Its been over two years since my last visit to the Resort and it was with hesitation that I made the booking. However I was pleasantly surprised for the better as things have improved significantly. The customer experience is much improved although there is still some simple things to be better. Check in was quicker but still could be sleeker with all paper work kept ready and luggage transfer to room co-ordinated in advance. The garden and pool area is still well maintained. Rooms remain clean with most comfort needs met including WiFi.Calls to all teams are promptly answered although on one occasion I seem to annoy Room Service person when I had to call twice. Is it me or him that should be annoyed :)? There is a significant price hike for the higher floors facing the sea although the standard rooms are equally comfortable if you are able to stay in without the sea views from your room. Breakfast spread is also better and greater with a service that is prompt and flexible.
The only drawback to note is that if you plan to visit outside the Resort then calling an Uber or Ola taxi may be problematic. We had to check out early on our last day but there was no available taxi for pick up at 6.00am. Also the wait for a taxi can be long at any time.
A more competitive price per night would be attractive to come more often although I do understand the popularity of this venue for weddings and business team meeting.
Finally there were a few staff who made a favourable impression however special mention to Mehek and Omkar.

We went to attend a family wedding and wound up having a gorgeous vacation. Imagine an idyllic beach resort in the heart of Mumbai. It is obviously a choice for such celebrations and has all the facilities that such a function seeks. To us, it was more than that. We could have early morning walks on a rather wide and surprising clean beachfront, accessible through a secure and guarded gate. The rooms are well-appointed and have a size that would normally be rare in a Metro based resort. The most heartening feature was the sumptuous spread available in the restaurant. This resort clearly has a Chef of standing. I would recommend the place for a weekend getaway as well, ofcourse in the right season, as there are any number of activities to keep a family engaged for 2-3 days.

A great place to stay for a vacation or an off site that too in mumbai. Location is excellent as it is on the beach itself.
The property is done up well and rooms have all the facilities you need including iron board, hair dryer etc. Rooms are done up well and if you get rooms on a higher floor you would get a great view of the beach as well.
The buffet has a good spread with loads of option for you to choose from in all the meals.
The swimming pool is huge with a seperate area for kids. The property has great lawns where you can enjoy you morning and evening cup of tea.
The property is at an hour drive from Mumbai airport during peak time and 35-40 mins normal time.
But a definite stay option if you are planning a vacation in mumbai.

One of the main reasons for visiting the Resort is the balconies to the ocean facing rooms. This time they have sealed the balconies of the rooms without informing the guests prior. If the balconies are sealed, the value of the property diminishes to a great extent and you have re-think if still want to stay in the hotel without the balconies. We went in the monsoons and due to covid they are serving food only in the rooms. The food took ateleast 1 1/2 hr to be served and this happened for each of the four times we ordered the meals during our two day stay

‘The Resort’ is an oasis in the madness of Mumbai!
We were blessed to have just returned from nearly 3 weeks vacation at this wonderful hotel, where our sole aim was rest and relaxation, which we achieved.
The communication and organisation from the resort team was first class, from making the initial reservation to arranging transport to / from the airport. Nothing was a problem, and they have a ‘can do’ attitude.
The hotel is on the northern edge of Mumbai city and feels quite remote (good thing), however there are plenty of Tuk Tuks’s available at the beach approach if you need to venture out and a 30 min trip to the Infinity mall costs in the region of 300 rupees each way.
The club room we stopped in was spacious, had a verry large and comfortable bed with stunning views of the pool, beach and the magnificent sunsets. The room was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team who also arranged same day laundry, very reasonably priced by European standards.
The pool area had plenty of sunbeds with clean towels, a changing room with showers and a lifeguard on hand just in case there was a problem. There is direct access to the beach from the hotel, via a security gate, where locals go to relax and watch the amazing sunsets. There were a few stalls catering for locals which resulted in a little mess, but not too bad considering you are in Mumbai.
The resort specialises in Indian weddings, which are full of colour and happiness and can last over several days, and we were privileged to have witnessed many from either poolside or from our room balcony.
All the staff are amazing, everyone is genuinely happy to help and continually smiling, we were made to feel like VIP guests. The reception team, including Taniksha, were so welcoming and was able to deal with requests without hesitation or fuss. The food was magnificent every single day we were there. Ajay the head chef was awesome and as a foodie I could have talked to him all night about his food, his is so enthusiastic and passionate about his craft. Amit, in charges of deserts, created some magical memories with his creations. The waiting team, Including Patrik, Semin, Suraj and Lalit made every meal, breakfast, lunch & dinner, a joyous occasion and were all so nice and friendly.
Abhijeet the hotel manager came by everyday to say hello and personally ask if everything was to our expectations, nothing was too much trouble. He also appreciates what a great team he has around him, singing their praise at every opportunity.
A special mention to Mr Kazi, the food and beverage manager. Kazi would go above and beyond on so many occasions to make sure our vacation would be filled with so many happy memories and special moments. Thank you.
We would wholeheartedly recommend ‘The Resort Mumbai’

Very bad service , quality of room cleaning is bad , the kettle had water from the earlier user ,toiletries don’t even have a basic lotion kit , check in time is 1.00 pm but check out time is 10 am - so the hotel wants to be petty about a few hours !!!!! We ordered for room service - coffee and tea which never arrived, calls for services go unanswered . Had the prices been low maybe these things were expected , but with the pricing at par or even higher than Mumbai A plus luxury hotels this kind of mediocre and pettiness is totally not worth it , please stay away . Please be assured that our patrons mostly rave about our services and an experience like yours is really rare at our resort. Having said this, we will look into your grievances and ensure that the best steps are implemented to resolve them. Water is kept in Kettle and it is for the reason and was not from the earlier user. The only reason for it is to avoid electrocution. All hotel have their own standard check in and checkout time, however hotel does allow 2 hours extension on a special case, however asking for 04:00 pm check out would be on a additional charge. and hotel would not be able to have the same room given to any other guest. We had arrived at the hotel at 13:45 hours wherein the check in timing was at 13oo hours, than too we were informed that rooms are getting ready and we would have to wait for at least half hours. Whilst check-in, no information was provided to us for breakfast , pool, other activities and facilities timings in the hotel. We had to ask specifically for the same. Also no one escorted us to the room and carry our luggage. No one was there to show the room and its amenities. Also I am amazed that the Hotel charges for Plates , Spoons, Forks, Bowls and Ice Bucket in Room Service. No hotels in India does that. Further, in the Bar, we had ordered two shooters, for which , what was served to us we don't know and it was not very well prepared as well. There also our expectation fell very low. The spread was good for breakfast, but we weren't able to seat on the seat of our choice since soiled plates were lying over there and no one was bothered to clean the same and further when we asked one waiter to get us the Dosa , he refused straightway that you need to take it on your own, which is quite contrary in the hospitality sector. Overall I would rate 1.5 stars our of 5 stars for our stay and hospitality experience.

Check in was quick ( reception team was great ).... we had booked 2 rooms ( interconnected ).Spacious rooms, excellent property and excellent sea view facing room. but seems wasnt my day coz of the following reasons
1 ) Fridge in room wasnt working and inspite of 3 calls after every 30 minutes,nobody bothered and finally after complaining at reception a guy came and replaced it.
2 ) My bed spring was damaged and was making very uncomfortable even to seat on it ..which was quickly replaced.
3 ) This property is know for its peaceful surroundings and it's a pleasure just to take a stroll in it but that too wasnt possible as lot of nuisance and crowd was their coz of FILM SHOOTING. My relatives were stopped from moving freely in the resorts premises. Agreed it's your good source of income but nuisance for your resident guests ( you need to compensate them ). Property is a 5* property only with its peaceful atmosphere.
And finally found an insect in my room.
They also charge for sanitizing the room ( mandatory) which I think should be free.
They even asked for extra charges for meal plates ( shocking )
Seems it was my unlucky day ..will definitely like to stay their again ( but hopefully with peaceful environment ).

Me and my husband had a wonderful stay at The Resort Madh Marve. We had come to celebrate my birthday. The staff took all the care to make it special by decorating the room beautifully and a tasty cake to compliment it. The property is beautiful with a wonderful sea view, delicious and clean food served so well, helpful and cheerful staff who make sure that you have a peaceful stay. Tanishka who is the Guest Relationship Associate was very welcoming to us and made sure that everything was perfect in regard to our stay. The room was big, clean with all the amenities, a big balcony with sea view hygienic washroom, tv, iron board, tea and coffee corner, well regulated ac and a clean and comfortable bed. The check in and check out was hassle free. Keep up the good work.

Located besides the serene Aksa Beach, this property is perfect for several purposes like a weekend getaway therapy with your family / spouse. The location is beautiful even for wedding functions.
The Resort has multiple things that will keep you occupied throughout the day. As soon as you check-in, you can head for the lunch buffet. Rest in your cozy luxurious room and later in the evening head for adventure sports, archery, rifle shooting. They have a beautiful and shacks where you can relax and enjoy. To rejuvenate, The Resort also has Aristo Spa where you can book a massage therapy for yourself. I got a Charcoal Full body massage done and felt so stress free and good. After a pleasant shower, I headed for the dinner buffet and since it was 14th February, Valentine's Day, there was a special dinner setup with candle light, live music and special desserts and mocktail menu. The chef curated some lipsmacking dishes on the menu and with a satisfied tummy, I chilled in the room and had a peaceful sleep. Morning started off spending some time in the balcony and around the open garden of The Resort. Then relished the breakfast and packed my bags bidding adieu to this wonderful place. It was indeed a comfortable and splendid stay.

Yes there is a gate which opens towards a beach but it is not a private beach like in Goa hotels....this hotel gate opens to a beach which is full of many shops and lots of croud
