The location is very good and the service of the staff is great too. Unfortunately the aircon for the rooms are not working well and it feels like the air is recycled within the building with very strong cigarette smell when others are smoking in their rooms. If you are sensitive to cigarette smokes, this is not an ideal hotel.

Hotel is clean and comfy however do not purchase snacks or drinks overnight/early AM I got charged $1 more for snacks from an unfriendly front desk employee. I purchased snacks when I checked in and they were cheaper. Just watch out!! Wonder what it’s like if you charge to your room??

If you are hiking the Camino de Santiago, take a breather and stay at this beautifully renovated 1723 farm house!! The owners have taken amazing care of restoring this beautiful farm house! For a non vegan and vegan - food was awesome!

this is a good hotel and service to match. great gym and swimming pool area. service are good. very pleasant staff. comfortable bed. toiloeries are good and amenity in room were fine. would recommend for a higher class stay. also the location is great. lots of shopping malls around hotel.

I have been coming to Shanghai for many years, and I have officially made The Kunlun my place to stay. The location is good and the facilities are excellent from the breakfast to using the gym. The rooms are very comfortable. The tv has Cinemax and HBO in English; and it includes the room service system which is efficient. The best part of the stay is the staff, from the chefs to waiters/waitresses to the housekeepers. Everyone is extremely friendly and professional. It is a great place for solo or families; highly recommend

The Kunlun Jing An is the best hotel in Shanghai. The people are kind and very hospitable. The staff from the managers to the chamber maids will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and unforgettable one. The restaurants serve first class food, the rooms are immaculate, the gym and sauna are world class. I have been coming here for 20 years!!! Come and enjoy……

I stayed here with my two children (4 months old and 3 year old) during the coronovirus situation. We arrived just before the virus took momentum, this meant the majority of our 10 days was in the hotel as most of the attractions in Shanghai were closed. They kindly gave a discounted price to upgrade to a suite and provided a nice cot for my infant. The upgrade included buffet breakfast and executive lounge access. The executive lounge provides an afternoon tea and dinner/cocktail service. Usually it’s a buffet (similar to airport lounges), but after a few days due to the coronavirus issue, they provided two set meals which were very filling and delicious. You can ask for more food if you’re still hungry. I particularly want to thank Stella who looked after my children and myself in the executive lounge, nothing was too much trouble. I also particularly liked the fact that all visitors and hotel guests were thermal scanned before entering each time, it made me feel much safer during this stressful period. 10/10 would stay again.…

I've stayed in the Hotel many times since it was Hilton. Very nice and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the Executive Lounge, people there are all so nice. Joyce patiently helped me to pick the room, Stella is always there smiling and ready to help. When I showed my 95 years old father around, Christina Li let us feel the great warms and hospitality. Thank you all the people on 38th floor, because of you, Kunlun will always be my first choice when I come to Shanghai!

I have been twice in this hotel. Both times for business, 10 nights each time. The rooms were clean and well kept. The hotel overall is nice but starting to be a bit dated. Regarding the restaurant: I only tried the breakfast - which was full of choices and ok quality. I liked the fact that is conveniently located on the edge of the French concession which is very vibrant and full of bars, restaurants and wine bars with outdoor tables. A good mix of Chinese culture with a European twist.
