Spanning two-tiered terraces on Sveti Stefan Island, with a sea view from every table, Arva restaurant is a luxurious dining experience. It represents Aman's tribute to the bold flavour, culinary inventiveness & sustainable approach of traditional Italian cookery. Rare ingredients are treated with traditional Italian gastronomic reverence and inspired modern innovation. Montenegro is blessed with an exceptional range of fresh produce and local seafood, showcased on the Arva menu. Arva's menu takes the familiar flavour combinations from Italian gastronomy and spins them in exciting new directions. It offers many specialties - three-hour braised octopus, herb-roasted organic chicken, and fish al cartocchio being just a few of them.

When we visited the hotel was closed for renovation although we got to book a guided walking tour to explore the island. The ticket is €25 per person and covers a 1.5 hour tour through the entire island and explores churches, common areas and a display room to see. It’s a great photo opportunity as many of the areas are picturesque and clam, allowing enough time to grab some photos undisturbed. Our guide on the day was Maria, who was very informative and kind. She answered a lot of questions on the history of the churches present and also took some photos of us on the day 😁 If you’re looking to do something unique in Sveti Stefan, you can book this tour at the building right behind Queen’s beach(signs on the way) they have one every 30 mins with different guides.

We had the best time here this fall. The island had just closed for the season, so we stayed in the Villa for three nights(but were given a private tour of the island). Our room was spacious, comfortable, light, and had a beautiful ocean view. The staff took care of our every wish and need. The food was to die for. We spent one day at the private beach, enjoyed the spa and had the best massage of my life. Can't wait to return!

I've never stayed at an Aman before so I cannot compare it to others as other reviewers have done. Notwithstanding the critique that this hotel is not on hte par with other Aman hotels, I thought this hotel was in a class by itself. For one, the hotel has a whole medieval village as part of its grounds which is closed to the public and is for hotel guests. Being able to walk in a medieval village without crowds in Europe is truly a unique experience. There are also main grounds outside the island and the hotel has a boat to take guests back and forth. The service is what would be expected from a hotel of this caliber. It has its own private beaches as well as several pools. The unique UNESCO heritage side of Sveti Stefan alone makes this a must visit hotel even if one does not have the good fortune of staying there.

The tour of the island of St Stefan is a waste of time and money. The tour lasts 30 min and costs 25e, it is rushed and you don't have time to see well or enjoy. Our tour guide was Marijana who speaks average or below average English. She knows nothing of the history so when you ask her a question she snaps and says everybody is asking the same or Oh my God what a question. Instead of talking about the history she showed the apartment where the night costs 3000 e (which is nothing special btw). All in all, she is a rude, ignorant person. But you get a free water😊 (probably the most expensive water you will pay =25e) And yes, if you don't speak English or Serbian you will not be able to understand anything. If you still choose to go on this tour, pick another guide. Avoid Marijana.

We spent a great vacation at Sveti Stefan in July 21 and we’re lucky to visit Queens beaches for free. The hotels didn’t work there and everybody could visit these excellent beaches for free! Crystal clear water, big wide line of beaches, amazing nature and sunsets!
One big minus: be ready there are no toilets at all close to these beaches, it was so strange to me. The guests had to use some places in the park as a toilet. I asked a few times to security about the toilet but he answered there are no any, only on Sveti Stefan beach which is a couple km from there😳

There are so many things to like about this resort...
The Chalets on the Islands are very charming and well appointed. Ours with a terrace and lovely view, some seemed a bit darker on the island facing side.
Theysituatiin is very special on the Island due to the village feel...Villa Milocer very quiet and elegant
Lovely private beach with perfect club and spa..
Good good but at times a bit rustic
A good Time to go now in times if Covid, combine with Dubrovnik, wonderfully quiet now.

We first started with Aman in Bhutan a few years back now and the experience was wonderful. We have been to 5 other Amans, including Marakech, before stopping here at Villa Milocer. The experience here was so sub par as to permanently dissuade us from doing further business with Aman. During our planned stay one of Aman's investors in Montenegro, a Greek shipping business man named Victor Restis took over the hotel with his Thai business investor and co-owner of caffeine pusher Red Bull. The investor and his buddies filled the hotel with tobacco smoke (the management hadn't the balls to tell them to take it outside), took all the luxury cars for their exclusive use, and were generally catered to hand and foot while the other guests were treated as second class citizens. At one point upon walking back to my room from an outer restaurant on the property a bodyguard of, presumably Victor Restis, jumped out of his car and asked me what I was doing there. I dont expect to be treated like a king at a hotel but I do expect to, at the very least, be treated the same as any other guest. Not the case here and I think the most offensive thing is that our poor treatment was the direct result of the arrogance of the wealthy investors in the property. Please, if you have any appreciation for the power of the written word over the arrogant billionaires of the world (and not all of them are arrogant) don't stay here.

My family and I wanted to see one of the most famous places in Muntenegro.
Sveti Stefan is the image on the cover of one of the most known and biggest tourist guide of Muntenegro (15 eur, you can find it at each souvenir centre, now, in 2015)
We spent three days in Kotor and we wanted to see this wonderful little island.
The guy who stayed at the gate (at the entrance of the pedestrian bridge) told us that is a private property. It was forbidden to enter - no visit, no photos, no meal, no coffee.
It is not fair to have no sign that is a private property!
We'll come again after 30 years when the lease will be finished :(
Dear Muntenegro: just say it is a private hotel and not a wonderful attraction to be visited by ordinary tourists.

No sandy beaches, poor quality food, tiny and overcrowded swimming pool. Some rooms have views over very ugly buildings and there is no place to relax in the island (no lounges, no sofas no confortable chairs....) whilst having a drink.

Shocking... The montenegro government has sold its soul - and a stunning part of its cultural heritage to the developers... We travel the world and stay at many fenomenal hotels but never have I been treated like this... I was held at the gate for 20minutes until they verified that I was on the list... As this hotel is sooo exclusive... Tourists and normal non 700euro per night people are no longer allowed on the island as "the owner doesn't like it!"

Really... Not what I expected from the aman!

The windows in our room were small, but it really should not matter because the views from the pool, bar, restaurant, etc are spectacular. It's a 500-year-old place and its charm is way more important than a great view from your room.

I don't know when they might close for winter, but I would guess Nov. Regarding prices, it depends on the rooms, but they range from US$600-1200.
