It was a great experience the staff is kind and professional. A very nice view of Rosebank from the Hotel room. Just need to improve the room and toilet cleaning as well as update the clients with the various services that Radisson provide to its customers Worldwide.

We chose Radisson Red Rosebank because they are close to Rosebank Gautrain Station ( 5 minute walk) & Rosebank Mall & have a rooftop bar. This is very important as South Africa can be dangerous at night after 6PM. At least you could have a drink and relax on the rooftop if the weather is nice after sundown. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are modern & clean. There is a mini fridge & a small seating area, very convenient if you don’t want to sit on the bed while watching tv or enjoy drinks/food. They have great room service (food & drinks) but the rooftop bar is amazing & the food is cheap & delicious! They have delicious cocktails as well. The staff is lovely and they have a shuttle service to the mall which is great! Nothing bad to say about this hotel & I would definitely recommend to stay here. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the room cleaning service could be improved. They often forgot to take out the trash & empty the bins. We stayed there for 9 days & everyday they forgot something. Toiletpapier, necessities for coffee & tea, towels, tissues, it was always something. One time the cleaners left a bottle mirror cleaner in our room we put it in the closet & they found it and took it which means they checked & looked in the closet where all our stuff was. Why do they spend time looking trough stuff instead of cleaning? Just to be clear: They did NOT take OR touch anything except the bottle but it’s just the idea of cleaners looking through your stuff that doesn’t sit well. They could have simply just asked if we have seen the bottle/asked for it back. We cannot blame Radisson for this. Radisson cannot control peoples behaviour but I hope they read this and instruct their cleaners accordingly.

There can be a lot improved. It wasn't all bad but many aspect require work. their customer service failed where there was no communication given that repairs will be done in my room. I returned at 16h00 to find my room looking like a construction site, only to find they were trying to replace the blinds, they could have communicated firstly, then I was subjected to having to change rooms as they had ordered the wrong part. I had plans at 16h30 and had to cancel a pre booked appointment needing to move my belongings between 2 floors, the hassle being I was already unpacked and had arranged my things properly. The 6yh floor I was moved too had a foul unbearable smell which just made one loose their appetite. The cleaning staff decided to clean at around 23h00 while we tried sleeping, which I couldn't understand, they were never around to assist and when requesting an iron, you'd wait over 30 min before it came. I won't even start on the point of them not having the option of smoking rooms for guests.

This is a great little business hotel. I say business hotel because I noticed a lot of professionals at breakfast. The rooms were clean. Opted for the standard size room. I did meet someone before seeing the room who told me the rooms were a bit small but honestly, I've been to Singapore and Japan so the room size was more than adequate for me, who was travelling alone. The bed was large enough to accomodate my usual travel habit of dropping most of my belongings on one side of the bed whilst I slept in the other. The TV had a fair few channels if you need that. The breakfast was good, with a choice of english or continental breakfast. I don't expect you'd swim in the pool, which is a little strangely placed beside the lounge area of the bar. There's a basically equipped gym. No bench or indeed barbell. There's also a useful shuttle to/from Rosebank mall and Sandton City. Pretty much all you need for a short safe trip to Johannesburg. You can walk to Rosebank mall from the hotel but you likely won't need to unless you got stuck with a 45 minute wait because you missed the last shuttle. Like we did.

The service from staff was bad and the food was equally bad. I went there for dinner, I don't know maybe because we were a big group they kept messing up our orders and they took long to bring the food and when the food came it was not good. I ordered a sirloin steak medium but it was almost well done and it was hard to chew, then I ordered cheese cake took them almost an hour to let us know they didn't have cheese cake. The following day we had a work conference on their facility and again we had to wait for food during our breaks (knowing the number of people who were coming why didn't they prepare enough food) even for lunch the food got finished and we had to wait 😢

The Radisson Red is a modern hotel in the Rosebank neighborhood of Johannesburg. As a member of the Radisson brand, it offers the international look and feel that you would expect. Up to you to decide if this is a good (you know what to expect) or bad (lack of South African authenticity). Rooms are modern, clean, functionable. Great views of Johannesburg from the higher floors. On the rooftop you can find a bar (which is also popular with affluent people in Johannesburg) and a mid-sized pool. Staff is friendly but overly cautious (advising not to walk to the nearby mall, which was no problem at all during the day) and recommending their own expensive airport shuttle (charging a multiple of an Uber rate). Not your most authentic Johannesburg feeling but a really comfortable choice for us who had just one night in town before heading back to the airport.

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great stay. The room was very comfortable with a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, TV, desk, sofa and very comfortable bed. The room was very clean and quiet. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. There a small gym on site which has cardio machines, free weights, mats and 2 weight machines and is available 24 hours with your room access. Also a pool which was closed when I was there. The breakfast buffet included in my room cost was great. Great selection of fruit, pastries, bread, cheese, cold meat, eggs to order and hot items to go with your eggs. Restaurant on site which I didn't use. Hotel is about 10 min walk to Rosebank Mall which has a big selection of shops/cafes. I felt safe walking there by myself. The mall is also the start point for the Hop on/off bus. I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Joburg.

The Reddison Red was our first stop of the South African trip! It is conveniently located in the Rosebank district, very close to Rosebank Mall. The hotel is modern and clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. On the roof there is a small pool and the rooftop bar. We promised ourselves more from breakfast. But it was very neat. The hop on - hop off tours start and end within walking distance of the hotel. Those who like to eat steaks should go to The Grill House for 5 minutes!

The safe and security is almost 100%. Caring of personal property is wonderful. I forgot my cellphone in the hotel vehicle while on the way to hotel from Airport pick up. I thought it was in the room Bar as i spend some hours there before getting in my room. I reported the matter to security, the professional lady and front desk officials a young man and young lady. They took the matter with seriously. We get it it was dropped in the vehicle. The Security Lady, the front desks officials, Roof Bar attendee and the driver are people of high intergrity.
