The Leela Mumbai garners consistent acclaim for its cleanliness, with guests highlighting immaculate rooms and facilities. Nestled conveniently near the airport and metro, the hotel is celebrated for its tranquil yet accessible location. The spacious, comfortable rooms, especially the Royal Club offerings, garner appreciation for their soundproofing.
While the hotel's serene atmosphere and luxury are often praised, opinions on value for money are divided. Guests rave about the top-notch service and amenities, including the opulent club lounge and spa, though some note occasional service lapses.

An oasis of peace and quiet in the heart of a large, busy typical Indian city. i have no idea how many stars it has but i would certainly give them 5 or more. I stayed there on a five day business trip that included a conference held in the hotel itself. From the moment of being collect from the nearby airport by the hotels car service to passing through the security at the front gates i felt safe and secure at all times. The staff were brilliant always pleasant, smiling and with a genuine greeting. Breakfast was the expected wide ranging buffet with a vast choice of options and of course eggs or omelettes cooked to order. Room was well looked after and immaculately cleaned each day, especially enjoyed the wet room power shower for a morning wake up, and a nice touch is the evening round by housekeeping who happily topped up coffee or any other shortage you may have and if you were not in the room they turned down the bed for you. The gym/exercise room was well equipped and air conditioned with an attendant always there. The grounds and outside pool were equally immaculate and well kept and the outside patio and fountain a great place to sit after dinner for a quiet beer and conversation.
i was lucky enough to have a spare day before my flight home so booked on the hotels own city tour through the ever helpful concierge desk and highly recommend this as an option for seeing south Mumbai, the hotel is in the northern part of the city. Once again the hotels car and driver gave me a day to remember with stops at several key points around the city, highlights for me were the dhobi and the Gandhi's house oh and passing the home of India's wealthiest man with its own helipad on the roof. All in all i would recommend the Leela as a great option for any visit to Mumbai

We were in Mumbai for a short holiday and booked the leela. Wonderful hospitality. When you walk in the grand lobby - perfect spot for some beautiful pictures - welcomes you. Comfortable rooms and washroom. And a hearty buffet breakfast. The team is wonderful and so welcoming and polite. It’s like being at home. I was surprised with a bouquet and a lovely cake for my birthday during my stay and I loved how they had it ready at midnight when I walked I into the room. Lush gardens surround the swimming pool and who would say the property is literally minutes away from the airport. Good connectivity with the metro if you need to go shopping. Otherwise book the cabs. If you are looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay this is the place. They even freshly prepared meals for my toddler and served them piping hot. Needless to say, they are my first choice to book. Thank you for the lovely stay team Leela.

Just returned from two stays in this fine hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to India, the latter stay was for 8 days. We booked Club rooms, which are extremely comfortable and well-appointed and on our second stay we were upgraded to a suite, which by any standards is exceptionally luxurious. The hotel has a number of fine restaurants, the Indian Restaurant, the Italian restaurant and the Chinese restaurant all being superb. The breakfast in the exclusive Club restaurant, which serves as the Indian Restaurant in the evening, was exceptional and snacks throughout the day in the Club lounge were escellent, particularly the afternoon tea. Pool facilities are exceptional, it is hard to believe you are in a at times frenetic bustling and vibrant city and the standard of service throughout was outstanding, everyone being incredibly friendly and helpful. It is hard to single out anyone, but we must mention Deepak, restaurant manager for the Indian restaurant and Club breakfasts, who is extremely helpful and knowledgable and was determined to ensure that we tried a large variety of local dishes and even offered to give us recipes and teach us how to cook them. Consequently we tried many dishes and breads that simply are not available in the UK. Deepak told us on several occasions to treat the Leela as our home, which he meant and it really made our stay. A big thank you also to Hitesh in the Club lounge who was also very friendly and helpful. This is a fabulas hotel. There are many superb hotels in India, but the Leela is outstanding and we cannot wait to return. Another benefit is that it is ten minutes from the airport

The Leela Mumbai is a beautiful hotel that is conveniently located next to Mumbai international airport - door to door you are looking at no more than 10 minutes by car.
Front Office staff are excellent and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite which was already a nice start to what would be a very short stay as we had an early checkout out. However, due to an issue with the flight we had to extend our stay by one night.
So, why the low rating. The main issue is that that non-front office staff (housekeeping, room service and drivers) all want constant tipping for not doing very much. Appreciate that these staff may not be paid as much, but it’s almost an expectation that anyone that comes to attend to your room needs to be given something. Here are some examples:
1. On our first night we arrived at around 3:30am and were taken up to the room by a staff member, who showed us around the suite. I politely asked him that no need because we just need to shower and will go straight to sleep as we have a very early checkout. He then started to engage in small conversations - sir anything else and said goodbye at least 3 times and was slow leaving the room. It was all a hint for a tip and finally when leaving the room he slammed the door.
2. After an issue with our flight we had to stay another night. We ordered lunch and pretty much the same experience. Lunch got delivered and table got set up. The guy really tried his hardest to make small talk. Arranged my peanuts, opened my beer....
3. Driving to the airport we used the hotel car which was already twice more than a normal taxi. I helped unload the luggage the airport and fetched the airport trolley and arranged the luggage. Again same thing.....driver stood there uncomfortably.
I really have no issue tipping for those staff that go above and beyond but what staff delivered was what you expect at a five start hotel. Also, having arrived at 3:30am I also didn’t have loose change to be able to tip. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable.
Leela Management, this needs to be rectified. You are either not paying your staff enough and hence they are relying on guest tips or they are just not trained to 5 star levels.
I would not stay here again until this improves.

Me and my daughter stayed at The Leela from 13-20th June 2021 as a part of mandatory institutional quarantine after my return from the middle east. This hotel is very much accessible (with in 2kms) from the international mumbai airport. We were dropped at the hotel front porch by the best bus as for the quarantine people the airport tranfer is done via best bus.
We had a booking with the hotel already and the check in was done promptly. We had to drop our passports as per the quarantine guests protocol and thereafter were assisted to our room with our luggages.
The room was just so beautiful and cozy , much beyond my expectation. It was really very very spacious. The room structure was totally different from the usual ones. The bathrooms were really neat n clean . The bedding and pillows were very soft and comfortable. All the items which we normally get complimentary as a part of our hotel stay are complimentary even in this quarantine package too. It was just an amazing feel to be in this room after such a tiring journey.
Our floor was supervised by Mr. Satappa Patil. He and his crew made sure that we have all the supplies for the entire 7 days including the toiletries , tea, coffe, sugar, bottles of water....before we even checked-in . He was very helpful and also came n checked each day whether we require any thing else. They made sure they refilled all the supplies before they even got over.
The food was served in disposable plates with cover and left right outside our door on a table as we were not allowed to step out of our rooms. The food menu changed everyday for breakfast , lunch n dinner. The food served was tasty and the food quality and consistency was great. They serve both veg and non veg food as a part of their quarantine menu
My daughter had online classes and was dependent on the wifi from the hotel . But that too dint disappoint us. The network was good enough to support her classes and most of my work too for all 7 days. We dint watch the TV much in the room but they had all the main channels that too in HD
The hospitality of the staff is really appreciated and I must say, me and my daughter never felt that we were quarantined. The hotel also arranged for our pcr test on the 6th day of my stay. I am extremely happy that i chose to stay at The Leela. To be frank I never thought my stay would be so comfortable. I would like to thank the entire crew of the hotel for taking so much effort to make our stay a lot more easier and comfortable.

We were a family of 3 adults traveling - My parents and me. It was 18 January 22 and it was a staycation in the same city. It was my parents marriage 38th anniversary which was a very special occasion for us. Firstly I was skeptical whether the area/locality would be suitable enough because Andheri east is a busy area. But trust me -it was a great decision. I booked a Royal Club Room and they upgraded us to a Suite Room (room no. 637). We loved the ambience and the Suite room was so spotlessly clean! Leela's room decor is one of the best in the class. Also the Housekeeping staff arranged a complimentary cake for my parents. While that gesture is expected out of a 5 star hotel but in todays times it is special. Hotels like Taj give you some useless reasons on covid, and charge you extra for these things which actually build moments.
Also the entire restaurant, housekeeping all staff were polite and very good. Buffet dinner was delicious, non greasy and non oily. Buffet Breakast was Lavish and every dish tasted delicious.
If you are staying in the Leela go for Suite rooms and get pampered with uninterrupted Terminal 2 views along with one of the best services. I will surely visit again. Thanks once again Team Leela.

I had the opportunity to stay in Leela in June and I was left mighty impressed with their hospitality and services. The staff went to all possible extent to make mine and my families stay absolutely comfortable and memorable. Would personally like to give a shout out to the housekeeping staff Hanumant and Sunil who everyday by default made our rooms with utmost diligence, Chef Deepak from Citrus who pampered my little kid and made sure all his requests were fulfilled. Lastly the gym instructors Amit, Sunil and Pranav who were absolutely a delight to work out with. The value and beliefs that run in the DNA of Leela crew are visible in each and every interaction. For me Leela was not just a stay but an experience that I will always cherish !

On our arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and we're delighted to know that we were upgraded to a suite. Ms Pooja escorted us to the room and was very welcoming informative and courteous. Harsh from housekeeping was prompt in delivering the water we requested. The room was clean ,sanatised and we'll maintained.we had some concerns at the Citrus restaurant regarding our dining vouchers and Tushar the Manager was prompt in attending and resolving our concerns. He was also very accomodating during breakfast and often checked with us for our needs. Kudos to the wait staff at the Citrus who work hard to deliver exceptional service always. Kishore at Citrus was attentive during service and ensured our cake order was placed and delivered as promised. I also noticed the staff sanatising the contact surfaces at the Citrus as I went to collect my cake which gave me the assurance that we were in good hands and a safe place.
Overall we had a great vacation experience as always and we loved the food as well. Mr. Gerald Gomes at the lobby was personable and offered the upgrade which made this visit a very special and memorable experience. Thankyou and keep up the great work.
See you again soon.

We chose the Leela Mumbai airport because of our wonderful stay we had at the Leela Bangalore. Unfortunately, these two hotels couldn’t be more different in their service and product.
The Leela Mumbai is a 5 star wanna be that has let their product (rooms) and service go down hill.
We stayed in a Royal Club suite, which boasts a butler, lounge access and a large living area. The suite is totally underwhelming due to old furnishings, a dreary colour pallet and the proximity to what smelled like garbage.
Butler service was non-existent and their attention to service was disappointing. Overall, the money spent on this room was a waste! You would be better served at the JW Marriott.
The towels at the pool were literally thread bear. Fabric pulls adorned the towel as if a cat tried to claw its way out of its hideous grip.
The restaurant venue itself was nice, however, service was again, nonexistent. Having to ask for coffee several times throughout the meal is not something expected at this type of property.
The management of this hotel need to up their game if they want to keep up the Leela name as right now it’s more of a holiday inn.

Immaculate room, oozing opulence, very friendly and polite staff and great food is what summarises my stay at The Leela. The only thing I don’t like was the clutter visible from my room window. A more pleasing room view would have been nicer.
The hotel follows COVID protocol quite seriously with every single staff property wearing mask and hand gloves as necessary. Sanitizer dispensers are placed at key points call across the hotel making you feel safe and relaxed in the Pandemic time.
Special thanks to Ms Seema and Ms Tabassum for their welcoming behaviour efficient guest handling.
