Nestled on the shores of Juhu Beach, Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach is lauded for its pristine location and vibrant atmosphere, including live music and picturesque views. However, guests' opinions on cleanliness, service, and room conditions show a stark contrast—some commend the housekeeping and friendly staff, while others experience service inconsistencies and upkeep concerns.
While the amenities such as the spa and dining are often celebrated, issues with room keys and noise from the live music sometimes mar the overall experience. Despite these mixed reviews, the hotel's value is a point of contention, with some guests feeling that the high rates do not align with the quality provided.

This 5 star hotel in Juhu Beach is very comfortable with all the mod cons you would expect. The reception area is very big and the staff are all courteous and well trained. The rooms are well appointed with a lot of space and the usual 5 star amenities. The walls are a bit thin and so it can get noisy depending on your neighbour. The rooms are large with a comfy bed and the best part of the room is the bathroom which is large and has the power shower rain forest gushing water; which is like paradise. The rooms facing the beach and higher up are very nice and quieter. The breakfast is very nice and varied with Indian and Continental spreads. We appreciated the healthy corners and chefs cooking on demand. The waiters are all very humble and always smiling and willing to assist. The area in the front of the hotel is not very nice but if you are a beach person, then this is paradise for you. We stayed there for two nights and enjoyed the beach, we will certainly come again for a longer stay. The pool area is also very large and the bar is very noisy and active. Being a teetotaller I could not give an opinion on the bar; but the pool area is very vibrant and large.

If you are looking for a base in North Mumbai then this is a great place to make your base. This place is clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast buffet and friendly, helpful staff ( Bipin showed us to our rooms both times we stayed here and couldn’t have been more informative and welcoming). I am sorry i don’t know the names of the cleaning staff on the fifth floor but they were excellent too as were all the reception staff and the lovely lady who showed us to our breakfast table every morning- she does a great job seating people at busy times.
We stayed in several hotels on our long trip to India but this is the one that felt like home.
I’ve only given four stars although all the staff we met in the 10 days in total we stayed here were absolutely excellent - I have deducted one for two things.
The terrible muzak playing in the mornings near the benches looking out onto the beachfront. Turn that off. Waves lapping and beach noises beat modern ‘ambient’ electronic whooping noises.
The fact that weddings at the hotel take over all the facilities including the pool area. If you came with children expecting to use the pool having it out of action for days at a time because of weddings would be disappointing and the pool area needs work-proper shade and services to reflect the quality of the rest of the hotel and moving the hotel smoking area away from the entrance to the pool area is a must.
That said we had an excellent two stays and we would recommend it.

I booked a stay with Novotel for 2 nights to ring in a special occasion (my Wedding Anniversary) and I couldnt have been more pleased to have chosen them for this break. I spoke with Mario Bennedict (Room Division Manager) ahead of the visit so I can brief him on special requests around :
a) Early Check-in and Late Check-out
b) Flower decor with a note (considering it was for a special occasion)
c) Provide one of the best Sea-view rooms
All the above was taken care of to my satisfaction, all the more they also surprised us with a Cake and some additional decor on the Bed. In addition to this their Guest experience team at the Front office and the Housekeeping and Room Service teams were always prompt to respond to our requests and did not leave any oppurtunity to make us feel special. All in all it was a very memorable stay for me and my family.
(Thanks Mario, Poonam and team for making one for us!).
I would highly recommend stay at Novotel for its location (right in front of the Juhu beach), Service and Staff, Rooms (especially the Sea facing rooms).

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mumbai. I can’t give the hotel a rating less than one, but I am giving it a -1. I stayed at the hotel in a group of 17 and received the most horrible service from them throughout the entire time I was in Mumbai. The first night I had ordered room service and asked them to charge it to the room, they said they couldn’t due to previous experiences. I understood but asked them if I could pay later in the evening because I had no cash on me. I told them I would pay tomorrow, they showed up at my room at 2 am demanding that I pay the bill. I got super frustrated and ended up paying there. In a room for three people there should be three of each thing. I had to ask for a third bed to be set up also towels and water which should have already been set up prior to arrival. On the first night I was placed on a smoking floor, I had children with me and we were surrounded with the smell of cigarettes and ashes. I had requested to be placed on a non smoking floor but they still placed us on a smoking floor. They separated my kids from me and we were placed on two different floors, you need key cards to use elevators and you only had access to your own floor and I ended up being separated from my young kids anyway . They took the entire night to sort out our rooms. The service from hotel staff in general was incredibly unhelpful, housekeeping staff took 2 and a half hours to bring one roll of toilet paper, when I asked for two. The taxes weren’t included in prices of food and drink and we weren’t told about it, which meant we ended up paying way more than the initial price. The manger didn’t take any of our complaints seriously and no action was taken.

Not my best Novotel experience.
First the hotel forgot to pick us up at the airport, even as it was included in the booking. I asked them on arrival and check out but I was mostly questioned if I had given them my arrival time. Which I had, it is clearly stated in the booking. I was not offered an apology or compensation.
We had to change the room key card twice as it did not work in the elevator. We met other guests with same problem 3 times during our stay. Maybe time to do something about it.
Our room was prepared for 1 guest (1 toothbrush, 1 pair of slippers, 1 glas and 1 spoon for the cups. After asking we got another toothbrush the second day.
The lounge was ok and the staff for the first 2 days, 1 - 3rd of Jan was very friendly.
The cleaning guy, Aksay I think his name was, was good and did his best.

Hi , I guess this is one of the best and strategically located hotels on the Juhu beach. The rooms are quite nice and so are the bathrooms. However it was very strange that both housekeeping and room service staff was very poor. First of all I get irked when a star hotel doesnt differentiate between single occupancy and double occupancy though they charge you differently. So its big X in the box when you find a single dental kit, single pair of slippers etc. And then when you need to call them multiple times for any thing missing due their fault , it is not worth it. We faced the same problem at room service , you need to call multiple times to get the table cleared or to order something When we did try to point this put the staff on the other end of the ohone was highly unconcerned . Definitely a very low for value. The lunch we ordered was quite good but the dessert was an absolute disaster and had to be returned. I guess it speaks of bad management and training

Our stay was improved by our room cleaner, who was called Akshay. Akshay always took great care in cleaning our room and he made sure that he tidied our room as much as he possibly could. He was extremely polite and he always greeted warmly when he was cleaning our room. On top of all this, Akshay made a baby elephant from towels and left roses in our room! Akshay made sure he went the extra mile to improve our stay.

My kids ordered food when my wife and I were out. They ordered there food and they were going to charge it to the room but that wasn't aloud according to the restaurant manager so my kids explained that there parents were out and they said that they could pay later. After awhile the called my kids 5 times regarding the bill and eventually we came back at around 1:45am. At 2:00am They came and knocked on our door at 2:00am to pay the bill.
So in conclusion I would rate this
-1 or maybe a 0.

After reading reviews I was slightly worries about booking this hotel but I though its a world renown brand surely its good. It was the worst decision I could have made. Prior to check in I booked through booking.com and for some reason the booking got cancelled. I then tried to ring several times on several days to book straight through the hotel. Would they pick up? No! And when they did they apparently processed the payment and said they would call back to confirm but they didn’t so I had to call again several times and each time you have to explain the story to different people who won’t let you speak to the person you spoke to originally! Anyway on arriving at the hotel, no greeting, at check in we explained the service we received - no apology. In line with the current coronavirus situation you would also expect hygiene standards to be even higher. Not the case here, doors, handles, windows, floor at the pool, chairs at breakfast even the trays for croissants at breakfast were absolutely covered in filth. The toast machine was overloaded with crumbs everywhere. I complained to the manager about dirty towels in my bathroom and she apologised and had directed housekeeping to get them changed but they didn’t. I had to chase them up THREE times just to get clean towels! A basic human necessity. They say you get what you paid for but this is not worth a penny we paid for. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Also we thought on several occasions perhaps its a one off, perhaps its not always like this. Someone checking out at the same time as us checking in was also complaining about his luggage not being collected as he had a flight and he had tried to ring the reception again no one picked up. Its a nice looking hotel, but it needs some cleaning on a deep level, and customer service. We had just arrived from trident which is also in mumbai, wish we hadn’t left there! It was 100000000x better and cheaper!

Dear Guest, I am most concerned to learn about the shortfall in service during your recent stay with us. Please accept my most sincere apologies for this experience. Ideally, in such a scenario, our ambassadors are well briefed to immediately adapt to the guest request should they highlight anything during their stay so if we know your stay details to address this directly with you. Nonetheless, rest assured that this service lapse was reviewed with the concerned teams to ensure a renewed commitment to our normally high standards. We have taken a serious note of the areas of opportunity that your review has brought to our attention with regards to cleanliness at the hotel. We maintain the highest levels of hygiene and sanitation and I have personally addressed your comments with our Executive Housekeeper for their immediate attention to prevent similar situations from recurring in the future. It is our sincere intent to sensitize our ambassadors further in their guest experiences and at same the time to assure you of our best services during your next visit to Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach. We request you to kindly afford us another opportunity to serve you better in the future. Regards, Gorav Arora General Manager

Check in was a pain. It tok was close 40 min to check in because these guys gave us rooms on different floors. The logic was that name of booking was different in 4th room so they assumed that we were no family. Upon request the manager, we got our rooms on same floor with one being a little off than the rest. One incident which has really turned me off from Novotel is lack of courtesy. Since we booked 4 rooms and they charged my card in advance, on one specific night while some of us were out & our parents ordered food (in room dining), the staff was very reluctant in being paid by us later. He insisted our parents to pay right then & their because we were checking out early next day. I mean who does this? WHO?? If you are travelling with family, I will advice you guys to consider another hotel because Novotel is very professional & unkind.
The rooms were big compared to Mumbai standards. Rooms were clean. In house dining was prompt.
