I stayed two nights and was totally satisfied. NIce room with comfortable bed, good breakfast. Quiet and safe location. Frankie was especially nice! Location is near Monti!
Thank you Frankie, I come again.

Absolute guest house is not your typical guest house where the owners are on-site. If you prefer privacy and going your own thing you will feel at ease. The pool and patio are stunning at sunset and although the view is not that great you get a sense of the hustle and bustle of Gauteng

We decided to stay somewhere close to monte casino and came across the Absolute guesthouse. Nothing wow about the b&b. The room wasn't ready for us which meant that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, the shower door didn't close and it was generally dusty. I guess it was sufficient enough for a nights sleep but most probably won't stay there again.

Now let me start off by saying, I don't normally take time to write reviews.. We are a busy film team and have a very tight schedule. BUT because this guest house is so magical and welcoming, from the owner (sweet and lovely Frankie) to the rooms. So a review was must!

From the moment our group of 4 entered Absolute guest house we treated like family! Frankie, the owner, is absolute gem of a human! She was so over accommodating and kind.. we all felt like we were at home and Frankie made sure of it. She even loaned one of us her suitcase because it was more useful than what we had with us! Who does that??? No one except lovely Frankie. Her breakfasts are mouthwatering, in fact, we all are still talking about how yummy they were! The property is quiet, secure and beautiful! There is a lovely pool and a relaxing common outdoor sitting area with a garden (and an indoor TV room as well) . The rooms... ok we had three rooms.. and every one was perfect!! Three boys and two girls in our team and all of us agreed!! Beds, oh my so cozy we all slept like kings and queens! Water boiler to make or tea and a mini fridge to keep drinks and food if needed and a TV in each room. And very nice showers!!

Frankly, if you are traveling to the Johannesburg area, there is simply no other bed and breakfast place nicer. Our team will be back again, actually within the next month, if she has room for us... fingers crossed!

We love you Frankie!!! And miss you sooooo much!! See you soon!

Hugs and Kisses,
Boots on the Ground team

Extra kiss from Kim for the suitcase loan! :)

Near the Witkoppenroad there is a wonderfull B&B. Large room, modern bathroom and everything is there what you need.
Mr. and Mrs. Bassani are very friendly and we made a good conversation.
With an excellent breakfast we opened the day in Lonehill, near MonteCasino and Lonehill Mall

This is really not worth the price. The only reason they charge so much is because of the location. The accommodations are not private, cramped and dated. Not sure if the proprietor was trying to be eccentric or amusing, however she just came over as unprofessional and condescending. If they charged R200/night, this would be a good deal, anything over that is a rip-off. Rather pay an extra couple of hundred and stay at one of the chain hotels in the area.

No DSTV as advertised online. Host gave a lame excuse and said it was not needed. Expired items in bar fridge and on dining tables. Horrible breakfast which consisted of a boiled egg, slice of processed cheese and cold meat. Magazines in room to read from the year 2011-2013.
