Great hotel and reasonably priced given the location. If you can, splurge for one of the balcony rooms. Nothing like looking out over the Gulf. Room was very clean and comfortable. I understand that with staffing shortages and Covid restrictions, they don't come in and clean the room every day. But it would be nice if they at least emptied the trash. Breakfast solid and the staff with nice. Unfortunately, my next-door neighbor made lots of noise, but not much the hotel can do about that.
First, the staff was incredibly nice. We were there with a church youth group for a Student Life Camp (5 nights) at Orange Beach Events Center. So we interacted a lot with them. They were unfailingly kind. Our students said things like "the lady behind the desk helped me with . . ." "The Breakfast was good and when we were running low on (syrup, fruit, whatever) the people running the breakfast were already bringing out what was needed." They also worked hard to keep everything clean. The location is right on the beach (beautiful!!!), but they must mop the lobby floor every hour. It was always clean and fresh--not easy for a beach hotel. The breakfast buffet was quite well done.
Very good location at the beach, although during our stay a boardwalk thru a dune was under construction, but it was only a minor inconvenience. Nice outdoor pool and jacuzi. Relatively good hot breakfast (fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals, bagels, omelet etc). Coffee/tea not available outside breakfast hours, unfortunately. Clean and spacious room.
We had a great getaway at Hampton Inn orange beach. A friend and I each brought our kiddos (4 kids so 6 total). We got a side view room with 2 queen beds. We had a great experience. Pool is great! The only thing that could’ve made it better would have been if the beach walkway hadn’t been torn down to be redone. But, they accommodated well!
Two hour delay for check in. Boardwalk to beach was torn out during our stay. Room wasn’t cleaned at all and trash wasn’t collected from room. We normally stay at the Hampton for our family vacation for fall break but will reconsider for next year. Very disappointed for the money we spent to stay here and hotel staff had no answers to questions.
