We had room #3 for 6 nights with a queen sized bed and included breakfast daily (7-9am) including taxes it was $203/night. This seemed a bit pricey in comparison to other options nearby. (We walked through a private room at the Poshtel next door which was just as nice for $65/night) Our free breakfast included buffet of coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruit and breads/muffins and then made to order pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, omelette as well. The room was rather small, poor bathroom ventilation (small ants in bathroom as well), had refrigerator, bed was rather firm, our room faced the street/large windows over looking a beautiful park but very noisy. No hanging area for clothing. I would recommend a room overlooking restaurant/pool to avoid street noise, but be aware that evening music in restaurant is loud. Pool is deceiving, in 6 days, no one swam in it. It is small and pretty and encircled by the restaurant with no privacy and no lounge chairs either. It was basically just to look at, which was very disappointing. Would loved to have taken a dip to cool off, especially after long hikes. The staff was very nice and the location was very good to walk to restaurants and shops. There is a bakery next door that opens for pastry & coffee at 5am if you have an early tour. La Fortuna taxi service via WhatsApp was great to use in this area. Bogarin Trail is a 10 minute walk and must see.…
So this place is a little tucked away gem and we are glad we stayed. The pool and restaurant on site were great! Luis and Vanessa were amazing at the front desk. The way you are welcomed with drinks was a lovely touch! Also if you were looking to do anything they would let you know what was best and book for you. And even tell you things you didn't even know about like Arenal 1968 Trail. And the location was amazing being able to just walk all around town. Also every night we stayed I was able to park right out front and they have 24 hour desk service so it was awesome. You would not be disapointed in your stay here.
Great stay! Super friendly staff!! Stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. Rooms are well appointed with everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. On site restaurant served an excellent breakfast that’s included in your room fee. Located in the center of town and close to everything. Bus station is just around the corner. Looking forward to returning next month!
This is a hotel used by Greenworld Tours. It is clean but very basic. There is no safe in the room, the rooms are very small but all you need is there. We were in La Fortuna on a tour to the Arenal volcano. We stayed there for two nights which was just enough. It was nice to walk around town and explore. The restaurant in the hotel was very good.
Excellent location. Front desk staff are very helpful and kind, booked our Zipline tour last minute at the front desk with ease. Breakfast is great. Room is clean and comfortable, balcony overlooking pool was nice. Would stay again & would recommend to family and friends.
The excellent service and food make it up for the modest accommodation. Better than in a 5 star hotel! Located in the downtown of Fortuna, you can easily explore by foot the entire city. Don’t look too far for dinner locations, the restaurant of the hotel is outstanding. We loved every second here. Many thanks to all wonderful people who looked after us!
What you want in an adventures vacation time? A comfortable bed and bath, with hot water, breakfast included at an excellent service restaurant Maria Bonita, great surroundings for shopping, tours coordination and night live. Definitely, it worth the money, and we recommend it if you come to Costa Rica to visit their spectacular nature's sites.
We stayed here for one night. It’s a great location in the center of La Fortuna which makes it easy to get to La Arenal and hot springs. It’s a no-frills clean place with friendly staff. Fun to see the art that is in the lobby.
Used this hotel as a base to explore the Arenal area; stayed for 2 nights. Pros: - Great location - it is right in the middle of La Fortuna, with all the restaurants and supermarkets within easy walking distance, so a great place to stay if you do not have a car. - Room had A/C and was quite spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the small pool in the center of the hotel complex. Pool looked nice as well although didn't use it. - Very tasty breakfast which consisted of a fruit plate and either the traditional Costa Rican or American breakfast plate, served to you poolside in an open air space. - Staff all spoke good English so was easy to communicate with them; there was daily cleaning of the room. Cons: - Shower pressure was fairly weak, but was otherwise nice and hot! - Wifi was mostly ok but sometimes disconnected. - Note that there are no elevators but it's only ground / first / second floors - if you don't want to climb stairs with luggage, ask for one of the accessible rooms on the ground floor.…
My partner and I stayed here on the second leg of our tour of Costa Rica We stayed for 3 nights in total It's in a good location, you are literally surrounded by bars, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream stores, shops etc. There is a nice park opposite also The hotel is very clean He room is basic but clean and has a small private balcony We only used the restaurant for breakfast, which was good. There is a very small pool there but we did not use The staff are extremely friendly and very very helpful Highly recommend the sloth tour which is about a 10 minute walk tour your left as you come out the hotel If there was one thing that would have made this perfect it would be to have a safe in the room -even if you had to hire it or pay a deposit, I'm sure this is something that all guests would appreciate All in all a fantastic stay 👍…
