cash for the tips you will want to leave for the staff!).
My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying at The Rhino Post Lodge in early December. The staff, the location, the comfort and location were truly outstanding! Our guides James and then Andrew were very skilled, interesting and safe on both the jeep safaris and the bush walks. We are so grateful for our experience with viewing the animals and birds in Kruger National Park. We will keep our fondest memories for ever! Jo and Jaime
Our stay with Rhino Post Lodge was really great, with luxurious rooms. Early morning wake-up with muffins, followed by a game drive with coffee and snacks was always a good start to the day. This is followed by a delicious, large breakfast served by friendly staff and down-time until high-tea in the afternoon. A sunset drive with snacks and drinks closes off the day, before we were treated to a 3-course dinner and some quality bush-time next to the fire. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and made our stay one to remember! We had an incredible time and will definitely be back
Nice and professional staff, perfect service and food, a place to go absolutely! The game tours are also amazing : lots of animals, good explanations, stop for having a drink… we loved it! Don’t miss it!
1day room not clean blood stain on sheet was sent a poor woman to answer everything no sign of a manger fridge had ants all around it and dead inside they were put out by hand and told you can still use it second day floors ect we're cleaned room in poor repair gap's under and over every door had to get a taxi from shalati train to rhino post 10/15 minutes drive charged 250 euros and drive was told bring us the long way around
A good experience……. Would I go back————probably yes. The Rhino Post staff were great……. Especially James our guide. The food and Reception / Bar Staff were great and made us really welcome. Unfortunately it rained while we were there so that really didn’t help the finding of some animals.
What an amazing location, experience and start to our safari trip! We saw the big five on our first evening, it was spectacular! Sorta was our guide, and WOW, she is amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. Once she discovered my love of birds, she went out of her way to point them out and educated us on all animals and plants. She gave us eduction on the importance of the termite mounds, I have a new fascination now! Such a life changing experience. I will be back, I was bitten by the African bug, my soul needs to return, and I will include returning to this amazing lodge!
