We were 5 families - all vegetarians and the resort chef Mahboob Subhani and his team did everything that they could and took our dining experience to the next level. We were spoilt for choices and the taste, quality and presentation was very good. In some cases they offered more than what we had asked for. While the resort needs some uplift, the service staff make up for the inconvenience (if any). The facilities at the resort are well kept. I will certainly visit again with friends and Family.

We came to the resort and stayed for 3 days as i had read that it was a family friendly place.It was a surprise trip to celebrate my husband birthday. I had booked a room near the beach as i wanted to be able to access it without much hassle.Due to the sliding doors issue near the veranda, we were visited by numerous sandflies whilst we were out having dinner. They were attracted to the lights and we were quite worried as we had our young child with us. We didn't slept well that night as they were all over the bed and the toilet. We had to express our thanks to Sheila who came to our rescue and did a room change. It was near to the pool and lovely. The credit goes to its restaurant staff as they were always there to lend a helping hand whenever you needed them. The downside is their reception staffs which were not as accommodating as the others. Coming from someone who had been in the hospitality industry for more than 10 years, Service with a smile is a must in this industry. That's when your guests keep coming back. The fireshow and snorkling activity was our best take-away from this trip. My husband wished they had more beverage choices though. My small child adored the pool. Monkeys and monitor lizards were in abundant and we also spotted some bats outside our veranda ceiling, which was a delight to our eyes. Thank you Berjaya for making our stay memorable and exciting. We enjoyed our stay here mainly due to the friendly and helpful resort team who made us feel so welcomed here! Thank you Sheila, all the staff, the snorkeling team and the Filipino band members that gave us a lot of fun time! Thank you R2 (yoga instructor) for providing a very enjoyable yoga session with a lot of patience! The downsides were the rooms that we stayed were pretty dated and the minibars made occasional loud noise at night. A piece of advice for the ATV ride to Turtle beach, please do not attempt it if you have not driven an ATV before, the route was tough for novice, my sister lost control of it and fell off from the ATV, fortunately the resort had wheelchairs provided and the staff was very helpful, sending her to see a doctor and assisting in pushing the wheelchair for us whenever we went, thank you everyone!…

One of the best of the hotel is the yoga teacher. We enjoyed a lot with her classes. In fact is the first time we have a professional yoga instructor in a beach resort. Many thanks R2 for make us feel better with your yoga sessions

Good hospitality from the Berjaya Staff, from reception, coffee house and house keeping. Excellent yoga class, met an experience teacher and get to practice with her during my stay. Posture alignment and tips shared by yoga teacher was beneficial to me.

Resort grounds were not well kept and many exposed electrical wires. Beach setting was amazing. Beach bar great. Restaurant ran out of options due to insufficient stock on our second night. Diving was fantastic. Rooms adequate. Most waiters could not understand English in the restaurant.

Amazing, beautiful beach. It was an idyllic setting, crystal clear waters. There was lots available to do on the resort including a games room, tennis courts, a great pool area. Delicious breakfast buffet, the bread was amazing. The rooms were a bit worn, but there is currently some refurbishment going on. We had the buffet dinner a few times, the main highlight being the desserts. Great snorkelling trips can be arranged from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A paradise on a wonderful island!!! The beach is very beautiful, especially the area near the small pier. Very fine sand and a promenade full of palm trees and vegetation. A wonder to disconnect!!! The staff is very friendly and super efficient. I have problems with my neck and the pillows were very hard and as soon as I went to speak with Sheila, the guest experience executive, after half an hour I already had new ones in our room. The “à la carte” food is very rich and the waiters and breakfast staff are super polite and always helping you with what you need. In the pool, the staff is always waiting to change your towels, open and close your umbrellas, very polite as well. It is true that the rooms need renovation as the furniture is old and the windows do not close well, but I have to say that everything was very neat. I understand that being an island 2:30hours by ferry from the mainland, it must be very expensive and complicated to bring new furniture, carpenters to renovate the cabinets, etc… but they should think about it. We stayed in two rooms that communicated with each other and everything went very well. For the price we paid, we would definitely repeat!!!…

Actually staying on Resort right now for 3 nights. All I can say is what a shambles of a resort hotel. There are parts that are nice, but this place needs major upgrades and investment. We’re staying in a 2 bedroomed family suite they call it, mmm, it’s basically just 2 inter-connecting rooms, and are very old, dated, smelly, mouldy, window handles broken, lights all wired incorrectly. There has obviously been a bad leak from the bathroom and the wood floor is rotten, and rising, the room needs to be repaired but hasn’t. We asked for a replacement battery for the in-room Safe deposit box. Staff member arrived, said she fixed it and left swiftly. It still doesn’t work just comes up with ‘error’, staff aren’t bothered even they’ve given up. Wi-Fi absolutely awful, you get some wifi at reception but the room is non-existent. I appreciate we should be relaxing and not wanting wifi but when your on holiday in the 21st Century you do want to keep in touch with loved ones and having access to wifi is a must. The photos on the website look really good, but in reality these paint a incorrect picture, the resort is tired. Staff don’t seem to bothered about helping, they’re just doing their job but it’s like they don’t care, the place has been left to rot almost. The setting is great, beach is lovely, but that’s all it has going for it. My advice pick somewhere else as this is an ageing resort and the website is selling itself incorrectly.…
