Unfortunately despite a beautiful setting and friendly staff, the organisation and communication is poor. We had no success getting any reply to emails trying to organise transfers before we left. It took 2 phone calls and persistence to get that sorted. Quite stressful. The stay itself was nice enough. After we left (and having settled up in full) we got a $261NZ charge to our credit card a week later. No communication about what it was for. We have subsequently sent 3 emails asking for an explanation with no response. This seems pretty fraudulent. We will obviously not be going back there!

We have just come back from Likuliku Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Likuliku is an all-inclusive hotel, but the meals are all fine-dining and surprisingly good. We stayed for 6 nights. Every meal is different and creative. We transferred from Melbourne to Sydney and to Nadi. Our luggage arrived two dates late. Likuliku Management helped to call the Airlines and Nadi Airport. Overall, hotel management has done an excellent job, and hotel teams are naturally warm and loving people. We felt pampered and well taken care of throughout our stay. We have stayed in Maldives and Bora Bora resorts a few times, Likuliku is the place where we really feel home. Non-motor sport equipment is complimentary in Likuliku and there are plenty of activities. We took the glass bottom canoe to row around the resort. The team taught my husband how to sail the Hobie. We also got PADI certified while we were there. The Scuba instructors are very nice and knowledgeable. We couldn't book the Over-water Bungalow this time. We are planning to go back and stay in Over-water Bangalow next time. Thanks everyone from Likuliku resort for bringing us a very memorable wedding anniversary.

This place is incredible. We had an overwater bure, which we thought was perfect. You are made to feel truly special from the moment you arrive at the landing jetty. From the minute of landing it is all smiles your entire stay. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The joyful disposition of everyone around you is so infectious. The staff also all learn your name right off the bat, and quickly pick up your personal preferences too (where you like to sit, what you like to drink). This makes the service feel so personal and is a truly incredible feat. They said they were at 95% occupancy when we were there, and even so the resort felt very quiet and never crowded. There was always choice of space for us, wherever we wanted to go (bars, pool, restaurant, whatever). We did several activities and spa treatments and never had a problem getting in to do what we wanted to do, when we wanted to do it. The setting is just stunning and looks exactly like the photos. There is so much incredible wildlife. We saw countless species of fish, rays of various sorts, moray eels, reef sharks, and even one turtle. We snorkelled on many islands throughout the Mamanucas/Yasawas during our trip and we saw the best variety of fish at Likuliku of anywhere. Other places have more coral, but the only sight we thought had even similar fish was Daraqwa island. On land there are beautiful birds, mud crabs, geckos, butterflies, etc. Just amazing! The stars here are something else too. We thought the prices of everything in the resort were good value for such an upscale property. Beers were around FJ$12, complicated cocktails FJ$25-30 (less for simpler drinks) and wines ran from around FJ$120 a bottle up to whatever you wanted to spend (with a good selection of wines by the glass for around FJ$25). Spa treatments were exceptional value for a luxury hotel and exceptionally good. Like everywhere in the resort they go above and beyond. We wound up returning for various treatments every day and all were excellent. The attention to detail is everywhere. There are so many thoughtful little touches, like lighting a candle in your room in the evening and turning on soft music on your stereo at turndown so it’s playing when you arrive back from dinner. There are so many good activities, very many of which are free. We found the kava ceremony and the talk on the resort’s iguana conservation efforts truly special. We took a snorkelling trip out to a more distant reef too - and while the scale of the reef further out was quite a sight, we actually saw more (and more interesting) fish right on the hotel’s own reef. Tides are the only point we would want to be aware of: check the tide charts before your stay if direct water access from the beach or your room is important to you, because at low tide the water is too shallow to swim from the shore or overwater bures. At these times you have to go via the main jetty which extends further out over the reef. When we were there the tides were extreme because of the season and so only high enough to swim from the room for 3-4 hours each morning (and in the middle of the night, when for obvious reasons you cannot swim). At low tide there is still water under the overwater bures, which preserves the aesthetic, but it’s only a few inches above the coral.

The island has everything we needed for a perfect relaxing break. We’re already dreaming of going back. The food, the ambience, the snorkelling and the staff, the staff the staff!! Thank you for looking after us like we were in our homeliest of homes! Ruci, Rossi, Tale, Rafael, Iesi, Nimi, just to name the ones who we saw everyday smiling and spreading the Fiji spirit. What a beautiful place! This is not a budget holiday, but it is certainly very, very special.

we spent a week at LikuLiku, being extremely well looked after, we had the indulgence package which included helicopter transfers and a very nice bottle of champagne. the food was superb, all day, the accommodation beautiful. We selected the deluxe beachfront bure with plunge pool. Perfect spot for an afternoon drink (made easier by the select your own minibar). the spa is another excellent facility with all sorts of options, the house reef although tidal has some excellent snorkeling available and if you want to dive this can be arranged with Sub surface Fiji who will pick you up and drop you back. the staff are extremely accommodating and cant do enough to make sure you have a great holiday. If you are looking for an adults only relaxing holiday this is the place

Went here on my honeymoon. Saw the reviews and I can confirm that this resort is INCREDIBLE. I normally do not review ANYTHING but my experience with Likuliku was so good I had to write a review. My wife and I took the boat in from the main island, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. We were immediately given complimentary drinks (an amazing black tea - passionfruit tea that I miss to this day...) while we waited for our room to open up. We stayed the first two nights in the deluxe beachfront rooms. Everything was clean, thoughtful, and of course beautiful. Our room had a direct view of the beach and had a private pool in front. The outdoor shower was also a nice touch and a fun experience although I wouldn't use it regularly. We spent the remaining five nights in the over-water rooms, which were as amazing as we imagined. You can see the marine life swimming underneath your living room floor. There is a private landing and ladder from which you can snorkel with a shower head right there for you the rinse off. There's also a day bed out on the private deck. The enormous tub in this room was also perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The price tag is definitely a little steep, but I would say it's so so worth it. There is about a week's worth of things to do at this resort alone. My wife and I took full advantage of the hikes, boat trips out to snorkeling spots, honeymoon island, etc. and at the end of a full week we feel like we had just done all the things available. If you're into excursions, lots of activities, I would say stay at most a week, otherwise you'll run out of things to do. The service was also amazing. I don't know why some reviews bash on the service, honestly, this was probably the best service I have ever seen. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and reached out to see if we ever needed anything. They accommodated our personal requests and were always so kind and happy. For the record, my wife and I are both East Asian, which some apparently point out as a reason for "racism" but I can only say that those accusations are highly suspect based on my background and experience. And, of course, the food...I would come back just for the food. The menu changes daily and the variety is incredible. I say with no exaggeration that this was THE BEST food that I have ever had and I would not be surprised if it remained as the best for the rest of my life. My favorites were the lobster, prawns, and pretty much all of the deserts and the coolers provided before the appetizers (my personal favorite was the mint pineapple!). Every meal, you book your seat ahead of time with the staff. I personally loved the outdoor seats that gave you a view of the sunset. This is the easiest, most well-deserved, and probably only 5/5 rating I will ever put on the internet. I will definitely be back someday. I must.

Unbelievable resort with unbelievable service from staff. This was heaven on earth for us. Our group came here as the highlight after 20 days cruising along the pacific islands. The bures were incredibly spacious. The beachfront bures have outdoor showers and an indoor one. This is an adult only resort with mostly couples. Meals are included except for drinks. The meals make this place a cut above Other resorts that offer 3 meals a day. The chef is innovative with the dishes which are so artfully crafted and they are absolutely delicious as they look. These place deserves a Michelin status for sure. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and care from the staff. They are very attentive and kind and sincere. The overwater bures rival that of Tahiti, Bora Bora or Moorea. Lastly the location is pure paradise. Thank Likuliku for great memories. We will be back for sure

This was a special occasion for us and a bucket list to have an overwater villa. from the moment we arrived to singing on the pier the stay is amazing. The service from everyone was top notch - whether a buggy to your room, dinner and drinks, water sports, reception - nothing was too much trouble. The staff learn your name very quickly which gives a lovely personalised touch to restaurant time. And you are there ALOT for the most amazing food!!

It is not so hard to see why there are so many 5 star reviews of Likuliku Lagoon resort. My wife and I just came back from a week’s stay during the President’s Day week, and I have to echo what many have already said about the resort. First of all, the resort is beautiful. It is situated on a calm bay (Likuliku means calm winds) surround by marine sanctuaries. All the facilities (accommodations, restaurant/bar, reception, activities center, spa, pool) are situated along the shore with gorgeous views. On our 1. 8 hrs catamaran transfer to the island from Port Denarau, we passed many islands and resort, and I can say that Likuliku was the prettiest we encountered. We appreciated the traditional Fijian architecture of all the structures. The adults-only resort is a great get away for couples that desired a quiet romantic retreat. It is not for people who had in mind a more party, club-like atmosphere. You will not find jet skis here, nor pounding music blaring, nor screams of children. It is no wonder why many celebrities like Sia, Lian Neeson and Harrison Ford chose Likuliku as a vacation destination. From the time you arrive until the time you depart, you will be feel welcomed like family. All the staff are friendly and there to provide for your needs. A shout out to Joe at the activities center, who taught my wife, who never learned to swim, to snorkel by coaching her first in the resort pool, and then taking her hand on snorkeling excursions to Mociu(Honeymoon) island, making her feel safe. On another occasion when we took the Hobie Cat out for sailing on a windy day, Joe and another staff got on a skiff and monitor us to ensure we are ok, and then when the water abruptly got choppy and we had trouble turning the boat into the wind, Joe got onboard and instructed the skiff to help turn the catamaran, and then assisted to pilot the boat back. On occasions like these when we feel a staff exceeded expectations, we offered gratuities to the individual- even though the resort brochure stated that tips are not necessary and optional- and are welcomed by the staff as wages are low in this part of the world. At the end of our trip we also contributed to the staff fund box at the reception. On the day of our checkout we requested late checkout and the resort manager happily accommodated. We booked a beachfront bure but got upgraded to the deluxe beach front bure (has the plunge pool). We didn’t think the plunge pool was necessary as the resort has a beautiful infinity pool, but after experiencing the plunge pool I feel that it was a nice amenity as the extra privacy and convenience were welcomed, and I enjoyed it every evening. The bure itself was incredibly spacious, with large King bed and a sitting area, his and her closets as well as vanities, and an outdoor shower area in the back. Facing the beach is the outdoor deck with two chairs and two lounge chairs, the 5 ft deep plunge pool, and a large canopied day bed with plush pillows. From the outdoor deck, you are literally just steps from the beach. There was room service each day, plus an evening turn down when they refresh your room and also bring bottled water, cookies, turned on relaxing music for you and even lit a candle tea light. The food we had during the week was fantastic. Each meal was a fine dining experience, with amazing taste and presentation. For breakfast, you can have the buffet and make your own juice from fresh fruits, or you can order ala carte from the menu, or do both. For lunch and dinner, there usually is an amuse bouche, which is some kind of cooler made from fruit and an light appetizer, then you can choose several options for your main course (usually a seafood or meat) and desserts. For dinner, they prefer that you reserve a time (and specify an area where you like to sit). For an intimate resort like this, they only have one restaurant, but there are different sitting areas (outdoor, indoor) on different levels, so the views can be varied, but they all look out to the amazing bay and the surrounding islands. For sunset, there was always a torch lighting ceremony, where a staff in traditional Fijian grass skirt goes around and light the torches around the restaurant and the walkway leading to the Masima outdoor bar. If you stay includes a Friday, there will be a special performance by the staff, which include traditional singing and dancing(and you get to participate), followed by a buffet. While basic tea, coffee and juices are included for breakfast, at any other times if you wish for other beverages or alcohol there will be additional charges, which aren’t too bad. The activities center has daily programs (both free and paid). Free programs can include walks or cooking demonstrations or presentations about native iguana preservation, and even a Kava ceremony. Paid excursions for snorkeling, island hopping, village visits, fishing, etc are reasonably priced. All non-motorized water sports are complimentary, which include snorkeling in the lagoon ( you are given a set when you check-in), kayaks (both regular and glass-bottomed), paddle boards, and sailing in Hobie Cats. We booked our vacation package through Costco Travel, which included our airport transfer, catamaran transport to the island, and we got extra amenities like included welcome bottle of champagne, 1 hour couples aromatic massage, and use of Fiji Airways Premier Lounge on our departure day. We highly recommend this resort if you want a quiet relaxing stay. We have beautiful memories here from our week’s stay.
