Itwas an absolute bliss!For a bush lodge to have everything in place is Gem! The outside shower over looking the bush it’s insanely beautiful the hot water makes it enjoyable even in winter. Mia the stand in Manger was our fairy Godmother she met our very need & beyond. They organised me a birthday picnic on the deck. Fabian was away yet he kept in touch all the time to ensure our stay was as we wanted it to be. Rina is a gourmet chef; her dishes are 5 star! She makes the best Pap, Samp & Lamb shank ever the best ever tasted. Everything was absolutely magical. We where surrounded by wild life throughout our stay it was a piece of heaven on earth. Every staff member was incredible they were willing to move mountains to ensure our stay is the best. I am absolute at awe 5 star world hotels don’t even offer what this place offers. We are definitely coming back. Our Game drive was a cherry on top, our ranger was super patient and wanted to give the best experience. You can clearly see there is great team work and that everyone was happy and content with working there. If I could I can write a book I would, there is so much brilliance her that we need to share. Our country is beautiful our people are beautiful. I love travelling & I have never experienced like this. In the estate was super friendly. places like this are a rare find. The reviews are a true reflection of the perfection this masterpiece of art is 😊! It was a perfect couples birthday getaway! I was even baked a birthday cake, OMG what else can one ask for!

We loved this place and it felt like Home. Fabian is a excellent superhost and very passionate about his wonderful place. He is very committed to making your stay perfect - so are his wife and the rest of his friendly and cute team. The rooms are neat, with a lovely design (paying attention to small details) and of course everything is clean. An excellent Breakfast is included. They even serve self baked French highlights like croissants or pain au chocolate with an amazing taste! Dinner is optional but we highly recommended it! He is combining African and French cuisine, and the results are soooo delicious. Best food we had in the hole trip! Simply inform Fabian by noon as he is buying all the ingredients for the home cooked dinner fresh from the market. We can’t wait to come back and miss the place already!

Charming place in the middle of a private Wildlife reserve. The rooms are very nice decorated and clean. We enjoyed our stayed there very much, thanks to the friendly owners and very helpful staff. We highly recommend you to order the stay inclusive a dinner, because the cook is a big master. There are two extraordinary benefits of this place: 1. The possibility of very nice walks in the Wildlife reserve, where you can meet giraffes, zebras, wild pigs and oder animals, but you don't need to be afraid of any dangerous predators. 2. Lovely fire place, where all the guests can meet before the dinner and enjoy the atmosphere together.

For a short stay in Hoedspruit, this accomodation is perfect. Great host, excellent breakfast, nice swimming pool. Right in the bush, without any other buildings in site. Plenty of fauna and flora. And good WiFi.

Ukuthula is a jewel in Hoedspruit Wildlife Reserve. With much attention to detail you feel at home as soon you enter the property. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Rooms beautiful and spacious. Absolut recommendation.

Location: The lodge is situated at the periphery, which makes for a private and intimate place. It has a little waterhole, which was visited by Warthogs, Impalas, a turtle (or tortoise, whatever), and many different birds. The rooms are in perfect condition, especially the cleanliness of the place was impressive. The outdoor shower is a highlight.
People: Fabian is a wonderful host. He mastered the art of being attentive without being intrusive. The staff was very friendly, too.
Food: Dinner is reason enough to come here! You can watch it being prepared in front of you in the open kitchen. We had delicious stuffed mushrooms, good ostrich and the best peppermint crisp tart ever (very French: buttery, a bit like an Opéra, and subtly minty).
Advice: - Have dinner here. Tell Fabian in advance that you plan on dining in. - The Gin & Tonic is good. Ask for the blue one.
Overall: It felt like renting a house with nice people in it taking good care of you. The place is set up with a lot of care. Can definitely recommend coming here.

Fabian and his wife picked us up at the airport and on our way to the hotel we did some sightseeing in their small reserve ! There we saw the first giraf ! Welcome was very friendly , the room fantastic - a wonderful garden with pool - we had a lovely candlelight diner and tasty breakfast in the morning before going on our way to explore more of the Kruger park area which we fell in love with . We will definitely return !

We stayed at Ukuthula Bush Lodge for only one night while we were on our way to the Kruger NP. We were pleasantly surprised by the location of the lodge as it is on a wildlife estate with a lot of wild animals.
The lodge itself is beautiful and blends in perfectly with its surroundings. We were welcomed by the owners and shown to our room.
The room was spacious, clean and had a wonderful bathroom including an outdoor shower. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge and both were delicious!
We really wished we had known that this lodge was as good as it is earlier so we could have stayed longer.
In the future we will definitely stay here again (and longer)!

Stunning accommodation in the safe and beautiful Hoedspruit Nature Reserve, Comfort deluxe and Fabian and his team went out of their way to make our overnight stay a brilliant experience. We also had dinner and breakfast at the Lodge and the meals were superior and prices reasonable. We will be back and hopefully for a longer stay next time.

I loved everything about the lodge, if one wants a get away from the city, Ukhuthula is definitely the place. The owner/manager is very friendly and will assist you with activities to do in the area. The staff is very friendly and professional. The lodge is as beautiful as you see it on the website! The food is delicious :). Worth every rand spent!
