Our wedding was hosted at the beautiful beach venue at Leela Kovalam and it all happened in an extreme smooth manner just like a dream. Huge thanks to Mr. Prameesh - The way he has coordinated the event couldn’t be any more perfect. He had made sure that every guest was well taken care of. I would recommend anyone planning a wedding in Leela to connect with him and tell your requirements there and he will ensure 100% support to plan your dream. Also I would like to thank Exe Chef Deepak and his colleagues for arranging an amazing buffet spread. They had ensured that the food tasted exactly the same as per the instructions we had given. Arun from banquets had ensured that the service was on point at the venue. Also thanks to Reshma,Austin,Natha from front office for smooth check-in and check-out.

The Raviz Kovalam has to be the best hotel in the whole of Kerala. Its a stunning haven perched on a peninsula with access to the beach. It was truly a wonderful experience and the staff are so attentive from the moment you arrive. We stayed here for 5 nights after a tour of Kerala and were lucky to be upgraded to a beach front room furnished in traditional wooden Keralan furniture. Every morning we woke up to the most stunning view. The rooms were well appointed and maintained. Housekeeping provided ample complimentary water bottles, which was very welcomed in the heat. The resort had a buggy service that you could call from your room to take you to the main lobby, beach or spa area which was so useful. Watching the stunning sunset over the infinity pool is a picture that will last in my memory forever. We experienced exceptional service throughout our stay, right up to the last morning, when we left at 1.30am with a complimentary breakfast box for our airport run. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We would like to express our particular thanks to Kumar the pool attendant. Each day he laid our towels before we even arrived, and provided us ice cold water and flannels throughout the day. Also Rekha Noir the guest relations manager - literally she will; help you with any help or advice at all. The staff at breakfast were amazing, and you were so spoilt for choice, right down to the security guards, who always welcomed you with a warm smile and 'Namaste'. We travelled as two couples on a bed & breakfast basis. Aside from the hotel there is plenty of restaurants walking distance to eat 'local' food. We also took the time to have a free consultation with the Spa We were sad to leave, and will certainly return in the future. Whilst the Raviz is a popular wedding venue, we saw 3 in 5 days, but as Westerners we found it fascinating watching the weddings and not intrusive. If you are considering going, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed for six nights at the end of our trip to India and couldn't have chosen a better place for our final destination. The views from the hotel and our room over the beaches were stunning and we really couldn't fault anything but it is really the staff that made our experience so special. As soon as we arrived and received Rekha's welcome we were filled with confidence that this was going to be a great stay. The room was a good size with a great shower in the bathroom. It is true that the hotel is not brand spanking new but the beautiful tiles on the floor in the lobby and the tiling in the bathroom all added a character to this hotel that we hadn't experienced in other hotels during our trip. Breakfasts were great, a really good choice all freshly prepared and great service, especially loved watching the man make masala tea, on one morning when we arrived Riya told us the breakfast area was really busy as there was a wedding and she offered us the choice of dining in the club area which we did and it was a really relaxing experience.
The hotel's beach area is well maintained with great sunbeds and really great staff. The pool area was always quiet and Vishnu and Kumar were always attentive bringing us cold water and cold towels when we arrived.
One aspect of the stay we really enjoyed was our sunset cocktails at the outside bar. I can honestly say that Ashock prepared the best mojitos and manhattan we have ever tasted!!!
Equipment in the gym was good, each day we visited we had it to ourselves.
We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings but walked out of the hotel in both directions and found great places to eat.
Overall a fantastic stay and we were really sad to leave.

Me and My Wife recently 24-27 th Feb stayed at The Raviz Kovalam , The property is really at a fantastic location at Kobalam. We stayed in the Beach houses. The Staff there are really too prompt and almost like Pamper you. They Room Service , The Restaurant , the Breakfast location ( The tides ) serve you the best food options. The experience of Pampering starts right at the moment one checkin. They ensure that they make you comfy before the on boarding process. The best thing i loved was the 4-5 pm Tea and snacks available for all the Visitors . The Entire staff ( Management) also mingles with you for there cuppa of Coffee or Tea . They take time off to check your comfort. here I would like to mention Ms. Aswati , she really was a super guide and advised us best for making the holiday a experience to remember. The climate was very hot but the rooms are well Airconditioned. This is a must visit property. I am sure will be definitely visiting again

The hotel is beautifully located on top of a hill directly at sea. The reception area looks very pretty as does the main restaurant ( outside and inside sitting) clearly this is a place for a five star hotel, but unfortunately it does not live up to that standard anymore. The rooms itself are ok but show a lot of wear and tear. Many ( sometimes repaired ) humidity spots. Bathrooms are out of date. the airco openings are dirty. Other general spaces also look as if they need renovation. Outside of gardenviewrooms and clubrooms need painting as well. The gardens are well maintained and nice.
Staff is very friendly but seem somewhat inexperienced, as shows the number of wrong food servings brought to our table. ( only in the busy terrace restaurant )
The big pool ( next to the restaurant ) has good service, when going there a cold towel is offered and cold bottles of water. However when going to the second pool or to the private beach you get the bathing towel and further nothing is offered! You have ( slow ) internet for two devices complimentary, if you need faster or for more devices you have to pay. Very strange for a “5 star place”
They have quite some weddings and conferences. That means for the “normal” hotelguests quite some music and since it takes place on the beach they close down one of their two restaurants, the best one the tides ( for 3 consecutive days when we stayed)
So yes we relaxed after three weeks touring through India. You can go to this place but if you want value for money with a really 5 star experience, look further!

I went to The TIDES Restaurant a couple of days back, I could breath a fresh air while entering into the restaurant. Can't explain d beauty of the outlet. I tried koongpad, phad Thai, and Lobster, this is the most delicious fud I have ever had, which all suggested by Asna. Their menu is littlebit difficult to understand, but I noticed dat she's describing the whole dishes and the sufficient quantities of the gud to other guests very patiently, who ever is confusing to decide about d fud, that is d most important thing. I recommend about the restaurant and also about Asna to few of my friends. Anyway thank you so much Asna for your all help wish you all the best in ur career and life.

We arrived at The Raviz after a 3 week holiday touring India on arrival we were greeted by very helpful staff and the hotel manager who proceeded to upgrade our rooms to a club area complete with its own restaurant and infinity swimming pool. The room was excellent complete with balcony overlooking the Arabian Sea . The cub had its own reception and backup staff who looked after us tremendously well the cleanliness (by Payel and Maju)and the overall condition of the facility was excellent choice of restaurants buggies to take you to the beach cars to take you on trips everything you could want truly a 5 star establishment

Luxury hideaway set on the cliffs with a fabulous view of the ocean. An indulgent destination with fabulously attentive staff.
Rekha/Vishnu/Maneshka.... Pool staff, chefs all there to ensure you get the most out of your stay.
Personalised service from Rekha was first rate with her and the team happy to make arrangements for whatever we needed.
One point to be aware of is this is a large hotel very popular with large events, finding quiet relaxation areas is still possible but you should be prepared for this particularly during wedding season where the gorgeous surroundings are a popular choice.
Great food on offer in both the terrace where we enjoyed an array of tasty local flavours for breakfast each day together with a continental selection, and the more refined multi cuisine Tides where we ate on a couple of nights.
The aryuveda Spa run by the in-house aryuvedic Dr is outstanding, phenomenal range of treatments on offer in beautiful relaxed surroundings. If you are feeling adventurous try the chivutti thirummu, the setting for this massage is unique with the sounds of the rolling ocean in the open air treatment room.
Kovalam itself is right on the doorstep, so although you would be forgiven for spending all your time in the hotel, I would encourage you to head out and explore and taste the local food along Lighthouse beach which is incredible value. Our favourite was Malabar cafe, try their Kadai, delicious.
The Raviz Kovalam is a 5star venue with very attentive service, when we return to Kerala we will find it hard not to return here.

This property, probably offers the best view of the sea from Kovalam, and also has a semi-private beach. The hotel spanning over 60 acres was previously owned by the Leela Group, and earlier by other prestigious groups.
The villas have rooms that you would expect from Star rated hotels and has some wood work thrown in along the lines of old Kerala "tharavadu" architecture. The front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff are courteous, eager to help and appear knowledgeable of Kovalam and sights around. The food is a little on the expensive side and can do with some more variety, and the limited food offerings appear to be a result of the pandemic.
Tip for travellers during the pandemic: The cliff side property is under renovation and you may get only the beach facing villas at sea level. But you may want to request for a trip of the property on a golf cart and the tour would let you know why is it so highly rated. You should not miss getting a view of the sea from the sunset point.

We stayed in the hotel from 22nd to 24th Jan, 2020; it was our 2nd visit to the property after 25 years. 1st time it was our honeymoon and then it was an ITDC hotel, the idea was to revisit the memory. Customer relationship Manager Ms. Rekha Nair with her warmth and personal care made it happen like a 2nd honeymoon. We were treated so specially with a decorated bed, a celebration cake and even jasmine garlands that I am absolutely overwhelmed. A special thanks to the housekeeping team and the chef who makes filter coffee at breakfast counter for their loving attention. The property is excellent and wonderfully maintained, its definitely worth visiting time and again.

They aren't in the same room...But it is in the same villa. The villa is just sectioned into two. You can easily access the other room either through the front door or as we liked to do, through the balcony as it is separated by a thin partition. Theres just a wall separating the two spaces, the rooms aren't really in two different locations. Hope that helps!
